Jesus was born years earlier than thought, claims Pope

The entire Christian calendar is based on a miscalculation, the Pope has declared, as he claims in a new book that Jesus was born several years earlier than commonly believed.

The 'mistake' was made by a sixth century monk known as Dionysius Exiguus or in English Dennis the Small, the 85-year-old pontiff claims in the book 'Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives', published on Wednesday.

"The calculation of the beginning of our calendar – based on the birth of Jesus – was made by Dionysius Exiguus, who made a mistake in his calculations by several years," the Pope writes in the book, which went on sale around the world with an initial print run of a million copies.

Typical Anti-Catholic Propaganda

The Pope is not "declaring" that the Gregorian calender is based on a miscalculation, he's repeating something that scholars have acknowledged for many years. The Pope can't even say the sky is blue without the MSM spinning a story about how "THE POPE DECLARES THE SKY BLUE IN NEW BOOK!" followed by a comment section filled with child molester jokes.

He's a scholar. He writes scholarly books. He's been doing that for decades.

It Means The Pope Is Writing a Book That Will Probably Generate

millions of dollars for the Catholic Church...Business must have tapered off, with millions out of work, donations are down and thus the vehicle for universal enlightenment is running a quart low....

At my Church, donations are up

And it's not just based on second collections. The first collection is to pay our bills. The second collection is to help others from other Catholic orders such as Carmelites, Franciscans to Catholic Charities that are now focused on the aftermath of Sandy.

The Catholic Catechism is the most profound book I have ever read. I learned the work "catholic", means universal. And there is an enire history right before those who are willing sheep. Jesus is THE lamb of God afterall.

I would prefer to be a sheep than a fatted calf or ox, or even goat.

While this matter is only relevent

to the Gregorian Calendar which is a 1500's creation from the Establishment itself, I personally loved the last line where "... celebrating Christmas in the darkest point of the year PROBABLY has something to do with pagan ritual."

They that give up liberty for security deserve neither.

...and what difference

does this "astounding" news make?

Double positive...

If the holiest man on earth said it, it MUST be true. If you read it on the internet, it has GOT to be true. You can't post false things on the internet.

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Holiest man on earth?

There is not ANY truth to that statement bug!
The Pope is just another sinner who needs Christ for salvation like all mankind.

About the birth time of Christ, there is however absolute TRUTH that Christ was not born in December!

He was born in late September, early October.
Yes, that fact I DO KNOW from the Bible!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

My sister studies the Bible enthusiastically and I have always known by account of witness that Jesus was born between 6-4 A.D. and not 3-1..

This is just one way of causing a public stir to turn AGAINST the church and fulfill the anti-christian esoteric agenda.

They that give up liberty for security deserve neither.
