“Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”-How lack of research can lead to getting fooledSubmitted by MikeLawson on Wed, 12/05/2012 - 14:26
This fake story was funny to me and I thought it was true for some reason. Probably because it made sense in some internal narrative I have created and so without any investigation whatsoever, I put it up on the daily paul for all to see. Thankfully, others here were a bit more diligent than I and called this article out as a fake.
You truly can't believe anything you read without a lot of (or in some cases, a little) research and it's really easy to do so when the story fits your way of seeing things and especially when a story could be true if the particular stereotypical elements were to correspond somewhere.
PETA decided to protest a biker rally and they got the biker treatment. Imagine that.
"When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activist’s meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret hand shake,” assured the organizer."
(mod note: this did not really happen)
