War Costs: Child casualties as a result of U.S. drone strikes.

Is it any wonder why there is anti-american sentiment throughout the world? The concept of blowback MUST be understood by American citizens. We are creating our own enemies. Americans must ask themselves what we would do if this was happening in our country:

"During my recent trip to Pakistan as part of our upcoming documentary film, Drones Exposed, I was struck most by the stories told to me by children who had experienced a U.S. drone strike firsthand. The impact of America’s drone war in the likes of Pakistan and Yemen will linger on, especially for the loved ones of the 178 children killed in those countries by U.S. drone strikes.

War Costs’ latest video (with accompanying report) brings attention to the children who have died as a result of drone strikes. The video names some of the children who perished in these strikes, and points out the obfuscation tactics of American officials who will not own up to the significant amount of civilian casualties that have occurred due to this legally- and morally-dubious policy.

In addition to the video, War Costs offers this report detailing the effects of drone strikes on children. The findings come mainly from the diligent investigative reporting of TBIJ and the groundbreaking reports on the impact of drone strikes by Stanford and New York University researchers (Living Under Drones: Death, Injury and Trauma to Civilians from US Drone Practices in Pakistan) and researchers at Columbia University (The Civilian Impact of Drones: Unexamined Costs, Unanswered Questions)." -Robert Greenwald

Surgical strikes with precision weaponry?

Listening to the quotes from our military and civilian leadership dubbed in over the names of the children killed by drone strikes betrays the blatant lie they would have us believe that only worthy enemies are allowed to be taken out this way.

"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
*But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
*Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
*And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them." - Mark 10:13-16

"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
*And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. *But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." - Matthew 18:3-6

Reminds me of Madeleine Albright.

Disgusting.

I thought of her wicked words

and was certain someone would connect her statement to the rest of the offenders quoted. There was not even the slightest change of expression, no twinge of conscience at all, when Albright answers the question of whether the deaths of 500,000 children was worth our country's enforcement of the UN's embargo against Iraq. "A hard choice, but the price, we think the price is worth it."

No wonder Albright was awarded the Medal of Freedom by Obama back in May this year. The first president to assume a seat on the UN's security counsel would obviously approve of her support of UN policy, though he didn't mentioned that in the ceremony.

You've got to wonder how Bob Dylan felt when he was given the same award that she got that day! Thanks Tama, for posting this thread.

Dear Santa, Can YOU bring peace on earth for Christmas?

I tried, but no one cares what I say.
With love-
Jesus.

I am going to make a Christmas card, a hand with a nail through it writing that letter.

Most of the year, I find Christians to be good people trying hard in a world of lies. This time of year, they get on my nerves. My landlord has a flag on her porch " "As for my house, we shall serve the Lord." Then she goes off on my husband for wearing a Ron Paul T shirt, and demands to know if he supports the war, because he should KNOW that we HAVE to be at war... If Jesus is the reason for the season, how about we pay some attention to what Jesus' reason was? PEACE ON EARTH. Or maybe he really wanted us to go kill babies and I just misunderstood.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.
