I heard 70% Of U.S. Population Infected With HPV?

***NOTE: I Do Not Have This, But I Have Unknowingly Discovered A Pandora's Box***

Ron Paul Revolution: *WARNING* 70% Of U.S. Population Infected With HPV? Please do your own research as I am not 100% sure of the exact percentage as of yet, but the ratio seems to be immensely high.

http://www.kingcounty.gov/healthservices/health/communicable...

Hello, everyone.

I am horrified.

Yesterday I saw a Medical Booklet from a loved friend. It was for a medical appointment / examination. To test for HPV.

I begun to research HPV.

I am a young adult and musician and women are always around, but I have always refused "one-night-stands". I love and respect myself ♥

For me, there cannot be sex without True Love.

I begun to research HPV and to my astonishment:

70% of The United States Population Infected with HPV? Dear God!

***Not Sure About That Ratio, But What Is Clear To Me Is That It Is A High Ratio***

Finding a love partner just got more difficult.

Generally a woman is attracted to a guy who makes his "move".

Now you can't do that. Now you have to get to know each other over a long period of time, fall in love, have a serious talk, make sure you are 100% committed to each other and then - and only then - can you be intimate.

I have always required a long courtship before going further.

I have always been that way and I thank God, my Grandmother and parents for having raised me with a solid moral foundation.

This is so frightening.

I don't like the "Club" crowd, but as a musician I have to be around those people. My friend and I NEVER take a girl home. We know that if they offer themselves so easily, they have done so many times.

I am so glad to have always been so careful. We live in a society that promotes sex as if it was a game or a sport. It is not.

The risks are enormous.

Research HPV and warn your loved ones.

All my love as always. Be careful out there.

My best understanding

Take this more as a gauge of what's possible to figure out when trying to dig past the first layer of fear-mongering women are told than me having figured this out altogether. And anyone feel free to post their counter-understanding.

Yes, HPV is super-common and getting it is believed to be necessary to later develop almost all cervical cancers. It's so common that you can still get it from contact with your environment without being promiscuous, but young, promiscuous people are more likely to be coming into contact with it for the first time than other populations so this is why they are targeted for extra pap testing, especially in populations doctors believe to be extra promiscuous.

Some HPV types alter cells and those altered cells are what later can develop into cervical cancer. The frequent pap testing for promiscuous individuals or ones with a promiscuous partner is, in part, an attempt to catch an active infection so which cells are altered can be detected and removed.

Most infections come and go without anyone ever knowing. Pap tests can still sometimes detect the presence of remaining altered cells, but it's unreliable so women are frequently tested long after they've entered a monogamous relationship. The chances of catching altered cells isn't even that good so the need for such frequent pap testing and the fear it causes in women who get an abnormal result is questionable.

Removal of altered cells is still attempted, but if they really tried to remove any chance of altered cells, they'd be removing every cervix of every woman who shows their immune system has come into contact with HPV. There comes a point when fighting this battle to reduce the percentage of women who develop cervical cancer is overkill.

My impression is that women are intentionally kept in the dark about true risk. Doctors keep women's access to birth control hostage in order to force more pap tests. The confusing information that's out there may be intentionally confusing to create a false suspicion that there is a relationship between the need for pap tests and access to birth control in order for doctors to resist society's need to make birth control available without a prescription.

Many doctors also don't believe women should make their own determination about how frequently they should have pap tests and clearer information would lead to that. Also, doctors don't believe women will be honest about their true risk, that the promiscuous ones would forgo frequent tests to hide their promiscuity and the ones who don't know their partner is promiscuous would be using the wrong information to assess their own risk. This is similar thinking to that behind putting antibiotics in the eyes of all newborns instead of just the ones most likely to have a mother with active gonorrhea. It's taking the factor of who's going to lie about the factors behind their risk out of the equation and just treating everyone as at risk.

I'm very confused about the relationship between promiscuity and risk because of how the majority of women are exposed anyhow and the low chances of catching an active infection, which would have to be a first infection, but as I said above, I think the medical community wants me to be confused. I think the medical community is now swinging the other way by "allowing" us to forgo the belief in the relationship between promiscuity and risk now that their push is to get every girl vaccinated, but I don't think they are quite ready to "let" us know enough to assess our daughters' risks.

