Mark Twain (1835 - ...) Birthday is today. Again, sorry I missed my own funeral.

I have been extraordinarily busy today. I have finished cleaning out my basement. My shed. I have yet to figure out what I found. Neighbors tell me I should donate to charity. I figure a Dollar is a Dollar.

I have a few things for the 1800s. Old ranch leaded wing windows. Rocking chair. Some old hand craft tools. A few kid dolls from around 1930s. Hope (not old at all) full of hand knits.

Piles of... Let me say, an optimist would help me look for the pony.

No new fanged things.

What would you do if you were me?

A most wonderful birthday to you, Mark Twain. May you never lose your wit. :)

I'd Test the Free Market

eBay is excellent for testing out the market for things. Check completed listings to see what the parameters are. Sell what makes sense.

As for donating to charity: spending the money locally should make even the liberals happy. It has the added benefit of contributing to a successful business that can then continue to serve and employ others for years to come.

I don't suppose your fence needs whitewashing? Even if it were painted for free, you'd still need to buy the whitewash and brushes. If I were the neighbors, I'd appreciate that, too.

Happy birthday.

Got an ebay account? Do a search of "closed items" of things like you have, get yourself free appraisals. Anything valuable, take to an antique dealer you know and trust or put it on ebay. The rest of the stuff, have a yard sale and donate what does not sell.
A U-Haul carrying the contents of 2 three bedroom homes, each on 1/2 acre with sheds, arrived at my single wide trailer and vomited it's contents last week. I have managed to dig my way out of the rubble, but it is apparent I'll be needing to build a storage shed ASAP.
