BUMP!!!
BUMP
Products and foods that are Non-GMO.
http://www.nongmoproject.org/
wow
isn't it funny how they probably think their crap works
look how informed every commenter here is on this issue
granted many will fall into the trap,,,,,, but i don't think they give credit to people catching on and questioning things and researching issues important to their families and kids etc
i'm addicted to msnbc just to see the mindless drivel they put out and watch the otherside and see how brazen or pathetic the crap they expect people to just willy nilly believe and proceed with
as all media ratings frop it shows it's just not working like it used to
i've seen many condemning Oz for going all holistic and new age after being pro science, evidence based
and now here we have a 180 woth that otherside bashing him,,,, and i wonder if he was told to walk it back to the middle a bit or else,,, tv show goes bye bye
Thanks my friend

some truth, some bs
one point i believe and accept
food immediately frozen,,, is as NUTRITIOUS as fresh----agreed----a bag of frozen cranberries or strawberries
the problem is what is overlooked----- are there additives,,,, and is it canned with bpa
no one mentioned this,,,, or organic is better as far as pesticides
also----many fresh fruits are inferior,,,, as they are picked b4 "ripening on the vine" since it has to travel for possible weeks to it's destination,,,,, many processes get cut short and when ripening sugars are formed sweetened,,,, explaining why fruit isn't as good or sweet as we may remember
nothing compares to a fresh ripe peach from 2 miles away--mmmmm--donuts!!!!!!!!!!
this certainly is going to be ongoing saga as big agri will have to wage a long--hardfought battle to brainwash people into cheap mass produced crap food
i believe again the internet is winning and gov't and corporations will see it as evil and clamp down where possible
the internet is a trove of truth exposing gov't and health-food truth and thought-theory type stuff,,,,, it is re-informing the uninformed,,, which was our job according to the founders,,,, an informed people will hold those accountable,,we failed for the last 80 years or more
i saw this first on morning joe----with dr jeffrey sachs---the head honcho of sustainablesomething at columbia univ,,,,,, he just sat there and agreed ,,, never batting an eye,,,, and even said organics can't feed the world,,,,,,,i wanted to reach thru my tv and strangle him as i recounted ten facts of how he's wrong and refuted his b.s. talking points,,,,, maddening i tell yah!!!!!!!!!!!
Canned food is just as nutritious as organic?
Outrageous! Let's talk to this homeopathic practitioner about why they're wrong.
Really? Homeopathy is an even bigger scam than canned-food-apologist Dr. Oz. Even though Bell isn't talking about homeopathy here and I agree with almost all of what he says, a huge number of people are going to tune out at the mention of homeopathy.
I am disappointed. Jerry could have easily gotten someone more credible on the show, like virtually anyone from the paleo movement. Heck, even a hardcore vegetarian could tell you the difference between canned and organic. At least they can back up their occupations with real science.
Those people who would tune out because of homeopathy
have the same narrow minded attention span as those who tuned out Ron Paul because they didn't agree with his foreign policy or his opinion on drugs. RSB is a leading authority on Health Freedom and an ally to the Liberty movement. If someone tunes him out over something as petty as not agreeing with homeopathy then they can go listen to one of the neocon shows that caters to people who can't handle people or topics they don't agree with.
Sheesh....
Homeopathy
... is selling water and placebos to people and telling them that it's medicine. I call that fraud. I don't agree with fraud and neither should you, nor those who value liberty and non-aggression.
That's Not What I Heard
These guys here were quoting Dr Oz. HE was the one that said canned is as good as organic. Listen again.
skippy
Ummm
Yesh, they were quoting Dr. Oz and his crazy canned food comments. Who else did you think I was referring to? Did you even read my comment?
There are thousands of canned organic foods
From organic soup to organic nuts. Many folks can their own organically grown produce and products.
Are you 100% can free? No coffee? No bottled water?
STAND WITH RAND 2016
Pretty sure you can find flash-frozen organic too
But that's not the point of the video. The implication is that Dr. Oz was comparing non-organic canned, and non-organic flash-frozen, with fresh organic.
I buy my coffee in a bag, and drink water from the tap. Sometimes I buy corned beef in a can, though :) Otherwise I buy fresh, but usually not organic, because of the price.
Frozen is regulated as fresh
About 5 years ago I worked as a kitchen angel at "Living Light Culinary Accademy" a raw food facility. There was a "rawsome Foods Event", had many speakers and panels. At one of them I asked about frozen foods being regulated as fresh foods, and no one had a problem, matter of fact, freezing food is a process.. like passing frozen banana's through a champion juicer to get banana ice creme.
As for cooked foods, some plants cook the foods in the cans as part of the process, so if these were organix chili, for example, it would be more nutritious in that the product never saw much oxygen to depleat the nutrients, eh?

