This song
is about redistribution of wealth... -1
She should be singing about being taxed to death by the government, instead it's about the have nots raiding and assaulting the have's.
However, Tracy does make great sounding music.

How so?
And also,
How is re-distributing wealth bad if it takes the form of victims of government theft taking back their own property?

From my recollection
this song was championed by Russell Simmons at Babyface prod's and using it as a redistribution ploy (though I wondered then what I wonder now and that is why doesn't he move the ghetto into his home if he thinks this way).
Your question is valid, but how much goes to whom? And how are you going to take anything back from a government that has nothing other than $16Trillion of debt? Nothing left to redistribute if you want to take this path and redefine what the song is talking about.

Simmons used it for something called Wake Up Everybody in 2004

As a work of art, I see it not as a mirror to life, but more like a funhouse mirror with a billion facets. I hear what it means to me now, not what it meant to someone else then.

Fair enough
Though I would bet the creator of the song would differ with your position of the fun house mirror redefintion of her intent, you clearly find no meaning in that and frankly I don't particular find any meaning in her message either.

My meaning is that every pair of ears hears a song differently..
and these meanings can change over time...
All art is a billion-faceted mirror. The funhouse is this crazy collective waking dream that we all seem to take so seriously.

bump for UP vote, and...
...an excuse to toss a "shout-out link" to Crystal's excellent cover of Tracy's killer "Give Me One reason" song...
