Tom Davis is not interested in DeMint's seat and probably won't run in '14

South Carolina state Sen. Tom Davis (R) doesn't want to replace Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.).

"I've gone ahead and told the governor's office I'm not interested. I've put so much work into the 2013 legislative session, I couldn't in good conscience walk away from that," he told The Hill on Thursday. "To make Gov. Haley's job an iota easier, I just called to let them know."

While many have speculated that he's interested in running against Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) in 2014, he told The Hill on Wednesday that he "probably won't."

I'm not as crazy about him as I am about Tom Davis, but I support him.
