This is run by the Heritage Foundation.
I know nothing about this group, except that they are supporting the four congressmen who Boehner booted from the committees.

Who is this Herigtage Foundation and why is Demint quiting to

join them? How powerful are they? More than a senator? Why would Demint leave the senate to join them? Is there a shake up about to happen? What's going on here?

I read on my local

radio station's 'news' reel this morning that our venerable Rep Marlin Stutzman (R)-IN (Mark Souder replacement-flunky) is now an appointee to the House Financial Services Comittee, and has asserted he'll use his appointment to "help end what he called the era of bailouts and over-regulation". (ROFLMAO) What he'll "do" is whatever Boehner and the establishment GOP tell him to do. He's good with the (D) vs (R) Kabuki Theater schtick.

I was just on the show!

Thanks for the tip!

Letter through Istook

Boehner needs to be removed as Speaker of the House. Voters elected the four Congressmen being booted from committees because they were tired of the status quo, and wanted government brought back toward Constitutional levels. So do many other Americans who are not being represented so well by their Congressmen.

To remove them from committees just because they will not cow-tow to the pressure, and cave in on their small government principles is reprehensible. They were elected to represent the people, which they have. They are holding of the traditional principles of the GOP, yet are being removed form the positions they once held.

Have we become the DNC clone? What is the real difference between the two parties any more? The Boehner budget is a *mere" 44 Trillion, while the Obama budget is a *staggering* 45 Trillion. The difference may seem staggering to government officials, but it is a drop in the bucket to the constituents. And we will be the ones who pay for it, while Congress continues to give itself raises.

Is it time for the disenfranchised in both parties to join together and form a new party or join a current one? Or can the GOP return to its core values?

I recall hearing that the reason they were removed

was because of dem/rep proportioning. More Dems in the Senate, proportionally more on the committe, etc...

Boehner wants to boot those 4 off committees because

they were the only ones talking any sense and he is trying to not look like the TOTAL idiot he is.

It's very easy to save over $1tn of annual government WASTE.

The politicians are inflating the numbers (quelle surprise they inflate everything else) by projecting them over 10 years.

Why doesn't Boehner want to save over TEN TRILLION DOLLARS of government waste?

Democratic 10 year spending plan: $45 trillion.
GOP establishment 10 year spending plan: $44 trillion.

And they wonder why we don't think there is any difference between the two main extremist parties.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Just who is calling the shots in the Republican party?

Justin Amash is in my district and I resent this action on the part of the Republican party to disenfranchise my representative. Who in the Republican party is responsible for this? Anyone know?

Boehner makes the final decision

you should call him.

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." George Washington

That is correct, he appears to make the final decision, however

He does not make any decision in a vacuum, I would like to know who or what is calling the shots. Boehner is just the messenger.

That's an easy question

And the answer is:

The Democrats.

Spread it.

Let the constituents know.
