Media totally ignoring Ron Paul

0 votes

Is anyone else as FURIOUS as I am about this? This morning on fox news they said that if Thompson can win SC and Guilliani can win FL then everyone would have a win going into Super Tuesday. Did they forget about Ron Paul. There is a blatant media blackout on all stations. I am getting so disgusted. How can we ban together in large numbers and do something about this? We can't get our voice heard because they won't mention anything on the television. We need to call and email those bastards on all of the TV news channels and demand some coverage.

Sorry, but....

It's what happens when you finish 4th or 5th in three primaries in a row. They only have so much time to cover both Republicans and Democrats, especially when both races are close. Legitimacy, perceived or real, makes stories. "What have you done for me lately?" - so far, not much compared to the others in both races.

"Luctor et Emergo" - Struggle and Emerge

mostly agree with you. Capturing larger percentages

and by that I mean double digit would obviate any bias they have toward ignoring Dr. Paul.

There is, though, some clear and unfair manipulation of data against Paul. They will leave Paul's name off a chart here or there while including others who finished below him. There have been numerous reports of MSM showing delegate counts minus Dr. Paul but including Duncan Hunter. I cannot find a way to define that as accidental, especially with the understanding that Paul supporters have likely been emailing the heck out of them on that (MSNBC for one).

I really do believe that many in the MSM would just like Paul to go away. I imagine quite of few of them actually cannot grasp the issues he's talking about. He falls outside of the parameters they're used to dealing with. They know how to report catspats between Obama and Hillary and that the Democrats want universal healthcare and the Republicans want to lower taxes. That's about as far as their minds can take them.

Paul and his intellectual arguments simply make them work too hard. Best to hope he just disappears.

Someone needs to document...

and publish these blatant attempts to blackout Dr. Paul and his message. Years from now, we will all look back in amazement at what all WAS accomplished in spite of this censorship. I dare say that there has NEVER been this much of a bias against a mainstream candidate for president in history and I hope someone is documenting this for future use.

MSNBC .....

the only reference to Ron Paul in this on line poll is in the vote on whether or not he should get out so that it can become a 3 man race:

this just makes me more determined...

Lets be our own media

I just secured www.ronontheradio.com ( Ron on the radio ) domain name. I also have a expert on radio time getting a estimate on small radio stations in various markets. My thoughts are we could have Dr. Paul spend a Hour Saturday mornings on the air speaking and talking calls if he would agree. As for the website, we need a webmaster to use this domain and make a place to at least discuse this. After we get the costs and expenses we pitch the official RP people if we get a green light , I see the site as a secure donation station as well as a schedule of broadcasts, use a real CPA that handles "all" the money so no funny biz and we go on from there.

THIS IS WHY WE

Need to buy our own tv channel. Not right now but in the long run. It will be the only way to seriously reach the masses. People belive what they are fed on that thing. It is what the globilist are using now and we need to band together ala murdoch style and start buying real media. People are ignorant and a person trying to talk to another on the street or grocery etc, Is not going to make someone change thier mind. We need our own propaganda. The american revoloution started with propaganda through the papers. Now we have tv and we need to use it. By having a permanent outlet to expose what is really going on 24 7. I know I know the internet is the new media but it does not have the credibility that TV has not to mention the audience. Who ever controls the propaganda controls the minds of the people by and large. So we need to start infiltrating the control mechanisms, the biggest being telivison. It will be exspensive and hard i know bla bla bla. But we have a huge dedicated base of intelegent, talented and in some cases rich PATRIOTS that actually care about this country. Just look at the vote totals so far these are people that are awake, what 80,000 + so far probably a million before the primarys are over. Don't tell me this is unatainable! No it is not the majorty yet but it is a tireless minority just what we need right. We just need to get organized and start using the tools of control to spread our message and it will take hold no doubt. It would be the most worthwile project we could imbrace more so than having RP as president! Hell RP could be the editor and chief he is our leader we can all agree on that and that is all we need is someone we all trust with our investment. 1 Million supporters at $100 dollars thats 100 mill enough to get our foot in the door of our propaganda machine. We need the hearts and minds people, and The tube is the most effective and PROVEN way to acheive this. The powers that be know this and we need to use thier techniques aginst them know thy enemy.

Yes indeed

they are totally ignoring Ron Paul, so much so, MSNBC just put a screen up showing the republican delegate count. The only person not shown on the screen was RON PAUL, bastards actually put up Duncan Hunter and his one delegate vote.

Conspiracy?

You best believe it.

New York Times

It truly is unbelievable how biased the media is. Take a look at this link:

//politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/votes/index.html#1

So TAKE ACTION instead... start innoculating people.

So TAKE ACTION take your browser over to ManOfCommonSense.com then download the PDF for your state... print a bunch (cheap 1-sided or 2 sided on plain paper... photocopy 'em!) for yourself and fellow supporters...

INNOCULATE THEM.

And then start getting them into people hands -- in their homes, and in their workplace lunchrooms, ...at the mall, and in the stall, ...anywhere, everywhere that the people live.

MOTIVATE THEM.

Bulletin boards at grocery stores... stick one up if you're able (cost each is probable a nickel and if you have the file or keep just ONE copy you can always make more!) And REMEMBER...

