If You Like Roger Waters

One of Waters' major influences was epic folk artist Roy Harper... another fearless bard who blasted the state and war throughout his musical career. Check it out.

Harper actually sang the vocal on Floyd's "Have a Cigar" and Led Zeppelin paid tribute to him in their "Hats Off to Roy Harper".

Live your Life, and make it count

...make it stand for something.

me, I will stand unfraid for peace, justice, truth, and will fear not the consequences.

What a beautiful song, and thanks for sharing.

Deep in my heart, I too believe, that we shall overcome.

O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I'm not going to give

any of the bleeding heart idiots of this world (Roger Waters being one) any more attention time. These assholes are guilty of putting the world in the position it is as much or more than anyone.

I have no more care for Israel or Palestine. They are positioned exactly the way the globalist Puppet masters want them as well as their own political masters, with all of our attention on it. It's a perfect game of "watch what this hand is doing" while they rob and murder the rest of the world with the unwatched hand.

This is NOT Pink Floyd.

Oh and Waters, I am not a fan. Thankfully you left and Gilmour stayed or Pink Floyd would have vanished entirely.

OK Roger,

and with all due respect, it's good to spread the injustice of Israel's
treatment of it's neighbors,....but where is your voice and support for the very person who would put an end to much of the misery? Imagine having had Dr Pauls message, combined with powerful graphics, at each venue on your round the world tour. Now THAT would have seriously Pro Active.

Don't be so Amero-centric

Is it reasonable to expect Roger Waters, a British, left-anarchist, musician, to sing songs about libertarian U.S. politicians?

But then again, Johnny Rotten, has...

I don't expect him to sing about Dr Paul,

but I thought an anti war singer who lives in The Hamptons, and is married to an American, may have been keen to spread Ron Paul's anti war message.

keen to spread Ron Paul's anti war message?

Is "The Wall" and "The Final Cut" and much of his solo work not anti-war enough for you? What do you want from the guy, RP on stage with him?

since the MSM deliberately blocked Dr Paul and his message, what could possibly be wrong with RW putting it OUT THERE. Anything?

That would be great

...but not plausible. Waters' and Paul's economics are incompatible. Waters is a left-anarchist (ie anarcho-communist). That's not to say that there isn't common ground between communists and libertarians (ie opposition to imperialism, banksterism, and corporatism), but Waters has his own message and persona.

No Gilmour =

No Pink Floyd
This is Roger Waters, of Pink Floyd. Waters sends a strong message but his music has always been sub-par without Barrett/Gilmour, Mason, and Wright.

..Hate to nitpick, but as mentioned below, Barrett was not a contributor to Meddle, Obscured By Clouds, Darkside..., Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall or The final Cut so, although I do appreciate his Dadaish influence, I think Waters' best writing came after Barrett.

I also think that Waters' writing style is perhaps more influnced by Roy Harper than by Syd Barrett. Listen to "Stormcock" or "One of These Days in England" and I think you'll concur.

No Waters =

I think the same could be said of Gilmour without Waters. These guys made each other great... Even when they couldn't stand to be in the same room together, they still made incredible, groundbreaking music. Really sad neither can check their ego.

Gilmour had the temerity to call Momentary Lapse of Reason "Pink Floyd" when he was the sole PF writer recording demos with session guys. Then he brought Mason and Wright in for the tour. I don't regard it as a Floyd album.

This is all we need is a Gilmour/Waters flame but...I couldn't resist.

I vote Gilmour...

I think Gilmour is brilliant, while never cared much for Waters. I had the good fortune to see Gilmour live after he released his "On An Island" album a few years back. It was spectacular :)

just like sting kinda sucks without stew and andy, too. never, ever, even once thought of gilmour as pink floyd!

Wright and Barrett are dead

And Syd Barrett wasn't much use to the band since late 60's early 1970's. It's kinda crazy, only two remaining members left in the Beatles, and three with pink floyd. Two if you don't count Waters as "Pink Floyd".
