5 Reasons We May Live in a Multiverse

The universe we live in may not be the only one out there. In fact, our universe could be just one of an infinite number of universes making up a "multiverse."

Though the concept may stretch credulity, there's good physics behind it. And there's not just one way to get to a multiverse — numerous physics theories independently point to such a conclusion. In fact, some experts think the existence of hidden universes is more likely than not.

Here are the five most plausible scientific theories suggesting we live in a multiverse:

hyper dimensional euclidean

hyper dimensional euclidean space is a really fun concept to think about.

I personally find the idea of extradimensional space very intriguing in a sense that there is a 4th dimension we cannot perceive being 3 dimensional beings (and having a 2 dimensional vision capacity).

Its also intriguing to think about the possibility that an infinite number of outcomes of all our behaviors and actions are completely different at any given time (requiring many multiple dimensions to fully 'observe' which would blow our minds just trying to conceive).

IMO it seems silly to think that this element we know as time really only has 1 dimension and 1 direction. If time was truly one dimensional, it would stand to reason (to me) that all that is in this existence is predetermined and can be calculated and predicted. For all the religion folks who would argue that this is obvious, that would suggest none of your actions were of your own willpower and therefore you could not be held accountable for them. It would seem more logical that time itself is either multidimensional, or that our perception of what 'time' is, is in fact an artifact/illusion of our limited capacity of perception of extra dimensional space.

I was thinking of some fun induction the other day while i got my brain rolling on this particular topic.

if you were a 1 dimensional being in a 1 dimensional space, the only manner for you to travel in the next dimension (2 dimensional travel) would be to bend the entire dimension of existence. It would still appear as though it only took a straight 'tunnel' to get there however.

If you were a 2 dimensional being stuck on a plane, in order to travel in the 3rd dimension, again youd have to bend the plane of existence you were stuck on to do so. of course all you would be able to percieve is still just a cross-sectional vision in either case.

If we as 3 dimensional beings could travel through a 4th dimension, it stands to reason one would have to bend what we know as space/time to do it. of course wed never actually know what the 4th dimension would look like even if we were traveling through it, as the limits to our visual perception is planar.

Multiverse Theory

I am a believer of the multverse theory, though it is not known whether it will ever be proven.

Years ago I was interested in EPR paradox... conjugate variables, where technology might permit instantaneous communication methods to prove beyond the bounds of our universe. It is considered doubtful at this time.

Well, there is strong interest in quantum encryption [communication], but as NASA is working on 'other things', so is this, beside the cause for truth and knowledge.

Each day I am happier appreciating the simple things in life, and leaving the heavens to my colorful and vivid imagination.

An interesting idea

I'd like to think there's at least one reality out there where Ron Paul became president.

Always liked that show. A bit corny sometimes, but fun to think about.
