Lindsey Graham will face a libertarian in GOP Primary!

Good news from South Carolina ... We're going to challenge Lindsey Graham in the GOP primary for the 2014 election!

Many of you remember the conflicts that Dr. Paul had with Senator Graham over the years. (Plenty of nice footage on YouTube here http://bit.ly/RpqABs ).

Well, thanks to an obscure law that's on the books in SC, Lindsey Graham will be facing a primary challenge from Keith Blandford, a Navy veteran and business owner who has twice run for Congress on the Libertarian party ticket.

The Blandford campaign (for which I'm volunteering) is taking advantage of "Electoral Fusion" - a largely unknown procedure only possible in eight states - which allows two or more parties to nominate the same candidate. In this case, Blandford will be seeking the nomination of both the Republican and Libertarian parties simultaneously.

The stakes are high: if Blandford fails to obtain the nomination of either party, the state's "sore-loser" statute will bar him from appearing on the ballot at all. However, if he is is successful, he will appear on the ballot twice, making a strong statement of his dedication to the libertarian philosophy popularized by his inspiration and reason for seeking elected office, Dr. Ron Paul.

Our strategy is simple: the governmental over-reach supported by Republicans like Lindsey Graham has alienated a lot of small-government conservatives. By taking divisive social issues (over which the Federal Government has no Constitutional authority) off the table, and zeroing in on the size and scope of government itself, we hope to attract a broad range of disillusioned voters, from Ron Paul fans clamoring for monetary reform, to Tea Party members upset about the ballooning National Debt, to "Ron Paul Democrats" concerned about electronic surveillance, indefinite detention, and other civil liberties issues.

We're going up against a very powerful, very wealthy political machine, which is why we're getting started so early. If you'd like to keep up with our efforts as we move forward, please bookmark our campaign website - http://blandford2014.com - and check us out on Facebook: http://facebook.com/blandford2014

Or Graham should be facing...

...the electric chair.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Anyone on the Keith Blanford Campaign...

If you need help with your website, marketing, social networking, etc please contact me through this site. I would be glad to consult at no charge to help. Anything I can do to assist in getting Graham out of office would be my pleasure.

Well, he should be facing...

...a firing squad.

This Data May Be Out Of Date and has Changed

All South Carolina stuff is up in the air it seems.

Can someone from SC clarify where things really are on the Congressional Seat and the 2014 senate Seat?

The above Article should be edited to indicate that things have changed.

Strategy I'd suggest

Try to find a former disgruntled staffer of Graham - Milk them like you are a dairy farmer for intel.

Nail Graham to the wall for supporting Obama on drones, use phrases such as 'Unamerican', 'Something you would expects from a communist country, but NOT here in America', 'Do you want Lindsay Graham spying in your bedroom window?' Stick with the ones that get the best response from the people, and hit Graham again and again relentlessly.

Use specific wedge issues to separate him from military support and military families.

Don't come across as Libertarian but if he calls you a Libertarian, you need a great comeback - try this: "If I'm a Libertarian based on the issues I support, then that makes Lindsay Graham a Liberal based on the issues he supports". "If being Libertarian means I love liberty, freedom and the American way, then I am - Lindsay Graham should try it sometime, he's obviously forgotten about it."

Be bloody cheap and brutal. Hammer him over and over. A few weeks before the election, clean it up and change messaging to patriotic, honorable and trustworthy. "When a senator's voting record does not reflect the will of the people who elected him, it's time to elect a new senator."

Good luck!

Suspended senate campaign

He's actually currently going for the house seat vacated by Tim Scott (who took DeMint's senate seat).

Besides, Tom Davis will take on and beat Lindsey.

I luv Lynseed

If you get rid of Lynseed, Just remember:
1. No comedic relief in the Senate
2. John McCan't will have no sex partner
3. We'll have one less neocon to protect our liberty
4. Kelly (C)Ayotte will be our most feminine senator
5. Oboma will be the only man in DC wearing mom-jeans

Please SC, think long an hard before you decide.

I just wish Lynseed could have my baby.

bad idea

most republicans in SC think libertarian is another word for liberal.

they learn!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

Go Tom Davis Go!

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

If he seeks re-election

I've already heard rumors Lindsey Graham is thinking about a 2016 campaign.

Fancy Shmancy Fine Print:

it wouldn't be possible, only

it wouldn't be possible, only possible if we have some major war event which is probably going to happen anyway because of our failed policy

Tom Davis has a GREAT shot at beating Graham

Let's not repeat the Wisconsin Senate primary. Tom Davis is an excellent candidate. He's taking courses at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, he has a record as a state senator, and he is a great speaker and persuader.

I really like this Libertarian, but I don't think he has a realistic chance of defeating Graham in a primary. Davis, on the other hand, is already rumored as the main threat to Graham.

Keith should respectfully drop out of the GOP primary if/when Davis announces, imho.

Someone here gets it!

I can't believe some here are pushing a former libertarian candidate for Congress that only got 1.2% of the vote in 2010 for the US Senate in SC, all the while posting this with such enthusiasm about knocking off Graham. Get real, I'm sure Keith is a great guy and all but clearly any Ron Paul supporter has to know that State Senator Tom Davis is likely gearing up to take on Graham. Davis is, in fact, endorsed by Ron and will be again + also by Rand and many others. All I have to say is there better not be any sabotage efforts going on here. Prime examples of past successful and attempted sabotage include the WI Senate race as well as the LP fielding candidates in Rep Amash's House seat as well as in Bentivolio's Special election. I vote Libertarian as a protest against establishment GOP but won't continue to do so if the LP keeps crowding our libertarian republicans in their races.

Lindsey Graham

should be dropped on a parachute over Afghanistan mountains.
