He's been advocating for personal freedom and personal responsibility for a LONG time. And has the reputation to prove it.

I met him for the first time at the Iowa Straw poll in August 2007 having never heard about him before our introduction.

The guy KNOWS from what he speaks and I try to listen to his show every day.