"I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid. You're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you, a world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries, a world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you."

positive from local news

politepaulite

Our newspaper in Lake Charles, La. also ran standard AP press coverage without Paul. However we contacted the editor and said we were aware that Murdock and Fox did not discuss Ron Paul. But since our newspaper was locally owned, we held them to a higher standard. He said he assumed that AP was not biased.. So they are running their own piece about ALL running for president on Sunday. He thanked me for bringing it to their attention. PLEASE POLITELY contact your local news and explain that you hold them to a higher standard

Good idea

The shoddy journalism is absolutely pervasive in this one-size fits all news age.

Plan of Attack

Our plan of attack needs to change. All along we thought that getting in the top tier in fund raising would do the trick. Nope! Then, we thought showing up above the projected 5% polling would do it, or beating some of the so-called front-runners. Nope! The "first they ignore you, then they fight you, then you win" has instead gone back to the ignore stage.

What we need to do is go out and recruit more voters by pointing out the blatant ignoring of Ron Paul. Do this by pointing out the fundraising, the vote totals, everything else that points to success and then point to the complete blackout of media coverage. Tell people there is no reason the media should be ignoring or downplaying his candidacy unless there is some reason they fear that he could win. It would be different it were attacks or slight mention, but it is down to NOTHING. Not even a negative mention.

Believe it or not, the people I talk to think the media has too much control and power. When they see evidence, they are more likely to explore the Ron Paul idea.

Bottom line is, nobody is going to tell the people about Ron Paul unless WE do it. Waving signs and buying ads isn't going to get it done either. We need one on one discussion with people. Just get out and approach total strangers. Other customers in line at convenience stores, bank, your server at a restaurant, etc. Everybody will find a way to strike up a conversation. "How are you today?" "I'd be better if the economy wasn't in the tank" Things like that.

It's up to US - WE THE PEOPLE now! Go get 'em guys. Super Tuesday awaits.

How come so many uncommitted votes!???

Why would anybody go to vote uncommited??? Im not talking democrat here but republican: 17 000 uncommited votes! This election is rigged!

I can see this making sense

If its sorta a twist on voting for NOTA, which a lot of people often wish they could do. In this case - I think - if uncommitted wins, then the delegates that would go to the convention could vote for whoever?

I think they are electing

delegates that are "uncommited" ie they can vote for whomever whenever the Mich Reps. come together

h-daddy

THats wierd..

and that was for republican too? why would you go out to vote if you are uncommited anywaz that makes NO sense... and 17,000 wow this is like being in one of those movies you just cringe at like " Pacific Heights "
urrrrrgh...

You have a point. Why go to

You have a point. Why go to the grocery store if you are not hungry and buy food that you don't care to eat.

I'm used to...

I don't care about the old media anymore. We have to win without them!

Brilliant article that explains why we love Dr. Paul:
http://lewrockwell.com/orig12/farber-r1.1.1.html

Why are you watching FOX news

Why? I thought we agreed to block them and not watch them. Of course, they aren't going to do him any favors. We are done with them!

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

I like to see what all the

I like to see what all the news stations are saying. Fox news is the most biased and I hate that channel more than any of the others, but I still like to see what they will do next. The other channels including CNN and MSNBC all avoided Ron Paul today as well. They even talked about Fred Thompson maybe winning SC and he has been coming in last in most of the primaries.

Huckabee has Chuck Norris. Maybe Ron can get Hannah Montana

Maybe people would pay attention to us then. Said to say but that is what it will probably take to get the American TV generation to listen to his message. Or appear on American Idol.

IT IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!

RP solid 4th---doesn't matter about media---all get busy!!

Total Vote Count -- Combined IA, NH, and MI Results

Posted by Nick Bradley at January 16, 2008 08:08 AM

Here are the combined vote totals for IA, NH, and MI:

Romney - 443,139 Total Votes – 36.89%
McCain - 361,546 Total Votes – 30.10%
Huckabee - 207,308 Total Votes – 17.26%
Paul - 84,554 Total Votes – 7.04%
Giuliani - 50,925 Total Votes – 4.24%
Thompson - 49,198 Total Votes - 4.10%
Hunter - 4,567 Total Votes - 0.38%

Paul is in a solid fourth, increased his percentage lead over Giuliani by 300% in Michigan, and should stay in fourth through SC and NV, where Thompson and Giuliani will close the gap in each state. In other news, the latest CNN/Politico/LA Times California poll has Paul at 8%, with no candidate garnering more than 20% in the poll. The poll had a huge margin of error (6%), which makes Paul and four other candidates technically tied in the Golden State.

Buy cable tv time

Buying cable TV time is necessary because most people need to see Dr. Paul's famous clips in order to warm up to him. Leafleting is not enough. Bridges TV will be having a Ron Paul special coming up. Anyone who has a good Ron Paul DVD should call up their local cable station and find out what it would take to get them to air it.

I just saw a promo for the next Republican Debate on MSNBC Jan 24th in Boca Raton. They showed a group photo of the candidates faces (all 5 of them). They did not show Ron Paul in with the others. Does anyone know if Ron Paul is excluded from that debate?

Except for Wolf Blitzer and Jack Cafferty

I think he has a sincere warm heart for RP. So does Cafferty. That's about it, I think!
