Be thankful today

If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Editors place this on my desk before I awake. What does it mean?
If you have money in the bank [you are a fool!] Your wallet [is stuffed w/ promissory notes]. And some spare change, you are [lucky (coin is minted debt-free)]. Among the top 8% of the world's ["legal tender" printers, aka:] wealthy [are the most vile].
How is it that us poor folk bailed out banks? Why do they profit from war? Why to they "legal tender" us blind?
Federal reserve notes represent the National Debt, since 1913. If we owe the National Debt to banks & bond holders, how is it that those promissory notes... Fed notes... are used to by our daily bread?
Mr Twain, please suggest, "Credit Union." Folks might listen to you.
