Noam Chomsky: What the American Media Won't Tell You About Israel

An old man in Gaza held a placard that read: “You take my water, burn my olive trees, destroy my house, take my job, steal my land, imprison my father, kill my mother, bombard my country, starve us all, humiliate us all, but I am to blame: I shot a rocket back.”

The old man’s message provides the proper context for the latest episode in the savage punishment of Gaza. The crimes trace back to 1948, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fled from their homes in terror or were expelled to Gaza by conquering Israeli forces, who continued to truck Palestinians over the border for years after the official cease-fire.

The punishment took new forms when Israel conquered Gaza in 1967. From recent Israeli scholarship (primarily Avi Raz’s “The Bride and the Dowry: Israel, Jordan, and the Palestinians in the Aftermath of the June 1967 War”), we learn that the government’s goal was to drive the refugees into the Sinai Peninsula – and, if feasible, the rest of the population too.

It Became Typical

for DP to be more and more a collectivist movement, seeing people in groups and defending groups demands.

Chomsky is anarcho-socialist who instigated Pentagon and UN to fight for East Timor. He will be fighting UN globalist wars permanently as long as HE sees it is the right thing to do. But his vision (like that of most socialists) is selective. Besides posturing, his energy does not go to defend Chechens in Russia, Kurds in Turkey, Basques in Spain, Tibetans in China, etc, etc.

The media is actually biased against Israel. And USA plays both sides. If USA and UN had stopped putting pressure on Israel, Arabs would had settled for peace long ago. Arabs cannot fight as a MAN, they only shoot from behind women and children and rely on the New World Order for help.

beats some 40, 50-year old boomer libertarian party nobody

for decades and decades, now all of a sudden popping here because a new generation irrelevant to your irrelevance somehow gives you renewed false hope of relevance

You would beat

even Marxists with such an argument. Wait! Marxists too have strong belief in their heart that one day good people will build a sustainable collective society based on economic equality, not on personal greed and selfishness. But their arguments are much better than yours. How old is Chomsky?
