Why Does Changing The Party In Power Never Change Policy?

{Editor’s Note: This is the 15th installment of a series of articles attempting to address the 32 questions posed by Ron Paul in his recent farewell speech given in front of Congress. Check out the previous installment, “Why Does Congress Willingly Give Up Its Prerogatives To The Executive Branch?”}

I can’t think of a more appropriate time to discuss the charade of the two-party system than when it is on full public display as it is currently is with the much hyped “Fiscal Cliff” negotiations. The Fiscal Cliff drama is just another Act in Two-Party Theater that our Congress continually plays out in order to make sure nobody forgets that the Republicans and Democrats are “dueling rivals” and stand for drastically different directions to take the country in. The problems associated with the Fiscal Cliff – a heavy debt burden and high taxation – were created through bipartisan cooperation. It’s a safe bet that any and all proposed solutions will also be touted as a victorious achievement in “bipartisan cooperation”. And just like all of the previous agreements that led to the fiscal cliff, the compromise reached will lead to larger government.

The Fiscall Cliff in a nutshell: a series of tax breaks that will all expire at the same time at the end of the year, while supposed “drastic” cuts in military and domestic spending kick in at the same time. This current “crisis”, like all of the annual or bi-annual fiscal crises, was the result of the last agreement that Congress came to regarding the raising of the debt ceiling, which will also certainly be one of the issues on the table in these negotiations. As with nearly every aspect of these Congressionally invented crises, the idea that there are drastic spending cuts coming is largely spin.

While it’s true that military (not to be confused with “defense”) spending will be cut for one year, it will then continue to proceed to rise once again. Most of the sequestration cuts are actually simply cuts to previously proposed increases in spending, the net result being that ten years from now, government spending will be $2 Trillion higher instead of….$2.1 trillion higher without sequestration.

The complementary system

They blame each other for the policy they implement, but they never repeal the legislation, they simply ratchet along on the common agenda they both possess.

Exactly

And this is why I laughed at people that, despite hating Romney, insisted we had to support him so we could "repeal Obamacare".

Please.

When the Democratic Party decided to infiltrait the GOP

and materialize as Neocons under Bush'es administration, it was pretty pbvious the MIC and the contractors and FRB were in charge of taking the United States into a NWO, MSM, UN global government. No conservative group has been able to out the Neocons because they lie, cheat, steal, buy off judges and hurt people who don't do what they want.. meanwhile the general public is so turned off to the GOP, they have become a third party behind registered Indy's (who have no representation).. Until people wake up get in the GOP to fight the Neocons, both parties will continue to be under control of the Neos.

"The Neos"

Accurate description of the one party masquerading as two parties.

The members of both parties fit that description, The Neos. Why mince words? Let's call them what they are. Drop Lib(s) and Con(s), leaving Neo(s). The Neos, members of the Neo Party. Describing them correctly should help revive the two parties.

That's how I see it

They destroyed the Libs and the Cons abetted by FRB, MSM and MIC.

Alphabet Soup

Mind writing what the uncommon initials are -- MIC and FRB? MSM, main stream media, right?

Well said.

Granger, why do take the time to make perfect sense in one post, but not the other?

Many are busy siding right up to the status quo

with their short sighted approach to so called Liberty candidates as well.. The ole play along to get along Santorum style is being paraded as if it's a viable approach to get where we need to be.

So sad... if this continues and catches on because people are so desperate to do something that they're willing to do anything political, they'll be crying the blues 10 and 20 years from now, wondering what happened.

I won't wait that long.. If I don't see progress towards Liberty, me and many others WILL force the issue. Like it or not.

Very good point

Every time I hear someone sticking up for a supposed "liberty candidate" who behaves in non-liberty ways, I can't help but think of Ron Paul slamming Santorum for his "go along to get along" ways.

We can't have it both ways. Compromising principles leads to th status quo. Every. Single. Time.

Two wings

on the same bird.

My two cents...

The real reason why changing parties doesn't change the course of policy is very simple, but at the same time, it is hidden from the public view. Nothing in life is sacred, except God and his Word, so this means that everything must be scrutinized, and we can't trust a single person and just take their word for something. In order to answer the question, one must work hard to study secret societies because this is the real way in which the entire world is run - national sovereignty hasn't existed for a very long time. The first problem is that Institutaions (aka corporations, legal entities, Trusts) are always created to control using the Hegelian dialectic, so Truth and Justice will never be found in any institution - all political parties are institutions all over the world. All Corporations, Trusts, Institutions and Legal entities are creations of Trust Law, which is based on Roman Canon Law. International Law (Admiralty Law) is the world legal system that Rome (aka Europe) has imposed on the entire world. Based on this, as soon as someone joins a political party, he/she is already limited by what the Institution wants, and not what the People really desire. Internally, you will not move up the chain of command if you don't enter a Secret Society like the Freemasons, Knights of Malta, Rosicrucians, etc. The point is that we are never going to change anything by simply changing the President, Representatives or Senators - this is all a sham to consfuse people. The true power is wielded by the group that created International Law and subsequently control all of the world's monetary policy. These are the folks that Lincoln, Jackson and Kennedy faught against. They always work under the shadows, and people refer to them as the Illuminati (Jesuits = Illuminati = suppressed Knights Templars), but I know who they are. They control the CIA, FBI, Mossad, MI5, MI6 and all of the other alfabet Prostitutions (I meant Institutions). ALL of the public servants that are in positions of power, MUST be controlled by being part of a secret society, and by this way true liberty and justice is never practiced - only the will of the Roman Empire. In the end, the real issue is that people aren't focusing on the root of the problem, but instead with a tiny branch that really doesn't wield power. Look at the symbols that are on both sides of the Speaker of the House of Representatives - this is who truly runs the show. And to be clear, the true power resides in the shadow governments of the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Vatican. The Vatican is the most powerful since they control all Secret Socities under the sun. Sorry for making this too long, but this is an extremely important topic to understand. Blessings to all who love Truth and Justice!!!

I have not

had time to research Quigley as much as I would like, but I understand he was a major player in the push for a new world order.

Far into the future

The two party system will be looked at as the height of vaudevillian style theater.

Maybe sooner than we think

I can already see the walls starting to crank. Most people are just a breaking point away.
