First Order of Business: An Honest Vote. If We Had One Ron Paul Would Be President Now

by James_Madison_Lives

What is the order of priorities for the Ron Paul Revolution to succeed now? I submit that we have already succeeded, and swayed a critical mass of voters to our viewpoint. Our arguments against the NDAA, for restoring the Constitution, for ending the Fed, and other components of our platform have already reached a critical mass of Americans. The fact is, if we had an honest voting system, Ron Paul would be president right now.

No matter how much hard work we do, it means nothing if they can simply make voting results say anything they want, as Karl Rove did in Ohio in 2004, as the GOP did in primary after primary in 2012 in which evidence is strong that Ron Paul won.

This thread is for the purpose of putting together an inventory of the voting systems in each state, so that we can prepare for victory in the congressional races 2014 and the presidential primaries and general election in 2016. We need to reconcile contradictory information into a repository which we can use to map our way forward. For example, some sources list early critical states like Iowa and New Hampshire as paper ballot states. However, these were among the states where electronic vote flipping was evident in the primaries. So do Iowa and NH have paper ballot voting or not?

The beauty of it is that this is an initiative which can cut across party and ideological lines. Only those up to no good could possibly be against this, and so they will be rapidly exposed. The Ron Paul Revolution has triumphed. Now let's get ready to prove it.

You are correct

...that the Republicans stole the nomination from Ron Paul. However, at the risk of sounding like Chandler Bing, it's too bad Ron Paul didn't want to BE President.

No King but Jesus, no President but Ron Paul

I disagree but that's okay, anyway you look at it the

Liberty Movement must assume every election at whatever level will be stolen, unless we assert ourselves at the ballot box level. In other countries people are mown down in the street for this kind of revolutionary message, hopefully it won't come to that but at the very least we can expect them to steal our victories.

Rand is too high profile and Ron's son but that is a unique circumstance. Let's study what happened in our own states and devote resources to demanding fixes, and challenge progressives of good faith (like the Greens and Jill Stein) to join us.

If we don't have an honest vote we have a banana republic, period. We don't need to figure out what we need to do to win. We already did.

I Couldn't Agree More

This is an absolute priority. I truly believe Ron Paul won many of the Republican primary and caucus states, only to have the powers-that-be change vote counts and engage in all sorts of other shenanigans. Anyone who was active in Republican politics (or any politics) throughout 2011 and 2012 saw the Ron Paul people active and engaged across the country and only a few paid Romney "supporters" here and there. There is no way Romney legitimately won. I will never believe that.

I could count the Romney supporters on both hands and feet

at some events. Ron Paul clearly won the Republican nomination. Now if we can duplicate this success at the state and county level with liberty candidates the Ron Paul message will prevail, but only if we have an honest vote. Why would we do all the work we are doing to keep moving forward with the liberty message if they can steal any victory we gain?

This is certainly a priority.

Voting systems are I believe a State responsibility so that fits with the bottom up strategy to take over the GOP.

I also believe a direct mail campaign like the Super Brochure could start at any time, it does not have to be an election cycle. There are direct mail experts in the DP group I am sure. Kathleen Gee is a copywriter I believe and Eric and Curt at Ron Paul Products have the system in place to carry it out. It can be linked eventually with a phone from home system as was used during the presidential campaign to follow up with recruits to the R3VOLution.

The process is simple and self funding after a while since any recruits to the system can become financial backers once they are convinced that the political platform embraced by the Ron Paul republicans (small r) is the only way to save the nation and restore the Republic.

At the same time Ron Paul will be keeping these issues in the public eye going around the college campuses. It is very important I believe to stick with the political platform developed by Ron Paul during his time in political office. It is simple, powerful, practical and will be very effective.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

Bump

Honest voting and uncensored internet are the 2 keys to keeping the door open to making actual changes in this country (IMO, at least).

I agree. But the only reason the uncensored Internet is so

important is our media in concentrated in the hands of banksters and military-industrial complex. If the anti-trust laws were ever worth applying, it is in the media. A new congress, made possible by an honest vote, could bust up the corporate media into the diversity it had in the 70's at least.

Regarding the purpose of this thread...

"This thread is for the purpose of putting together an inventory of the voting systems in each state..."

How does one go about putting together the information for their own state? As you can see I am abit illiterate but don't mind doing some leg work if pointed in the right direction.

Contact your State's SOE

Start by contacting your state's (or County's) Supervisor of Elections. They should be happy to answer your questions.

What state are you in? This is the kind of voting system

verified voting says you have:

check to see if your state had any of these voting frauds:

Then we track down what's what and what we need to demand for reform. Basically I think we want to implement paper balloting everywhere. They are the hardest to steal, though it is still possible. But with enough poll watchers and inside observers we can make it almost impossible.

With Diebold machines vote-stealing is ridiculously easy.

I havent checked the Rockwell

I havent checked the Rockwell site yet but I am in MO with

Mixed Paper Ballot and DREs with VVPAT (I dont yet know what any of that means...except paper ballot.) When I go to the poll I color in dots on a paper ballot.

I'll do a little reading.

I think the consensus is that paper ballor voting is the most

fool-proof system. That combined with RicheyG's (below) idea of extensive use of cameras and video might be the two main elements of model state legislation.

Anyone with information that paper ballot is not the best please share.

Hearing no objections, the Liberty Movement is now

officially calling for exclusively paper ballot voting in all 50 states, in all elections. Also camera surveillance of poll workers.

Can I get an amen?

All that fancy technology ..

Which is used for sports games .. Slow mo video, instant playback .. Should be placed near the vote counters for quality assurance .. And broadcasted live.

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

- Calvin Coolidge

Totally brilliant! The national secuurity survelliance state

could be turned around to good use by making it impossible to walk boxes of ballots out the back door. A camera set up at the entrance and exit points of each voting station could take the place of human poll watchers, which Ron Paul has said is a vital function.

Counting how many people walk in the door to vote gives you a baseline for the most obvious kind of fraud, stuffing ballot boxes or tweaking the Diebold to read more votes than even walked in the door.

Let's get to work. The ballot is a state house function. Which Liberty representatives at state house level could be the first to draft legislation?
