The results have changed since I made my comment, but not by very much.

With only 144 total votes cast, this old poll is useless.

Maybe this new one is useless also, but at least there are nearly ten times the number of people voting.

Old? It was created

Old? It was created yesterday. The RPF is a lot less active than the DP, but the poll is certainly relevant.

Sorry, my mistake. I read: You may not vote on this poll

I took that to mean that the voting has closed. Yet, the numbers have increased from a few hours ago. I see now that registering is required. I missed that. Again, sorry.

Don't know about others but if this was created

in a section devoted to Rand.. that could explain why it's so one sided. Here it's probably a better representation as to what people are thinking..

The false Libertarians who did not become Republican delegates..

The false Libertarians who did not become Republican delegates (most of that 55% ) did not really support Ron Paul either. They cheered for him but they never crossed over to actually become Republicans and stand with us.

In this respect Rand Paul has not lost much support. He will get the support from most of us who actually believe we can impact the Republican Party and take it back from the establishment.

2014 and then 2016 will be our next big test.

Maybe some of you will actually give-up on the failed Libertarian Party by then and decide to come join us.

Maybe by then you will have realized that Rand Paul has a better "Liberty" voting record than both of your last two hopeless/worthless candidates... Gary Johnson and Bob Barr ...barf.

.

How About taking Down the Straw Man...

...and realizing that for some of us, 'party' does not matter.

Speaking to clarify my stance, I simply and consistently use the yardstick of the Constitution and the Principles of Individualism and Individual Liberty, to measure any candidate who vies for elected office.

I could give a warm-shit what 'party' they attempt to use as a vehicle to reach that goal, albeit I have never seen a democrat measure up and damn few republicans either.

It seems to this simple old country-boy, that those who focus on 'party' are certain to adopt elements of that party-paradigm and that they are certain to rationalize & justify, in some measure, not only why they are part of the particular 'party', but also to rationalize, justify and make excuses for the actions of certain 'party' candidates who quite simply do not measure up to the only reliable yardstick available to a principled voter, that being advocacy and adherence to the Constitution itself and to the Principles of Individualism and Individual Liberty.

And so it goes...

True libertarians won't willingly become republicans any longer.

Only the false ones will, IMO. The Ron Paul supporters in the Republican Party were unceremoniously thrown-out of their respective state delegations at the state level. The ones that did make it through that miserable process were either unceremoniously thrown-out out in Tampa or an illegal rules change made their presence in Tampa irrelevant. With the rule changes currently in place, any delegate can be unilaterally stripped of their credentials and removed by the leadership at any time without due process.

You have no proof of what you're saying

in regards to your first lines.. I'm pretty sure God doesn't like lying.

Yes I would.

Yes I would.

Way too early for me to make this kind of call

Things are going to change between now and then. Probably new people will show up, and familiar faces will leave. We don't know how well Rand Paul will hold up, or what the field of presidential candidates for 2016 will be.

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

YES, IF...

and ONLY if , Ron Paul or Judge Nappi. are on the ticket as well.

Who

will Ron Paul support ? ;)...Oh my, what WILL the Hacks do then...lol

WHEN

will everyone EVER get it through their heads that voting for anyone isn't the answer? Didn't this year teach you anything? Think outside the "election" box! THE ELECTIONS ARE RIGGED!!!!!!! Move on to a different paradigm! We have to change things one person at a time. End of story!

skippy

Depends

It would seriously depend who is running, there are a few candidates I could get behind. Rand or Jim Demint I could support if they were the nominee, or possibly in the primaries. However, if "The Judge" runs as a republican, I would support him over all others, except Ron Paul. If the party picks someone who is an uber social conservative or a moderate like Christie or a hypocrite like Ryan/Rubio I would support the Libertarian or Constitution party.

Do not spend

all your energy on thinking that government is the solution. Or a politician will be a savior. Or using force against the majority is the right thing to do in order to restore free society. All that is Utopia.

The topic we shy to discuss is why RP message of liberty does not sell well on its own strength but only because of bad economy. How can we reverse that? Then an individual personality, character and charisma of a politician wont be an issue.

I'm supporting Rand for 2016 for now

I don't expect it to change.

Ron Paul 2016

Ron Paul 2016

Who else is there?

...Perhaps some disgruntled Marine or other service member will run? :)

If Hillary runs, I think lots of people should sit this one out.

I think she will win no matter who they put up against her.

ewwww

yup...Doomed!

Doomed... and we deserve it.

We have gone so astray nothing will save this nation barring a complete shake up.

Fat chance at that.

You cannot purchase this at Wall-Mart!

MSM will describe the problems, but will censor the solutions.

Anyone still thinking Revolution?

my new bumper sticker...

...says "Ron Paul 2016 -- maybe you'll listen now..."

I guess it depends on

who else is running? Probably not though.

if Rand helps neuter the presidency first

Then fine. I don't think he will.

Many are so focused on winning a presidency they accept the usurped powers of the office.

If Rand wants to be president with these powers...beware.

Who that has a chance of winning in 2016

Who that has a chance of winning in 2016 would be less likely to abuse the new powers of the office? Other than Judge Nap, which I'm not convinced would have as good a chance as Dr. Paul at winning the Republican nomination, whom am I to support?
