UPDATE - Student Expelled for Refusing Location Tracking RFID Badge: Rutherford Institute to Seek Prelim. Injunction

Update to this story: Video: Student Expelled for Refusing Location Tracking RFID Badge

November 20, 2012

SAN ANTONIO, Texas —School officials for the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, have informed high school student Andrea Hernandez that she will be “withdrawn” from John Jay High School’s Science and Engineering Academy, effective Monday, November 26, because she objects to wearing a name badge signifying participation in the school district’s new “Student Locator Project.” The badges include tiny Radio Frequency Identification (“RFID”) chips that produce a radio signal, enabling school officials to track students’ precise location on school property.

For Hernandez, a sophomore, the badges pose a significant religious freedom concern in addition to the obvious privacy issues. In coming to Andrea’s defense, Rutherford attorneys are preparing to seek immediate judicial intervention to ensure that Andrea is not removed from her school as a result of adhering to her religious beliefs and refusing to express approval of the Project.

The kids there

should take a look at the old draft card burning days. A microwave party would be a sensible alternative. Just blame any issues upon those pesky, over powered TSA scanners. Turn the system against it self in any way you can.

If not us than who?

A lone Texan fighting the system ... huh, that sounds familiar.

Three cheers for this strong young lady who enjoys the genuine support of her family.

Her brave stance will serve as a beacon for her fellow classmates. Some will avert their eyes to the bright light of truth, others will scamper back into the darkness of their comfortable caves.

Dr. Ronald Earnest Paul has been a lone beacon of sanity for many, many years. Let us hope that this young lady in San Antonio, Texas doesn't have to wait that long before she is joined by an irate, tireless minority.

On a side note, the Democrat mayor of San Antonio enjoyed quite a bit of public limelight on the major television news networks on election night touting Obama's re-selection and how good life is going to be as a result. This is the sort of leadership holding the reigns of power in S.A.

edit: added an adjective that really needed to be added :-)

Brain Dead Parents

Divide the number of students at this school by the number of Parents that showed up at the protest, and you will see why America is going down the drain. The comi`s on the board should have their pictures posted all over town with caption(s),for all to see. What ever happened to the ole Eggs, and Toilet Paper..maybe it`s time to bring them back. The people setting on that board should have their Mask Removed. All you`ll have to do is challenge them out loud to a meeting outside of their cave..they won`t show up,and you can use that to disgrace them into submission.Better yet! follow them to Church...and don`t forget your signs.

Fed Up Vet

One student?

In Texas??? Unfathomable, and yet somehow, par for the course.

Bright child

Very proud of this young lady, she may be standing alone on this issue at the moment but she is a monument to others who will soon follow her stance. How proud her parents must be and I hope she understands that there are millions of American's that she will "Open their eyes" It only takes one patriot to start a Revolution. I see good things happening in her future.
