South California secession rally

The State of South California has been proposed by Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone, with 13 counties seceding from California to form America's 51st state.

The first public South California secession rally will be held on December 1, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in Temecula.

Why Should South California secede from the State of California?

According to Supervisor Stone and supporters, secession would allow officials in the new conservative-dominant state to concentrate on securing borders, balancing budgets, improving schools and creating a robust economy.

"Our taxes are too high, our schools don't educate our children well enough, unions and other special interests have more clout in the Legislature than the general public. It has to change," Supervisor Stone declared.

The State of South California would start at the Mexican border, continue up through the desert, over the Sierras and into the San Joaquin Valley.

Stone proposed that Riverside, Imperial, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, Kings, Kern, Fresno, Tulare, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa and Mono counties should unite to form the new state.

I'm sure the North will want to be their own state

CA is big enough to split into 3.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
James Madison

It's already three

Baja, the Mexican States (or are they Territories?), and (Alta) itself in the American Union.

"Orange California" has merit, as has the extreme north "Jefferson" group with their eyes also on southern Oregon.

The Union may go any second now, but the States will likely remain strong. Nevertheless, if I live another fifty years or so I shouldn't be surprised to see several Californias, or even a Greater Dominion of Virginia. I fear there will also be violence involved, but I am confident that the maps WILL CHANGE.

For another spin on the Californias, see my fun novel plugged below and spend some time in The Confederated Republics of California.