---

Basically, it's all very confusing and for the love of Pete, don't pass up on a relationship just because you know someone's been exposed. Knowing for the next person you meet or even yourself is unreliable and what we're talking about here is collective statistics about cervical cancer, an individual's risk is still very low even with a known exposure.

I Believe This Is An Important Message Young People Should Know

I Believe This Is An Important Message Young People Should Know About.

I am a young adult but have not had many girfriends - I have never been promiscuous and have chosen my girlfriends very carefully after long courtships, so the subject of Sexually Transmitted Diseases never really entered my mind all that much.

Unbelievably: My friends always tell me "you know so much about so many things" (I simply love to read) and I did not know about this.

It is also unbelievable that this post has ZERO votes when it is so important.

Some people voted UP and then others voted down! Why?

This is a IMPORTANT.

I am very glad I know and I am very glad my friend knows.

girls have HPV - or so they are teaching that in medical school.

abstinence, works better than a condom!

They that give up liberty for security deserve neither.

Fear Mongering!!! Please do some more reading...

HPV is the virus responsible for warts. If you've ever gotten a wart in your life either on your finger, feet, or other areas, then you've been infected with the Human Papilloma Virus. A healthy immune system can keep it at bay.

Everyone has had a wart at some point in their life. Warts aren't sexually transmitted diseases. They are transmitted by skin to skin contact. Obviously if you have genital warts than those will get transmitted to another person with intimate contact.

If you're immune compromised then warts may spring out spontaneously. 70% of Americans having HPV sounds like a conservative estimate. I figure everyone had HPV at some point.

Don't worry about it.... If the truth be told....

.....if you have a strong immune system, you could have sex with an AIDS victim and not catch AIDS. Same for HIV and HPV.

By the same token if you have one of these STDs you can get RID of it by avoiding what weakened your immune system to the point where it couldn't fight off these diseases by avoiding eating what weakens everyone's immune systems: chemicals; GMOs; Sugar; Refined Wheat and Dairy (that means yogurt too) and meat, fish, poultry except for a small amount.

For the fast track to elimination of disease eat only RAW water rich (celery and cucumbers) organic and mostly dark leafy greens like Kale and Collard Greens; red and orange veggies like beets and carrots and tart fruits like Granny Smith apples and fresh berries.
Juicing these is easiest and best especially the leafy greens because the juicer pre- digests the food for you so you can absorb more of the nutrients and get stronger quicker.

If you don't have a good auger style juicer that can handle greens
then steaming the veggies is a good option. Cooked Whole Grains are good too like Quinoa, Amaranth, Millet, Long Grain Brown Rice.

Following a Macrobiotics diet is a great way to excellent health and elimination of disease. I hope this helps. Good Luck and Don't Worry. Nature (natural medicine) has all the answers.

Don't panic

Lifetime prevalence for the virus might be 75-90%, but most of the people who contract it have the infection come and go without ever noticing. The point prevalence (how many people are infected at any given point in time) is much lower. Also, the risk varies with demographic factors, particularly age. Likelihood of HPV infection appears to increase each year until age 24, and decrease therafter.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17327523

HPV appears to be a necessary but not sufficient cause of cervical cancer; almost 100% of women who acquire cervical cancer are HPV positive.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17938014

However, there are two viruses within the HPV family (HPV-16 and HPV-18) that are responsible for 70% of the observed cases of cervical cancer. Another two (HPV-6 and HPV-11) can cause warts. The point prevalence of any of these potentially more harmful subtypes is about 9%.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21791658

But still, most of the people infected with these high-risk types will clear the infection without ever knowing they had it.

Something to keep in mind about this topic is that Merck and co. are looking to make enough people afraid of the HPV monster so that everyone under a certain age has to get vaccinated with Gardasil, regardless of their assessment of the risks and benefits, and regardless of their lifestyle choices.

My Concern Is How "Under The Radar" This Is. Unbelievable.

My Concern Is How "Under The Radar" This Is. Unbelievable.

People need to know, especially young people.

I am a young adult and I had no idea how widespread this is.

I have nothing to worry about. I am either single or monogamous in a committed love-based relationship, but people who think sex is just a game?

