Today at the Thanksgiving Table...

...

Three families and three generations were gathered.

Each took a turn expressing for what they were thankful this year.

I read a passage of Scripture given to me earlier this month on The Daily Paul by ID Holbrook:
----------------------------
"Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name."
1 Chronicles 29:11-13
---------------------------

The eldest returned thanks to Our Father in Heaven.

We had a great dinner, conversation and dessert…and a kitchen to clean.

Clean up help was given at the community dinner.

And now we are enjoying time together as a family…it seems we all have various forms of electronics…from football on TV, to smartphones, to notebooks…there are words spoken in between.

How about you?

Continual Thanks!

"By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name"

Amen!

Yes,

Not just one day out of the year!

This was the best

TG ever!

My immediate family has been 'dumped' by the stuck-up yuppie faction. The only color in the rainbow for them is beige, no jokes, no laughing, no drinks, no white trash yams with marshmallows, no no no!

So we had a wonderful time being able to joke around and be ourselves. We drank, we rough-housed, all the dogs were there, we sang, we reminisced, we pigged out - and there was nary a sun dried tomato, or a blanched almond in sight!

I hope everyone had a great time, I'm thankful for this community and all of you.

I am so glad

you had the best thanksgiving ever! Thanks for sharing your fun!

uh...we just eat turkey and

deserts. Of course a little politics always shows up. It is about twenty zionist neocons against me. I am the official "Ron Paul idiot" of the family. They all ganged up on me to blame me for electing obummer....even though I voted for GJ. They sure are taking Rmoney's loss pretty hard. I just chuckle...it makes them even angrier. lol.

Hee Hee, I've been hushed multiple times today LOL

My 8 year old even said his mother is crazy...that would be me :)

My sister has told me shush...but at least my brother-in-law wants to talk.

I did do a little praying that I would not be too offensive though. Seems last time my sister stormed out away from the table...in a public restaurant, so I know that was not productive. Today was much improved...of course I have been awake a little longer now so I am not as frantic as I was LOL.

I am happy to tell people bemoaning Obama as president that I could not in good conscience vote for Romney after watching the lying, stealing and cheating that went on the RNC.

Keep up the good work!

And actually, I think we should start with dessert first!

...

Always Giving thanks to Him who gives everything

This day and forever!

Thanks bear for another wonderful post.

Had a great Thanksgiving day with the family!

" In Thee O Lord do I put my trust " ~ Psalm 31:1~

I'm glad you stopped in.

I was hoping you would see the post. Thank you for the gift of that Scripture passage to treasure. It was a blessing to share it with my family today.

That Scripture passage

is one of God's precious jewels that He gives unto whosoever will come to His table and eat!

Therefore our God, we praise Thee and bless Thy glorious name!

Happy Thanksgiving bear and to all.

Yes, so much to be thankful for!

I've been to the grocery store twice today. We appreciate you retailers who are willing to work today. The gal that checked me out was so sweet Said she volunteered to work for the extra $ and then found out the people that took the day off got holiday pay. She was still all smiles.

Hi Legalize!

I love feeding pigeons! What did you feed them?

Have you ever fed sea gulls?

It is hard to think it is warm enough to go shirtless in Canada!

it was 14C today in Toronto

I feed sea gulls as well.

What I feed pigeons with.
Mostly just bread.
Rice...
When they are hungry in the middle of winter they will eat anything.

God bless my friend.

57.2 degree Fahrenheit

that is too cold. You need a coat...of course I am a mother!

Do the gulls eat out of your hands? I like to draw them in to eat ot of my hands.

Have you ever feed water turtles? When we lived in Texas there was a pond at the community college that had turtles in it. We used to take dry catfood and toss it in the water and they would come up and eat. I always tease my husband about being a cheap date!

I guess you can see...I like to feed animals.

I am going with my brother-in-law to feed the cows tomorrow.

57F is just perfect temp

Lived in Vancouver BC on the west coast for 17 years.
I Love mild temps.

At times birds do eat from my hands once they get to know me.
But most city birds are scared.

Never fed water turtles.
Your husband is a lucky guy.

Feeding Turtles

Fresh water turtles, that is... their little heads pop up out of the water maybe halfway across the pond after you toss some catfood in. Next think you know they pop up within feeding distance. Some of them will even come close to the bank to eat. I hope you get the chance some day. Turtles have lots of character...at least I think so :)

Chilling with my husband

and kids. Just finished our dinner...listening to some classical tunes and sipping the rest of my wine.

and chillin with family! yes :)

The chickens have enjoyed their feast of grapes

(((((((((((bear))))))))))

Have a most blessed holiday with your family.

I must know

Did you hand-feed the grapes, or were they in a dish? Did they run around the yard like they had a prize or did they gobble them in one bite?

It's one of our special moments of the day

Especially having a rooster.. the birds are very sensitive. They communicate with their eyes. You can communicate with them that way. The birds form little groups, cliques, and this is part of a evolving pecking order. Grapes, corn, melon are treats, so when it's treat time, the rooster will let me know.. he'll crow and peck the ground in such a way.. so I'll toss him a few grapes. He begins making a clucking sound that calls the hens.

The hens run over to him, how close depends on pecking order, though he does have a favorite.. and she's not the one with his three new chicks.. they gets their grapes tossed west, the red hens, north, the bardrocks, east and the barnfelders and winedots, south, and then they all rotate in a circle where everyone gets to try everyone's else's grapes. Maybe chickens think the other chickens got better grapes then they did.

What a happy picture!

I remember having a couple old straw bales in my chicken yard. When I tore them up the mice ran. Well, that ain't as picturesque grapes, but the chickens thought they really had a prize. They’d run around the yard and cluck and make a big show of their mouse before gobbling it up. It was quite a show. I never knew chickens ate mice. I didn’t know they eat grapes either! Sounds like a fun daily routine at the Grange!

Which came first?

The chicken or the human? Me thinks the chicken. Blessings!

Me thinks you are right!
