Do vaccines cause autism? Rep. Carolyn Maloney grills CDC in Congressional inquiry

Do vaccines cause autism? Rep. Carolyn Maloney grills the CDC over the practice of injecting babies and infants with multiple vaccines all at once.

FACT: The CDC openly admits that vaccines contain mercury, aluminum, MSG and formaldehyde. All of these are neurotoxic chemicals or metals. Read more at:

"Mike Adams named second most influential person in alternative media "

(NaturalNews) The popular alternative news website Activist Post has compiled its 2011 "10 Most Influential People in the Alternative Media" list, and we are excited to announce that NaturalNews' own Mike Adams, the "Health Ranger," was ranked #2. This list, which includes such notable truth warriors as Lew Rockwell, Jeff Rense, and Alex Jones,

I realize some people like him. I think he is full of crap.

I wish I could avoid reading his disinformation and propaganda, but alas he appears on the DailyPaul over and over again.

Mike Adams is unmatched in his ability to distort the truth, manipulate his audience, make pseudoscience gibberish sound plausible, and sensationalize minor information that somewhat fits into his fantasy worldview.

I have written several essays and many comments trying to expose Mike Adams as a disinformation specialist and a quack. Even the title "Natural News" is a fallacy.

Want a 50 cc vaccine?

That is roughly the weight titrated dose comparison for an adult. Here is your "vaccine success story" - 95% vaccination rate is supposed to achieve "herd immunity."

Mike Adams is an idiot and a snake-oil salesman

1. Thimerosal is being phased out as a preservative. It is not because of any proven link between autism and vaccines, but because of the persistence of the myth.

2. A tiny bit of formaldehyde residue in a solution is harmless. Formaldehyde is metabolized readily by the body. In massive doses formaldehyde can be toxic (i.e. if an alcoholic drinks a bottle of methanol) but in small amounts it is nothing to worry about. It is relatively common in nature and unavoidable.

3. "Feeling a headache after a vaccine? That's the chemicals eating your brain."

This claim is so stupidly dishonest that it deserves special attention apart from the other stupidly dishonest claims Mike Adams routinely makes. A side effect of every known drug is listed as "headache." This is because at any given moment it is extremely likely that at least a certain percentage of the population will develop a spontaneous headache. Your brain doesn't even have any pain receptors. A headache is a result of a vasodilation in the meninges (the membranes that cover the brain). Claiming that the vaccines cause a headache because the "chemicals are eating your brain" is plain fear-mongering.

4. Vaccines aren't being used to depopulate the Earth and cause "brain damage and infertility." If this was the goal, then it is such a big failure that we should laugh at the culprits. Vaccines have been such a success on the long-term that they have kept a significant portion of the population alive that otherwise would have succumb to disease. We are starting to see in increase in many diseases because medicine is advancing and weaker people are living longer.

Do they have a certain amount of side-effects and negatively affect a certain percentage of the population? Yes. This is true for every single medical treatment, without exception (including doing nothing). This is why vaccines should not be mandatory. But they are still a good idea.

you make a good point BUT

the problem is that theres no real protection if you are hurt by these vaccines the manufacturers arent held accountable and for all the children and adults that have been affected all they want is the truth and why is it not being talked about and having a real dicussion so if you are one that will have an allergic reaction they cant test for that before hand

I like your take on this. I

I like your take on this. I feel like every time there's a legitimate concern raised on a serious topic (ie. vaccination and its contribution to adverse health issues) that the fanatics take it and blow it up into something that it's not without looking at hard evidence--yes there are toxic chemicals, no it's not eating your brain. I do feel that vaccinating children with toxic chemicals in order to prevent them from getting inconvenient diseases (like chicken pox, the flu in a non-immunocompromised child) is completely unnecessary, and the risk outweighs the benefit. But polio? Smallpox? The benefit outweighs the risk with some diseases. And a modified vaccine schedule should be advised and embraced by healthcare providers in certain circumstances.

Ok Doc take a look at this

Here's a graph showing decline of deaths vs implementation of a vaccine. These diseases were falling LONG before any introduction by the pharmaceutical companies convinced us all we had to have injections.

I say due to increased nutrition and better hygienic practices and water supplies was the real cause of the decrease of disease in this country.

http://www.omsj.org/wp-content/uploads/us-deaths-1900-1965.jpg

The chart is kind of deceptive

There are confounding factors besides hygiene and vaccines. Antibiotics treat whooping cough, diphtheria, and bacterial comlications from measles. This chart doesn't show disease rates, but death rates.

Why do we need a vaccine then?

Antibiotics, nutrition, and hygiene should do the trick.

why do we need to risk injuring the brain and nervous system with a direct to blood injection?

There's never been a bad drug on the market?
You trust everything that passes the FDA?
People have never been injured by bad drugs?
There have been no proper studies on vaccines.
Tell me why they won't allow you to sue the vaccine companies if your child is injured? Why do they have immunity against prosecution?

In my state they passed a law saying they couldn't put mercury (thimerosal) in vaccines. Then they turned around and passed an amendment giving wavers to certain vaccines. People still believe that they took the mercury out....but they didn't

Go ahead and juice yourself up all you want. Just leave me and my kids out of it.

I think vaccines are over done

Along with antibiotics and even hygiene. Human nature is to overdue everything.

It doesn't mean vaccines aren't effective.

This immunity from prosecution is a seperate issue. So is the argument about the FDA.

doesn't mean they are Effective either

....
lets see the studies

Thimbleberry

You make one hell of an argument.

Yup

I hear you. There is certainly a range of risks and benefits from vaccine to vaccine and from person to person. Based on the evidence that I've seen, I think that many vaccinations are about injecting big pharma with cash rather than injecting people with immunity. But there is a reason that vaccines arose on the market in the first place: because people thought that they would be better with them than without them. The primary issue shouldn't be whether vaccines as a thing are good or bad, but rather whether people have the right to assess for themselves whether a particular vaccine provides a benefit that outweighs its present and future costs.

Thank you for posting

seems the other supporters of vaccine honesty are not on line, so a bump from me.
