So the libertarian purge of

So the libertarian purge of the GOP continues... It sure does appear that the GOP is officially turning left.

When does Boehner come up for re-election anyway?

"Sayings, they are a changing"

"Sayings, they are a changing" indeed...

With this "Grand Old Party", the saying :

"Follow the money !"

has (long ago) turned into :

"Follow the tax !"

feels like there's been a lot of bad news this particular day

this also confirms for me they the gop are losing major grounds so much so that they have to start appealing to liberals to gasp for air, meaning they have lost revenue and power source they would previous gain by appealing to true fiscal conservatives. once they see no hope of future power on that front, they are going back to their liberal counterparts with whom many have worked in closet partnership for years. i suspect they have lost a lot of power players and donors on the fiscally conservative front because they feel that either gop is no longer able to represent and iterate those views or that these views are no longer profitable altogether, which isn't completely illogical considering the majority of corporations still standing probably get government handouts one way or another

Appeal to liberals by being more libertarian

They should appeal to liberals by being more libertarian. Believe it or not, there are libertarian leaning liberals. I have liberal friends who'd planned on voting for Ron Paul in the general election if he won the nomination in spite of his views on welfare and entitlements.

you're telling me

I had a job that was suppose to be a 30 day assignment, today they canceled my job. Sucks

assignment like a project within a company or you work

contracts etc

I've been unemployed since December of last year, and I was fineally offered a temporary job through an employment agency, which was suppose to be for 30 days. I worked too hard and finished the assignment almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule, so the assignment ended. Oh well I'm signed up with about 6 different temporary employment agencies, and nothing is available.

government sponsored programs have jacked up most

resources.. not much to go around for anyone else

when they have to clench that tight to maintain control

it means they have lost the following of the people.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

i am thinking there will be a radical wing of freedom movement

emerging. in a way gop doing this to themselves and clearing the space is a good thing, now that the two parties have visibly become one and one that is too big, it actually makes them more vulnerable, as all entity too expansive in size eventually becomes, and the vacuum created by gop will also be a natural lure for future activists to fill

just hoping the future freedom movement doesn't become like the european radicals where white supremacists fill the ranks. i also hope ron paul's message remains the emotional and philosophical bond that it is. when new political movement arises it has tendencies to denounce the old, in order to distinguish itself. we've already seen a sample of that on dp, with the push to replace ron paul with a lackluster candidate who's never read hayek and had little interest in monetary reform

I thought the same thing.

I sure wish the GOP cronies, and Bernanke, Krugman, et al. have seen this young man knowing better than the NONSENSE VOMIT them rent-seeking THIEVES pour on the crowds they try so hard to turn into their slaves :

Best comment :
"Someone, get this kid a microphone and a stadium."

But I don't keep my hopes too high. They certainly don't know about Chris at the GOP. They're usually too busy figuring out how to best continue steal from us in the next fiscal year and with which stuff to please Madame(s) thanks to their LOOT.

See, folks ?

See, folks ?

Some of us have often been laughed at for giving into conspiracy theories about the global enslavers.

Some would accuse some Jews.

Some would accuse some Zionists (whatever that means, I have no clue nor am I really interested).

Some would accuse some Catholics fanatics and an "evil" Pope.

Some would accuse some Free Masons.

Some would accuse some atheists.

Some would accuse the "illuminati".

Well, anyone can now laugh at me if they so wish :

I'm not interested in any of the above, because...

Dear Justin Amash :

my compassion to you, as their last known victim.

And sorry for all the CAPS. I was indeed shouting.

Report: Justin Amash among 'rebellious' GOP reps booted from key

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Justin Amash, R-Cascade Township, was booted from the House Budget Committee, potentially for past votes against key pieces of legislation promoted by his party, according to capitol newspaper Roll Call.

Amash, who last month won a second term in Congress, was among several Republican lawmakers shuffled to other committees for breaking with party leadership, Roll Call reported.

The newspaper cited anonymous sources who claimed Amash and the others were removed from key committees because House leaders are hoping to put the "fractious" caucus in order.

Amash spokesman Will Adams declined to comment on Roll Call's report because his office had yet to receive Amash's official assignments.

in my book. I voted for him in both Elections presicely for the reason that I knew he would always be for what is RIGHT!! He has not let me down! I am proud of him for doing what is RIGHT!!

IF this is true you know ...

What that means, right? The republicans are getting ready compromise with the dems and they cant do that with fiscal conservatives around.

Expect higher taxes and more entitlement spending soon.

My email to Speaker Boehner

Dear Mr. Speaker,

I was very saddened to hear that you have cut Justin Amash, and other fiscal conservatives, from the Budget & Finance Committees. I spent the majority of my life believing that Republicans stood for smaller government and fiscal responsibility. It is actions like this that have caused me to lose faith in the Republican party.

I am what you would consider to be a young voter. People my age don't care about the rhetoric in Washington. We want honest representatives and we can see through the duplicity. We don't listen to what Fox, CNN, or MSNBC tells us, rather we tend to think for ourselves. I think that is why we like Ron Paul so much. He gives it to us straight and doesn't tell us what to think. The frankness is refreshing in a world of spin.

I'm not asking you to change your choice in this instance as I don't believe that you care about what I think. I'm just letting you know that the Republican party has lost another young voter.

Merry Christmas.

Great letter

However "I'm letting you know that the Republican party has lost another young voter."

... should not have been your last line.

It should have been the first.

Good point.

I honestly didn't expect anyone to really read it anyway. I did it more for myself and then posted the letter publicly on his Facebook and my own, as well as this site.
