George Lucas, Star Wars, and False Flag Terrorism
Submitted by SuburbiaStopPushing on Thu, 11/29/2012 - 05:31Short, very interesting documentary on George Lucas' planning of Star Wars to reflect political realities of America, all the way back in the early 70s. The analysis focuses mainly on the prequel movies, which aren't anyone's favorite, but it's a pertinent take on a classic franchise. Worth watching for any fan of liberty, Star Wars, or all of the above!
"The Empire is like America ten years from now, after Nixonian gangsters assassinated the Emperor and were elevated to power in a rigged election; created civil disorder by instigating race riots, aiding rebel groups, and allowing the crime rate to rise to the point where a 'total control' police state was welcomed by the people. Then the people were exploited with high taxes, utility, and transport costs. Gangsters, a cartel made up of power companies, transport companies & crime organizations. Other companies had to pay bribes to stay in business."

"So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause."
No. In America, liberty dies to republican chants of "USA, USA, USA," like in Tampa as Ron Paul delegates walked out.

Don't Forget About The Guy In Charge Of Star Wars
I don't mean the movie Star Wars. I'm referring to the program that was designed to shoot down enemy nukes from outer space. This was a pretty big deal during the cold war and the guy in charge of that program under both President's Nixon and Ford was named Robert Bowman.
He also has some interesting things to say about 9/11...

Lucas has occasionally made statements that sound very Libertarian, but I do not know his real political views. I think he supported Obama.

yes!
As movies the prequels sucked, but the storyline was still great. Lucas has always been an amazing story teller. "So this is how democrocy dies, with thunderous applause " most people don't re!alize that was suppose to be one of the most dramatic moments in the whole series. A testament to lucas' great story telling but god awful directing
Yeah
the dialogue was ESPECIALLY poor--and distractingly so.
Too bad.

it is me, or was the Padme actress horrible?
I felt like her acting was so bad it ruined the movie.
Natalie Portman is a very
Natalie Portman is a very good actress. One thing you must keep in mind with the Star Wars movies... Lucas made them as a tribute to the horribly acted Buck Rogers serials of his youth and he specifically chose to recreate the stilted acting and dialogue of the Buck Rogers series with his scripts. No lie. If you don't believe it, just look at the wonderful, naturalistic acting and dialogue of American Graffiti in comparison.
