Fans of Republican Congressman Ron Paul suffered another defeat in their quest for acceptance in the GOP this week, with House Speaker John Boehner's decision to remove four libertarian-friendly Republican Congressmen from top congressional committees.

The "purge" — which removed freshmen Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Walter Jones (R-NC), and David Schweikert (R-AZ) from the House Budget and Banking Committees — sparked outrage among movement conservatives, who interpreted the action as a "warning" for other Republican members to fall in line with a deal that would raise taxes.

Nowhere has the criticism been more biting than among members of the so-called "Liberty Movement," the cottage political industry and grassroots networks spawned by Ron Paul and his disciples.

Boehner Head

Let them continue to make these mistakes. These are the last gasps of a dead party. The GOP is convulsing and an out in the open purge like this is a last gasp effort to try and control an agenda that has NO PUBLIC SUPPORT amongst true conservatives.
These fakes in power may win these petty battles for now but we are the future and we will win the war.

TRUE! The estabs are losing

TRUE! The estabs are losing support from main stream Pubs. I am a member of a Conservative forum and many estab Pubs are leaving the party...yes, indeed, many whom had always been GOP bucket carriers, have, since the election, turned on the Republican leadership. They are PISSED...and well they should be.

We are slowly winning the war of ideas...

Time for a real 'Purge' ...of

Time for a real 'Purge' ...of Boehner and his buddies.

I really need

I really need to have a talk with Michael. Everytime there is an important post that I want to vote up ten times, the button limits me to one.

Ron Paul Fans might think that

Ron Paul RepubliCANs, think it's just more proof of the work that is in front of us. This is what we need to bring up in committee, not as a protest, but as an example of the party losing it's way. They expect us to protest..so instead of protesting, we need to educate them.

Now that Ron Paul is out, they will team up to run Rand ragged, while apparently continuing their effort to remove us from our seats, committees and offices.

Maybe one day grassroots will find the heart, brain and guts to go to committee meetings and educate them?

Roberts Rules

The first order of business:

How to prevent the Ron Paul republiCANS from voluntarily leaving the seats that they already have. QUIT QUITTING.

Ron Paul is right. We must take over all parties, everywhere, and the hearts and minds of all people, including democrat. However, it is imperative to not leave the Republican party, for that is the ground of the true conservative.

It isn't 1 year before election, folks. It is 4 years before that we must prepare.

Not all parties: divided we fall

The GOP is a facade and we're on to them.. and that's why we're being purged..did you hear the shift interview of Rand.. hear what Rand says at 2:20, when he discribes the GOP.. they want to be a small club and we're not in it.. they wanted Obama.

There's only a few of them, there are way too many Democrats, and it would be good to actually not look like a Democrat, but to stand for something, fight for liberty.. the GOP is exactly where this fight should be.. we should get these suckers.. and then go for the Democrats.. I promise you, the Democrats will help the Neocons against us.. saying ALL parties just makes things too complicated and confusing.. you saw all the psy-op BS on DP during the election..

From your perspective

From your perspective you are right. From my perspective, I am also right.

I have made some inroads here that I plan on continuing, as well as within the republican party.

You are also correct, what Rand says at 2:20 is key.

"Disciples"

Sorry, but if I weren't already a libertarian, I would not have met and followed Ron Paul, or heard he was running (since I don't follow the GOP or politics in general except through libertarian circles) in 2008.

I guess you could call me a "Ron Paul ally and supporter."

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Yeah

It seems like a lot of people don't understand (or pretend not to) the difference between supporting ideas a person presents & represents and worshiping a person blindly.
