“Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”-How lack of research can lead to getting fooled

This fake story was funny to me and I thought it was true for some reason. Probably because it made sense in some internal narrative I have created and so without any investigation whatsoever, I put it up on the daily paul for all to see. Thankfully, others here were a bit more diligent than I and called this article out as a fake.
You truly can't believe anything you read without a lot of (or in some cases, a little) research and it's really easy to do so when the story fits your way of seeing things and especially when a story could be true if the particular stereotypical elements were to correspond somewhere.

PETA decided to protest a biker rally and they got the biker treatment. Imagine that.

"When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activist’s meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret hand shake,” assured the organizer."

(mod note: this did not really happen)

This isn't true, this event

This isn't true, this event never happened.

People Eating Tasty Animals

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Such a contradiction to laugh at this for those of us who stand for liberty, peace, and principles Ron Paul shares - it doesn't matter if this is a fictional story or a real one: "Liberty across the board"

I would see laughing at them for exercising 1st Amendment Rights to be a show of support for violence in the same way if I saw someone laugh at Ron Paul supporters being attacked for any protests.

Down-votes to this logical reasoning without a reasonable response will be considered support for my logic.

Well- if those Ron Paul supporters were throwing

ballons full of red crap at people -then they too deserve a good ass kicking.

See, it stops becoming first amendment when you violate personal space, it then becomes a threat and or assault. Now, if you so believe in your cause that you feal such a threat is warranted - that is fine. Just remember that the person who's space you are violating may just find that space a cause worht fighting for.

See, what you miss is at the end of the day REAL liberty is having the right to kick the shit out of someone who threatens you - hence - protecting you and your ability to live a free, productive life.

Real Liberty

Well- if those Ron Paul supporters were throwing ballons [sic] full of red crap at people -then they too deserve a good ass kicking.

Nowhere in the post states that these people were throwing balloons. What the post stated was the people who were protesting were attacked, force was used against them to silence them.

Your down-vote now stands as testimony to justifying this aggressive attack on those exercising their freedom to assemble and speech.

See, what you miss is at the end of the day REAL liberty is having the right to kick the shit out of someone who threatens you

Yes, we are all free to accept injustice if we so choose. We are also free to rebuke it and instead accept peace.

Liberty is a double edged sword, my friend. We are free to reap what we sow.
Tell me, how tastes the fruit from a tree of "REAL liberty"? The bitter fruit of tyranny... or the sweet fruit of compassion?

Due to the nanny state, we

Due to the nanny state, we have no right to self defense. Our bodies are owned by the state through a contract with our corporate personhood(the guy on your driver's license). This is evident from the fact that suicide is a crime with a hefty fine. We are not free; if someone came at you with a knife you have to call the police and kindly ask your attacker to wait twenty or thirty minutes until they show up. Otherwise its straight to breakin' rocks.

Funny how bikers make fun of people riding Japanese bikes

that they call rice burners...

While they're drinking their Budweiser beer that contains rice alcohol.

And is the reason behind most of the hangovers that make them so grumpy in the afternoon.

Daily Paul cured my abibliophobia.

Who are all of these bikers

Who are all of these bikers downvoting everyone?

Oh that's great.

Oh that's great.

I'm vegan and

didn't realize this was fake but - I'm vegan and I think throwing things at people is a bad way to get your message across any day. If I throw a water balloon at someone, even as a joke, I expect they'll get me back somehow. If I was throwing a vegan party and another vegan started throwing stuff at my guests I think duct taping him to a tree wouldn't be such a bad idea no matter what he was yelling when he threw the stuff, dick moves are dick moves. They could have set up a stand with tasty vegetarian food (it does exist) to get people interested. Now there's just another reason to think vegs are dicks to people who want to eat meat. I don't care what you put in your body, it's none of my business.

-Give me liberty.

You've been had

slow news day I guess.

"Once you become knowledgeable, you have an obligation to do something about it."- Ron Paul

A real biker gang would have

A real biker gang would have impaled their stomachs with pool cues.

Still......very funny

Thanks for sharing . Hah, secret hand shake, chortle.

Aaron Russo, Nikola Tesla, Ron Paul, I'm jus' sayin'

I simply cannot stop laughing!!!!

That is the quote of the year -
“Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”

Guess were not in Kansas anymore Toto.

that sucks

that really sucks - not nearly as funny now.

smart thinking

Ron Paul supporters thinking it'd be funny protesters would be assaulted, bound, thrown in dumpsters etc.

This forum makes us look like idiots.

Yeah, but everyone shines

Yeah, but everyone shines when whittled down to the gems.

Yeh - actually it would be pretty funny

IF the story was true It would actually be hilarious. You know - I don't mold my life around Ron Paul like some God. The story presented that these "protestors" attempted to violate the rights of others by interfering with their party - and as such got what they deserved.
I few real life stories that make this funny to me.

I have a personal aquantance who used to own a slaughter house. He no longer owns it because members of PETA BURNT it to the ground. No concern for possibly killing someone, no concern for firefighters and ironically - no concern for the animals INSIDE the slaughter house which were burned alive - and no concern for the financial loss sustained. Screw PETA.

On the other side. I used to own a home right next door to an old closed down bar. The property was owned by a member of the Hells Angels(he may have been a "hang-around" - not a full member - but all the same). One day - they decide they are going to throw a stag party - and the bikes start showing up. Now - I live in a sleepy little suburb - the neighbor on the other side of the house was a horse farm - bikes and gangs are not too common. Soon enough the parking lot was full. Now did these ruthless gangsters go all PETA like and demand to just park in my driveway or in front of my house - NO - each and everyone to a man parked his bike/truck or car, got out and came and asked me if I minded them parking on the road in front of the house. Easiest decision every made.

Back to the story now - I find it hilarious because OF COURSE I was not going to say NO to them - that would have been pretty stupid - right or wrong. And it would be just as stupid for PETA to do what this story said. Thats why if find it hilarous.
Remember when you decide to stand for what you believe -the other person may just be more willing to stand for what THEY believe. And when that other person is a known member of a violent gang - you best be willing to REALLY believe in your cause or things can go horribly horribly wrong.

Of course - deep down I wanted an invite to the stag party cause judging by the ladies showing up you know it was one hell of a party - LOL ;)

I think I have seen this here before...

...and i am pretty sure it was found to be fake...but still funny!

I'd rather have a bottle in front o' me than a frontal lobotomy

Yesterday, I fell for it too.

Still good for a laugh.

Love or fear? Choose again with every breath.

I love animals, and I don't eat meat but I'm still not a huge fan of PETA. This is too funny. Perhaps they should stick with easier targets;)
