Rand as an insider (this is

Rand as an insider (this is not a slam) confirms the GOP push to pander for Hispanic votes. This is not to say Rand is a panderer, but it illustrates the GOP push for the "new middle" and a continued plan to abandon Constitutional principles over party growth... to be expected, really.

Reminds me of the picture of a clearly Caucasian guy at a Romney rally holding up the "Hispanics for Romney" sign. Eye-rollingly awful.

I have more respect for Rand for saying what he says here than the entire GOP.

Rand is using

language that the sheep can understand. Grow the party, the transformation will be natural, just think, how many of us were neocons before Ron Paul?

It angers me that these criminals in Washington, DC

think that people should be forced to support this worthless, piece of shit government that rules and plunders our lives, destroys our economy, and kills countless people in immoral wars.

The Founding Fathers had a better idea with the Articles of Confederation where the central government couldn't tax the people, and had to rely on contributions from the States. Too bad it was illegally trashed and replaced with the Constitution that empowered the federal government and was impotent to ward off the violations of those who would rule us and turn that government into a system of plunder and control for the benefit of the few at the expense of the many; a system of aristocracy and serf might describe it well.

Now the aristocracy wants more of our wealth to carry out their insanity and to keep the shell game going for a few more years before Madame Guillotine arises from her long slumber.

Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.

the Articles of Confederation were neither trashed NOR replaced

They are a part of the 4 Organic Laws of the united States and still in effect today.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.
James Madison

All that may be technically correct,

but what good does it do when people show up at your door with guns and handcuffs and drag you away to be processed by their judges and a juries of idiots under their laws, or even worse, just show up and shoot you.

I think all those words written long ago, and regarded today as just words on pieces of paper, are mostly meaningless to anyone run down by the freight train of tyranny. What judge or jury says no?

Liberty isn't given to us; it is taken by us, and if not, we will not have it.

Thanks for posting!

I figure we'll get another bill like Obamacare--we won't know what is in it till it passes lol

Rand too different than Ron

Economy grew after Bush tax cuts? Wouldn't Ron say there was a bubble created by the Federarl Reserve?

Rand talks about growing the Republican Party. Ron talks about Liberty.

Good points

I don't know why you got downvoted.

According to Granger

According to Granger, and I hope that she is right, Ron Paul republicans are, or should be, growing the party. Rand may be on a right track.

If you are serious about puting a Liberty candidate in the WH, we best do what we can now to take the gop. 3rd party is and will be moot for the foreseeable future.

I wouldn't say

the focus should be growing the Republican Party. The focus should be transforming it (away from neo-cons, and seriously toward liberty). That could grow it as a side effect, though.

That's basically

That's basically what I meant. To grow it would entail new members. Hopefully those new members will be Liberty-minded.

'Transform'. I really haven't thought of using that term, but yes, I like that :-)

rp, are you trying to play word games with me? lol