I never took sex as a game. Always and Only if I was in love ♥

I am amazed this is not widely known.

This should be on The News.

HPV and cancer

Some of the people posting here have not done enough research on this subject. My personal queries to people I meet tells me very few people care to bring up the subject of STDs and very few people know the risks associated with HPV. Rarely do members of either sex bring it up on dates and those who do have told me stories of receiving confessions from prospective mates who had something they didn’t disclose earlier. A monogamous relationship is a must if you want to avoid risking exposure. I am super vigilant about this subject matter having done my own research.

HPV is linked to over 90% of cervical cancer cases. Besides head and neck cancers, there is now a controversy about whether or not it is involved in certain breast cancers.

Actor Michael Douglas and actress Farrah Fawcett had cancers linked to HPV.

Article states:
“There is increasing evidence that high-risk human papilloma virus (HPV) is involved in cancers in addition to cervical cancer.”
Although the association of human papilloma virus (HPV) with cervical cancer, and head and neck cancers is well established, the involvement of the virus in breast cancer is more controversial.

I have believed for a long time that the 'free and easy' . . .

s#x that is purported by the media industry is just an encouragement to sterilize more and more and more people--

deliberate; I don't doubt that at all--

monogamy is the answer--

no s#x before marriage, s#x only with spouse during marriage--

don't get divorced--

if *you* have to separate, do it legally (abuse, etc.) and do not remarry--

it's the only safe way--

I know that I will offend; I have close friends/family members who have had problems with all three--

--have had premarital s#x
--have had extramarital s#x
--have divorced and remarried

I don't love them less, but I loved my children enough to at least TRY to teach them to take care of themselves in this way--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Exactly!

Funny how this is the view that seems to be demonized now.

If HPV is a virus....

This is proof, Cancer is most likley a virus. Seems they admitted it on TV by way of commercials to sell the Vaccine. Oops! The cat is out of the bag now! Turmeric taken daily is ones best defense against all Cancers. Check out the book "Dr. Mary's monkey" .

Viruses

can penetrate human DNA and attach (insert) themselves in. That may trigger cancer years later if immune system is compromized. Cancer is a mutated cell that, instead of obeying the system, reproduces unresposibly.

HPV? Phooey! Look what the media has hidden for decades

As one U.S. surgeon memorably put it, "The HIV virus can progress through a condom resembling a bullet through a tennis web

Electron microscopy reveals the HIV virus to be around O.1 microns within size (a micron is a millionth of a metre). It is 60 times smaller than a syphilis bacterium, and 450 times smaller than a single human sperm.

Roland's rag shows electron microscopy photos of untaught latex. You can see the unconscious holes, or intrinsic flaws. The "inherent defect contained by inbred rubber breadth between 5 and 70 microns.

And it's not as if government don't know. A study by Dr. R.F. Carey of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control reports that "ooze of HIV-sized particle through latex condoms be detectable for as various as 29 of 89 condoms tested." These be brand clean, pre-approved condoms. But Roland
say a closer reading of Carey's notes in truth yield a 78% HIV-leakage rate, and concludes: "That the CDC would promote condoms base on [this] study...suggests its agenda is concerned next to something save for public strength and welfare." The federal government's standard test, he add,
"cannot detect flaws even 70 times larger than the AIDS virus." Such test are "blind to ooze volumes smaller number tha one microliter - on the other hand this number of fluid from an AIDS-infected individual have be found to contain as copious as 100,000 HIV particle."

Your a guy, it doesn't affect

Your a guy, it doesn't affect you, basically makes it simplar for women to get ovarian cancer, i know a couple guys who have it and absolutely nothing is wrong with them, You could end up passing up the love of your life all because of a mistake made in their past.

Probably more like 90%

HPV is very common. If have or have had a wart, anywhere, then you have HPV. There are many, many, many strains of HPV. As for the sexual kind, good luck, abstinence is really your only protection. Condoms, last I know, don't cover the testicles or the pubic region in general.

I believe your best protection is a healthy immune system. Don't lose sleep over this.

I can tell you

Rarely does anyone get symptoms, and if you do, it's recently been discovered that your good old immune system conquers it after a couple years or so.

Not saying you shouldn't be careful, but don't let this one scare you so much.

Just be safe in your habits
