Rand Paul declares victory on NDAA Amendment Fight and our rights to trial by jury!

Senator Rand Paul has declared victory in his fight to take back our right to trial by jury.

This evening, the U.S. Senate voted on Amendment No. 3018 to the National Defense Authorization Act sponsored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah), and co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul, which protects the rights prescribed to Americans in the Sixth Amendment of the Constitution with regard to indefinite detention and the right to a trial by jury...

Brother Winston Smith

The r3VOLution is NOT republiCAN.

Justin Amash just stated on his facebook

The Feinstein amendment to the 2013 NDAA does NOT protect you from indefinite detention without charge or trial. In fact, it explicitly permits such detention so long as the detention is approved by an Act of Congress . . . such as the 2012 NDAA

Rand is got some splainin to do..

If that's true, then what's the point of a "NO" vote? They

wouldn't need it if the amendment is just circular and doesn't change anything.

The point of the no vote

is just to deceive or they are just as gullible as most American people are when it comes to understanding a legal document...

The heart of the Feinstein amendment:

"An authorization to use military force, a declaration of war, or any similar authority shall not authorize the detention without charge or trial of a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States apprehended in the United States, UNLESS AN ACT OF CONGRESS EXPRESSLY AUTHORIZES SUCH DETENTION."

Well, that Act of Congress is the 2012 NDAA, which renders the rest of the Feinstein amendment meaningless.

Then why did McCain and Graham vote for it?

allegory - ˈalɪg(ə)ri/ - noun - 1. a story, poem, or picture which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

That's the million dollar question.

And now that a California democrat is on the right side on liberty... there should be a LOUD ROARING CALL to "infiltrate" the democrats... right? "Liberty Democrats" they should be called, right? Or... howzabout DemoCANS? "Ron Paul Democrats," right?

And I wonder... of all the republicans who laugh at me for voting third party and who claimed in 2010... that "if we vote in these republicans (like Rubio, Portman who voted no), we can hold their feet to the fire, if they get outta line." I've heard SO MUCH about this technique, I CAN'T WAIT TO ACTUALLY SEE IT! Right? Personally, I don't know what the hell that gibberish means... but I've been told it will be extremely effective. Right? Is it like waterboarding?

is saying this isn't a good thing
