Boehner Backlash Begins

Boehner’s steering committee stripped four rank-and-file members of coveted committee assignments, including conservatives David Schweikert of Arizona, Justin Amash of Michigan, and Tim Huelskamp of Kansas. Various reasons were given, including their records of voting against their leaders’ wishes.

Club for Growth President Chris Chocola immediately cast the move as pay back for taking “principled stands on behalf of pro-growth policies, often bringing them in conflict with the leadership.”

Boehner received an e-mail form me...

Denouncing his behavior as tyrannical, and an insult to the grassroots of the party. It also shows their desperation. I was pretty steamed, as such, do not remember exactly how I phrased it. Did mention the lack of principle and vision, as well as the Tampa debacle.

Democrats completely gone

They have embraced statism as their core belief. Within the Republican ranks there is still a liberty identity that can be salvaged. The Democrats really suck beyond repair The Republicans suck a bit less and there is still some hope. Let's destroy the current Republican configuration in order to fight the bigger enemy.

Now is the time for Ron Paul to speak about about this.

Dr. Paul did mention the fact that

the GOP leadership booted Amash from the financial committee he was on. I wouldn't expect him to get to involved in it though. After 24 years of beating his head against the statist brick wall we call Congress, he seems thoroughly tired of the political battles.

When is the vote for the

When is the vote for the speaker for the next session? We should start a social media frenzy to get somebody else as speaker.

Better to be for something

Let's work together to form a true conservative coalition that would make Ron Paul proud. Libertarians, grass roots conservatives, smart evangelicals, Pat Buchanan types - and pull talk radio along with us.

The enemies - Obama and the Progressives, the Republican establishment Progressives and Neoconservatives.

Let's talk about what we are for rather than what we are against.

both parties are just one dictatorship

it is very obvious the democrats have been deluded into thinking rich people own govt, the republicans have been deluded to think govt owns everyone, and Ron Paul is over here saying no, they both own you because of the FED and its rackets.

but nonstop you all attack him; democrips and rebloodlicans lost our Republic.

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Boehner and the media are under the impression

that every fiscal Conservative voted this past November. There are literally MILLIONS of fiscally Conservative activists who did not vote because of Romney being on the ticket. Those and the millions of us that did vote didn't die or emigrate and Boehner and his ilk are going to find that out in 2016 if he keeps this up. Closing a loophole is still raising taxes and most loopholes, including the mortgage deduction hit the middle class as well as the rich. Just like Mittens, Boehner doesn't specify all of the particular loopholes he wants to burn.

Voting is not the way to go..

The system will not find out anything in 2016..WE will find out they will send us politics as usually..Voting is useless, unless you have a CLEAN HONEST media..Without an honest media there will be no TRUE vetting, and they will destroy any true choices..No my friend, the time is here..Its time to start a MASSIVE educate the public campaign..The Gov will change when the PEOPLE change..Until then its a back and forth motion of my party is better then your party..You know how WE guerilla advertised for Dr Paul, through banners, leaflets and so on..We need a MASSIVE 50 state, leaflet campaign..NOW..think about it..add to it...just get the word out and help organize it..All of you..The time is now...Not 2016,or 20 anything..But NOW..We have to let go of the idea of voting in our saviours..A Republic if YOU can keep it..

That's what I've been thinking

ever since Nov. 6. We need to somehow organize on a massive scale nationwide to educate people on history, civics, and economics. We don't need to stop campaigning for liberty just because we not campaigning for a candidate. We need to seriously think about starting a massive, grassroots, educational campaign. I haven't tried to suggest anything like this yet because I wanted to wait until Christmas and New Year are past because most people are busy. But, something like distributing ten million flyers in 2013 would be an excellent way to mass educate. Maybe we could get a group like RonPaulProducts to fix up brochures briefly explaining economics and sound money and pointing people to educational websites and books. That's something to think about anyway.

This is what I have been doing:

Gun sales are through the roof.

I have been attending gun shows, with a Campaign for Liberty table. Though it doesn't have to be Campaign for Liberty if you just want to do it on your own. Print, and then distribute from a chair. There is no need to go door to door, take out expensive ads or write blogs that few read.

They have a concession stand with cheeseburgers :-)

I will just add that I don't really get into guns, but do fully support the 2nd Amendment. What better place to find thousands of gun-toting Republicans gathered in one single place, lol.

Boehner is now clearly exposed as a big tax & spend neocon.

If there was any doubt before, there is not any longer.

News like this just keeps coming faster and faster

I don't know if it’s due to more RP minded people getting the information out, or if there is simply a massive push by big government to squash all personally liberties making the increase of news like this is truly more frequent?
All that keeps going through my mind is Ron Pauls words "We must take over the establishment from the inside" This does not mean calling Boehners office, that gets us nowhere IMO even though it makes us feel better that we at least called to vent our frustration.
We need a huge movement to get our freedom minded brothers and sisters in all levels of government. This includes law enforcement, TSA, fire fighters, homeland security, Fed Reserve, Justice positions, military etc. Our movement will not be strong enough to overthrow the regime unless we infiltrate the corruption from every angle. I am convinced that freedom minded, liberty loving, constitutional focused Americans would be the best people to have government jobs knowing full well that their mission is to spread the message from the inside and ultimately move to the private sector after the movement has succeeded in limiting governments role in our lives.

