California Man Jailed Four Days For Recording Cops (Video)

By Carlos Miller

A California man was jailed for four days for attempting to record police officers on a public street.

Daniel J. Saulmon was charged with resisting, delaying and obstructing an officer but the video shows he was standing well out the way of a traffic stop and was only arrested when he failed to produce identification to an approaching officer.

And there is no law in California that requires citizens to produce identification. And even if there was, it would require the officer to have a reasonable suspicion that he was committing a crime.

i'm surprised at just how lawless the cops in cali are in regards to filing false charges. sometimes the da's even prosecute things that aren't even illegal in cali like medical marijuana cases. people are strange.

DA's really scare me

They're the ones that'll take a vague citation and push it into every charge they can think of and then some. The cops just have quotas and power rushes to tempt them to corruption and then when they lie they have to count on it not being provable or it makes it EASIER for the charged person to fight. The DA's have so much more reason to be corrupt, connection into all the parts of the system that drain money out of people and when they lie, they can do so blatantly. More charges make it harder to fight back, regardless of how silly they are because it means the charged is less likely to be able to afford a fight.

Right on my friend

If Martial Law happens in the state of California I would avoid places like LA Oakland and San Diego -- many bad cops.
