The TSA as we know it is dead - here's why

If you don't believe the TSA is doomed after watching yesterday's House Aviation Subcommittee hearing, then you'll have to at least agree that the agency as we know can't continue to exist as it does.

For starters, TSA Administrator John Pistole refused to testify before the committee on the innocuous subject of "common sense" improvements to America's airport security, reportedly because the committee has no jurisdiction over his agency. (That's odd - I always thought Congress funded the federal government, but maybe I wasn't paying attention during government class.) One by one, panelists took turns excoriating the agency charged with protecting America's transportation systems. It was plainly clear why Pistole was a no-show, and it had nothing to do with jurisdiction; it would have been an openly hostile crowd.

Charles Edwards, the Department of Homeland Security's acting inspector general, described the TSA as bureaucratic and dysfunctional. Stephen Lord of the Government Accountability Office, suggested the agency was ignoring the thousands of complaints from air travelers. And Kenneth Dunlap, who represented the International Air Transport Association, criticized the current TSA as expensive, inconsistent, and reactive.

Child gropers

This may be a stupid question but have to ask:

Has everyone contacted their representatives lately telling them the TSA is to cease and desist? That this isn't Nazi Germany. If not as a statesman can they, at the very least, think of themselves as a man? A father? Who but the mentally ill would think it's OK to grope anyone's privates, much less a child!
Get on the phone while it's a hot topic!

After 9/11

Ron Paul made a proposal in Congress to stop visas to people from countries that sponsor terrorism (help those who target civilians.)

With no visas to "students", CIA would not be able to play games and Pentagon could abstain from nations building. TSA would not be even needed.

The Soviets had the Motherland

The Nazis had the Fatherland

and we're stuck with the 'Homeland'

I guess Matherland & Fatherland were their old traditional terms back to monarchy. May be USA will follow example of Morsi, in Egypt. Wait, Obama has already an absolute power over life and death of Americans ....

Sorry, but this is just

Sorry, but this is just grandstanding. The TSA will continue to exist. It will continue to use porno scanners and body groping. Will John Pistole be held in contempt of congress for refusing to testify? He should, but he won't.

Congress is just a charade. The executive branch does what the executive branch wants to do.

I have to be 100% on the side of realism here ..

.. and agree.

Abolishing the TSA - or even sufficiently neutering it - is one of the PRIME battlegrounds for Liberty.

Putting air security back in the hands of the airports - even partially - would be a huge victory ...

Which would be totally against the philosophy and agenda of the powers that set it up there for a reason.

We're not there yet. And it's not happening soon. Cause 'They're' not havin' it.

Like our own

supporters, say "Faith Keepers", wont quit big government, trade union membership and all the perks, do not expect that good American citizens, trade union members at TSA, will do. At best, they will keep their dirty gloved fingers off.

Same with trade unions at Boeing and Lockheed Martin (Sure, it is all about 5-6 private banks as Alex Jones would say.)

I can't wait for the time when air traveling becomes a

pleasure, again. Now we fly only when we absolutely have to: we had enough of forced fondling & "peek into the pants" (for a knife in a waistband?) degrading treatment by TSA.

We Need Liberty Champions Like Rand Paul...

...to use the voice he has to expose this stuff and make sure the American people understand it. Rand Paul 2016!

We need to get an early start on 2016: Support Rand PAC 2016

Dr. Paul had this in his Restore America Plan

Yet another example of Dr. Paul being right. TSA = waste of our time and money.

I hope Rand leads the way in taking out the TSA. Maybe then, people will see that he's still walking the liberty line.

Lima-1, out.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Good News

cannot travel fast enough.

Homeland Security should follow the TSA into oblivion! Homeland security is what the FBI is for.

You can't fool all the fools all the time!

and a bunch of other agencies should go with them.
