How Mitt Romney Suckered His Fat-Cat Donors

"Contrary to reports, the Romney camp probably wasn't terribly surprised by the election results."

November 19, 2012 | Alternet

The big chin-scratching story in the aftermath of the 2012 campaign is that the Romney-Ryan campaign was “shell-shocked” by its loss to Barack Obama. "I don't think there was one person who saw this coming," a senior adviser to the campaign told CBS . “There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win, and you don't,” said another. “It was like a sucker punch."

The most likely explanation for that yawning disconnect is that the campaign figured it was better to appear to be entirely clueless about the race than acknowledge that it had been bullshitting its fat-cat donors about Romney's chances of winning in order to keep the cash spigot open.

A Message To Mitt Romney's "Big, Fat Cat" Donors: REVOLUTION!

Hello, "ladies" and "gentlemen".

It is with Great Pleasure that I write this short letter to you.

I am very happy you lost so much money. I knew you would, gamblers :)

You underestimated who you were up against: The Ron Paul R[3]VOLUTION.

We Are An Army. One of our pennies has more POWER than one of your $100 Dollar Bills. It's just paper. Our Spirit, Passion, Principles, Dedication and Unity is not something "money" can compete against and: We will DEFEAT YOU again.

Whomever you support next, we will defeat. We won, by defeating you.

That was simply Test-Run #2 for us. In 2016 We Will Overwhelm You.

I knew we would and I assured my RON PAUL R[3]VOLUTION family of friends:

Under A Pale Grey Sky We Shall Arise!

Those who were aware of

Those who were aware of Project Vote, realize what it was about and how successful it was for Obama being re-elected.They made it clear who they were going after for votes again.Women, ethnic minorities, young voters and homosexuals.Just look at the 2008 and 2012 exit polls.Project was a huge success. What i found perplexing was that they said the major issue was the economy when the only jobs created by the Obama administration seemed to be government jobs.

Bob Marshall

Democrats think government jobs are "jobs" and that

they add to the economy and well-being of the country.

Many of us thought Romney and the Republicans were throwing

this election, of course they can't let that out. It's in the Republicans best financial interests to have a close election to keep the donations running strong and stay viable for the next election. Can anyone here actually claim the Republicans played this to win? If the big multi milliom dollar donors figure that out, the Republicans will go the way of the Wiggs.

They are going the way of the whigs anyway.

How Mitt Romney Undermined Get-Out-The-Vote Nationwide

Mitt Romney (and those that forced this liberal goon on us, Carl Rove & Fox News) are responsible for undermining conservative get-out-the-vote efforts nationwide at all levels federal, state and local.

Because we had a presidential candidate that EMBARRASSED conservatives could not support, conservative voters stayed at home and did not come out to vote.

Mitt Romney and Fox News are responsible for this liberal flip flopping fiasco.

I think Alternet is lying

I think Alternet is protecting the billionaires it claims was ripped off by Romney's campaign. I think it's those billionaire TPTB that are in the same boat with Obama.. they forced Romney on us to give us Obama. I think they were the bullies at the conventions beating Ron Paul supporters back into the fringes.

I agree...