Get started NOW - do not wait until it is too late. Buy your heirloom seed - in bulk. I like Horizon Herbs and seedstrust.
They WANT to contaminate all life on this planet, and then sue you for being contaminated.
PLEASE - you are the intelligensia, be prepared to replant Eden. If anyone would like some tips on building a quick, cheap biodome let me know.
Listen to this audio. I would like to say he is just fear mongering, but he is telling you the truth. It is now a mental illness to care about what you put in your mouth.

Actually
They want you to think that you can sustain without having to go to a grocery store ever again. You and your neighbors can grow your own food and sustain yourselves and live happier ever after.
If we can break this global corporate agricultural system that sustains more people than kills them, as they are frequntly charged, then people can blame each other when pestilance destroys the crops, grocers fail, and people are staving?
STAND WITH RAND 2016
Ahhh, a sane comment.
As a farmer I can tell you that producing organic crops everywhere will make the world starve. Simply put, organics are a luxury, and not necessarily healthier; caterpillars release a toxin on corn that produces cancer. Bt Corn prevents this caterpillar. Rice enriched with vitamins and minerals also helps to save more people than just simple rice. Personally I like my pasture fed cattle, free range chicken and eggs, vegetables from my neighbors garden (even though he does use some pesticides, but appropriately).
The one comment on the video I thought good is about cross pollination. That clearly was a failure on the court system allowing "pollution" onto someone elses property. Monsanto should just make a non pollinating variety, or one that can't pollinate other non-gmo corn. But as for soybeans, they don't cross pollinate and thus you can have them side by side, as I do on my farm.
There is a lot of disinformation out there, but by both sides. So everyone should really look at the science and not what some idiot is saying.
Granger, maybe you should take some time off.
My neighbors and I can grow our own food. No one is promoting any fantasy life here, it is hard work and planned poverty to keep them from taxing us to death. But we can grow our own food in a very controlled environment, many of us are doing it already. While I cannot grow coffee in my location, I can (and do) have a store of green (organic) beans - they keep forever. I also have some chocolate, it keeps forever too. I can't grow sugar, but I can harvest honey or trade with local beekeepers. There really are local solutions to nearly every problem and many of us are working those solutions. Your GOP membership seems to be pulling you to do the dark side. You really think Monsanto is feeding more people than it is killing? Ask the farmers in India about that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH9nOWnp5G0
Yes I really think Monsanto feeds more than it kills
All I have to do is look at the US military, any grocery store. I don't have to ask anyone in India.
My neighbors trade with me all the time since I have a 250 gl fish tank, pastured chickens, small garden, and new orchard, where they have more deveopled orchards. I still see them at the grocery store. We even grow an take down trees.. got my wood stove going now.
It is good work, but I still depend on modern technology, electricty, gas.. medicine, feed...
Joining the GOP has me asking a lot of guestions. There are local solutions, are their choices? Planned poverty?
Planned poverty? If I was planning on poverty I would definately take time off. I'm not planning poverty. I'm planning to thrive.

How Do We Know
that even the honey isn't contaminated with GMO pollen? That worries me big time.
skippy
answer
bee's don't travel further than ,,,i think 2 miles,,,,,seems disputable
so a farmer puts the hive in the middle of his 300 non gmo acres,,, and can say it's organic
but i agree no way to prove it and we know money is the root of all evil,, some will just claim organic to get the premium
ps,,,, most honey at supermarkets aren't even honey because they do so much dammage filtering it,,, google it
good article about distances and pesticide kills, pollination etc
