I may be wrong but that's not how I interpreted his stand. And other speeches from him.
I don't think he is concerned with Germany, specifically, being in such a position.
But I am sure he despises bureaucrats and denounces the E.U. as a farce. A circus of thieves. A GROSS tasteless joke for the peoples. I also suspect he does know about the central bankers flavor other there.
The idea of the E.U. was ... well, a union of European countries.
Whether we give meaning to the idea, or not and find it idiotic, is irrelevant.
(I find the idea of such union idiotic and much hazardous but I won't elaborate here why. Let me just say it's a COMPLETELY different type of union from the USA, for one thing - very little in common but just the word "union")
But for him to see those who **presumably** believed in it (claimed they did) become a gang of insiders pushing their own special interests thru A MONO-country lead (that they have chosen for convenience and affinity) ... that's where he is outraged, I think.
If your team members are presumably equally important, to make ONLY ONE of them the one with almighty economic and bureaucratic regulatory power is ...
UTTERLY hypocritical.
Correction : A TOTAL deception, actually.
I believe that's what he actually denounces. He would have had the same speech if it had been France, or Spain, or etc.
Hence his example of the central bureauCRAPS deciding of the fate of the italian people. Arbitrarily, in recent history.
...as I usually do, I'm only criticizing his use of the anti-German schtick, because it's nefarious propaganda.
The Germans are the favored boogeyman in Europe, and the false narrative that the EU architects need to advance their agenda requires a boogeyman.
Whenever someone opposes the "European Project," the pro-EU people raise the specter of another world war, as if the evil Huns are just chomping at the bit waiting to invade France again. Opponents of the EU are implicitly (if not explicitly) made out to be NAZIs. It's kind of like how ardent States rights people in the US are made out to be pro-slavery. The same with people who oppose more ECB buying of debt, must be pro-German (aka NAZIs). This kind of thing has been going on in Europe since 1945, one of the reasons that the Left and the internationalist Left especially has dominated Europe for so long is because they are able to paint anyone opposed to socialism or internationalism as NAZIs.
And, in general, this pitting of nation against nation is a distraction from the reality of the situation in Europe, which is that international business interests run all the nations. The drama of Merkel versus Sarokzy or now Hollande is a farce. It's like our Republicans and Democrats.
I *think* Nigel is one of the good guys, but nonetheless I wish he wouldn't play into the narrative of the Eurocrats by joining in the demonizing of Germans.
I don't think he hates them but you are right they are just people being used by the banking system.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."
He has some good points on the EU. The top leaders are not elected, and the individual countries should get out to preserve their sovereignty. There's absolutely no reason why someone like Greece should be paying off debt to the European Central Bank. They should have control over their own affairs, and they should have control of their own currency.
But here goes Britain again upset over Germany. The last couple times this happened, we had two unnecessary world wars that made the world safe for communism and profitable for the big bankers.
One reason for Germany's economic dominance is they still have manufacturing. What does Britain make anymore? They are a skeleton of what they once were. Plus much of Germany's economy, is composed of family-run mid-major companies that focus long term instead of being dictated by the results of the next quarter. Maybe Britain should take hint. But on another note, we could be making Germany pay for their own military, instead of still having bases there.
And as far as the power vacuum that Merkel is filling, she is simply using her position to protect the German taxpayer from bailing out the rest of Europe.
Germany is an easy target because of their history. But let us not be so easily distracted. We know who runs the EU behinds the scenes, and it's not Germany. C'mon, who's in charge of the money? We've figured this out already.
Nigel, I really don't know much about you, but that was one brave and courageous act you just did...coming from an elected official too.
WOW...I wish I could hear more elected representatives give such a passionate speech.
I enjoyed the scolding you gave to those responsible...That's what a true Patriot does, expose the dirty deeds of the scoundrels of society.
Outstanding...I wish I could vote for you man.
Great Job.
but this is at least a year old (although I could watch old Farage speeches all day long!). The bald German who’s heckling Farage is now speaker of the Parliament (!).
I wish we had someone like him in our govt...this is the type of truth teller we need to call out everyone in our govt. stop the politics and just let the dog off its leash...
The Bank of England helped take us over in 1913 and has helped control us ever since.
I'm getting to the point where I can't stand to hear a British accent anymore.
England is a nation of socialists of the highest order with tax rates to prove it.
The Dumb-Ass Piers Morgan had the NERVE to call Jesse Ventura naive TO HIS FACE a couple months ago on his show.
WHY the HELL did a Brit take over the Larry King show in the first place?
Just listen to Morgan's socialist views and realize that England is NOT REALLY OUR FRIEND.
They want to continue to take down the U.S. and they are succeeding.
In conclusion, the REASON Europe is percieved to be living under "German domination" (which is a lie anyway), is because Germany is having to bail out all those lazy European countries.
Germany is the hardest working nation in Europe, and they screwed up big-time by joining the EU in the first place.
Now they are learning the lesson of how socialism makes everyone equal - EQUALLY POOR!

in the late 80's, employers were complaining that they couldn't get anything accomplished because the government required so many paid vacations for employees. In addition to that, the number of hours worked per week was shrinking rapidly (it was 37 1/2, and scheduled to drop to 32 in the immediate future), but the employer had to pay the same amount. It's because the Germans didn't want to work hard! The Germans might be the hardest workers in Europe, but that isn't saying much.

There was a study where they tested how hard people in Germany worked, and the youngest kids tended to work harder and better than the adults. I have to wonder if something has been draining the industriousness out of the people there. Maybe something to do with the nanny-ness of the government? A lot of people are exempt from work if they have a slight issue like anxiety or nervousness, the government gives them income for doing nothing even when they are able to work. But yeah, it's not as bad there as in other places in Europe; When my dad was talking to a Greek in Germany, they said they wanted to go back to Greece because they wouldn't have to work so much, and could sleep in Greece.
As Ron Paul has been the lone voice crying in the wilderness Nigels echoes his in the EU.
15 min video and you will do a 180 and change your mind. Me I don't care what his accent is the truth that comes from this man is non-stop and unmistakable.
Saying you cannot trust a whole group based on one or two. That'd be like me seeing Michael Moore and saying "cant trust those socialist Americans"
I'm British and I can't stand Pierce Morgen, his voice or his views. I far more admire your Constitution and your founders and founding principles more than half your politicians do. I love what you guys in the Liberty movement are doing.
The Germans foot the bill because of that they have more bargaining power... They also have the largest population and more voters.
Also "a British accent" would include Scottish and Welsh and the many many regional accents...
Farage is way better than almost all British politicians as he is way better than most American politicians.
There are many good people over there they just suffer from propaganda to a greater degree than even America or Australia.
It has been well documented that their top universities were breeding grounds for communist sympathisers who then came to occupy top positions in many areas of influence (even to the top of their version of the CIA).
Read Spycatcher a book by an insider about this.
Although you do make many good points I had to vote you down for washing your hands of the average Brit they are great people who are starting to wake up.

Nigel Farage is Ron Paul on steroids.
He is so outspoken about this tyranny that, like Ron Paul, I worry about his safety.
Don't worry
They already tried to kill him when his plane crashed, but he survived. He isn't going anywhere. :)
