Albany

Been through there before and also had a good experience with the PD there. Vehicle broke down and they offered me a ride while the repairs were being made. I was thankful and offered them a coffee but they politely refused.

I was very, very, surprised for Albany being in the State of New York. lol

Airport fun fact

"Q: Who owns airports?

A: Most U.S. commercial service airports are typically owned by local or state governments, either directly or through an authority (a quasi-governmental body established to operate the airport). While Congress established a "privatization program" in 1997 under which the airport ownership would be transferred to a non-governmental entity, no airports currently participate in this program. However, The Branson Airport (in Missouri) became the first privately financed and operated commercial service airport in the United States when it opened in May, 2009."

The TSA has also been harrassing and threatening activists at Union Station in Chicago lying through their teeth claiming it is private property when in fact it is owned by Amtrak which is a publicly held entity making it public property ... these meglomaniac rectums have been inflicted with god complex and a frightening sense of entitlement as this video and countless others prove ... they even think they can order local police around now!

"rights" of corporations vs. rights of people

"A place of business can remove anybody for any reason"

A place of taxpayer funded, taxpayer insured, and taxpayer underwritten place of "business" can remove taxpayers for any reason".

I would rethink that if I were you.

Wow. I live in the Albany area

... and I just dropped somebody off at the Albany Airport this morning!

Now I'm wondering when all this happened.

Good job on the cop. Proud he's representin' here in Upstate!

This is

How Cops should act. I am proud of that man

Wow the officer was actually doing the job he should be -

protecting our civil rights.

I wish the best for this man! He might just start a trend with that courage and honesty.

Very proud of this officer

so often all the police stories we see are about them abusing their authority and power. Really refreshing to see someone serious about doing the right thing. Very encouraging to know there are good people out there

awsome sheriff no doubt an oathkeeper. I must note the

pamphleteers are playing it pretty fast and loose in referencing infowars as "alternate media". The Genesis Communication Network is owned by the American Broadcasting Company. ABC/Disney all the way to the Red Shield.Do your own research starting w/ Alex Jones (Knights of Malta). I don't remember who said "The best way to control one's opposition is to become them". (as in Democrat/Republican)

Aaron Russo, Nikola Tesla, Ron Paul, I'm jus' sayin'

if the police officer

if the police officer actually knew anything about constitutional rights, he would know that a place of business can remove anyone they want without reason.

Albany County

Airport is owned by Albany County.. Its not "private" per se. There's an "Airport Authority" that oversees its operation... I guess the CEO is the head of this authority.. (strange title for a gov't worker I suppose).
The schmuck PR guy also works for the authority in all likelihood.

I was about to say the same thing...

The stupidity on this site never ceases to amaze me. If it were TSA officers which are wardens of the state had been telling them what to do it would be different. But if the airport is privately owned then they should legally be able to kick out whoever they want.

Well then

You are welcome to never come back and visit this site. Wouldn't want to offend you with our stupidity.

It's Not Privately Owned

It's property of the federal government, and accordingly the officer did the right thing.

well in that case, yes, he

well in that case, yes, he was in the right.

Then his "CEO" title is very misleading...

And should be changed to "airport commissioner" or something.

can't wait to see the memes of Joan the silencer and Dep Lenic!

you know they're on the way :)

What's missed here, I think

is how stunning it should be that a sheriff gets such amazing attention for just doing his job rather than acting like a jack-booted thug.

While I'm very happy this guy did his job, the implication of everyone's reactions is extremely sad for the U.S..

Reminds me of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man...

from the movie Ghostbusters.

Love that guy!

Isn't it amazing how just doing what you're supposed to do as a police officer by protecting people's rights can make you famous nowadays? That should say something about our current police system..

I liked it. I enjoyed seeing

I liked it. I enjoyed seeing a "good cop" video for once. As far as city or county laws requiring forms to be filled out for normal rights in a public place..well that sux. Regardless, the whole thing was handled well, I was glad to watch it and hope that is not the only good law officer left..

"get over it" meaning please ignore it.

Too bad she isn't being honest. This is also how I feel every time I hear Obama use his "move forward" slogan. Politicians are now blatantly asking us to simply and perpetually ignore without question everything they do.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

Nail the CEO on the Contradiction

Filing a simple form = taking out a million dollar insurance policy???

During the confrontation, Lenic told Jessica and Jason that the CEO had a problem with them handing out flyers.

Now he says that they're welcome to distribute the flyers.

They don't even know what they want. I guess it depends on who you are.

No we won't "get over it"

You weaseling heifer!

Albany County Sheriff's Phone: (518) 487-5400 for Stan Lenic

Let the Sheriff's office know that you appreciate their deputy, Sheriff Stan Lenic, taking his oath to defend the U.S. Constitution seriously.

Be brief in your comments - they're getting a lot of calls already.

Letting our peace officers know that we're paying attention can do nothing but help to encourage more correct behavior, and to let the bad cops know that they're being watched.

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

The lady encouraged me to go to facebook and comment.

I did not tell her I don't do tracebook...lol! But if any of you folks do, apparently the Sheriff and the deputy both have pages for comments.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

I got choked up and teary-eyed when giving them...

...positive feedback. Just told them I was overjoyed and grateful for this good deputy's allegiance to the Constitution.

The lady who took the message told me that the Sheriff was like Stan Lenic as well.

She said they had received tons of calls.