Finally pissed off enough to spread the word of Dr. Paul

GOP Civil War

Call it what it is.

What happens during a civil war? The entity hosting the war is consumed, potentially destroyed.

(Some) people around here hate Lincoln, but if the party is to be saved, someone has to step up to the plate and save it, as Lincoln did to save the Union. Note that, as much as you may disagree, Lincoln is now viewed as a hero among the majority of Americans.

Also note how Bill Buckley stepped up to the plate in the 60's to save the GOP:

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about the GOP. It can die for all I care.

However, and FYI: There is an attempted revolution in progress. For lack of a better term, the "Tea Party" is attempting the overthrow. Boner is part of the Establishment, trying to quell the rebellion. Depending on how big the opposition is, he either will be able to, or he won't. The process to find out if he can (quell the rebellion or not) is what we are witnessing now: Civil War.

The question is how the "Tea Party" will tack. Will it be slash and burn, or some kind of compromise and acquiescence. Dick Armey just said fuck it as far as Freedom Works tactics are concerned. I haven't been paying enough attention to know what he's saying fuck it to, but I think he is saying to to Tea Party "extremism."

Mind you, revolutions and governing are two different things, requiring two different skill sets.

Fidel Castro was a great revolutionary. He succeeded. As a ruler, he was pretty terrible. Look at how his people have suffered for over half a century.

Read the Buckley article:

Whether you agree with it or not, it should make you think.

Anyway. Just sayin'

Jeb Bush?

Do you think he can turn around the party? Isn't he a neocon?

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Jeb Bush

Ha ha ha ha ha.

The last thing I want to see in the White House is Jeb Bush.

Please note that just because I linked to that article does not mean I agree with its conclusion. I post it for informational purposes only.

But to get to your point: Can Jeb turn around the party? I don't know. I'm only a nominal member of the party. That will be decided by the members of the party.

Are there enough members of the party to say no to Jeb? Or will they steamroll over the 'Tea Party' wing like Boner just did?

But say the Tea Party wing elects a Rick Santorum as the 2016 nominee. Will she have a chance in the general election?

Sorry to tell all you Rand fans, but to the general public, Rand Paul may as well be Rick Santorum.

Jim DeMint: Boehner’s offer ‘will destroy American jobs’

“Speaker Boehner’s $800 billion tax hike will destroy American jobs and allow politicians in Washington to spend even more, while not reducing our $16 trillion debt by a single penny,” DeMint said in a statement. “[I]f neither party leadership is going to put forward a serious plan to balance the budget and pay down the debt, we should end this charade.”

Our votes seem to hardly

Our votes seem to hardly count anymore. The people in the states who elected these reps should be raising UnHoly HELL. The GOP national office should not stop getting phone calls until they are reinstated. Boehner's office? Why bother. He is a puppet. Call the GOP. Tell them to take you off their mailing list. Tell them their agenda is not YOURS. Tell them they are ruining this free country. Jones, Amash, these true conservatives should be getting KUDOS, not punishment..I am so mad...

The neocons will see this as a win for them.

The idea that we can make friends with these people and win influence isn't going to work.. We MIGHT reach the average neocon but those high up could give a rats ass about what we say.. It's war and we need to remove them and replace them with our people.

The beauty of this though, is Boner and the rest of his crew will show everyone exactly what they're made of. There will be hell to pay for them in the coming future.

I'm getting ready to call Boehner's office and let them know

they have officially lost a 37 year registered republican this morning. Not that he gives a sh*t - I've been debating what to do but after reading about this, the Supv. of Elections office was my first stop this morning.

you are completely right

however,,, i feel like---when they read your comment,,,, they don't care, they say "what's he gonna do go democrat.. He'll be back."
and they roll on doing what they want,,,,, it seems we have no power to affect stuff majorly and we can't really hold their feet to the fire

in fact only boner's district can and he's got it wrapped up,,,, as americans believe it's always the other reps that suck,,, mine is good mantra
we need a better, easier way to recall these punks

the deck is stacked against "the people"

I Registered Libertarian

Of course, that was decades ago, as I had reached my limit much earlier!

What's best to do probably varies by where you live and your other options, there, including how much support you can get.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I'm not counting on much support - but I let the ladies

in the Supv. of elections office know why! I'm in Martin County Florida which is heavily republican - GHWB's mother used to live here and I'm going to guess that any Bush that wanted to run for office would win by a landslide in Martin County. I feel good about changing to "no party affiliation" yet I realize that I may have to change back before the 2014 primaries but for now, there is one less republican in this country.
