Workplace Violence Protection Program/Policy? THREAT to 2nd Amendment at the county/town level?

This was rammed through at our last town hall meeting. Does anyone know about this?

The version passed in our town prohibits "employees" of the town from carrying anytime of "weapon" including guns and knives.

It was passed at the county level in 2011. They are trying to get all the towns to adopt it, hence our town just did. Here is the definition:

Dangerous Weapons: includes, but not limited to, any offensive weapon, pistol, revolver, or other firearm, dagger, razor, stiletto, switchblade knife, or knife having a blade exceeding five (5) inches in length.

I also did see this and wonder if it is some type of an international effort to disarm us at the town, county and state levels:

So to protect employees of a town or county they are to be disarmed. This is totally UnConstitutional!

Only if YOU "allow" it.
