Since when is Glenn Beck a libertarian?

Since when is Glenn Beck a libertarian? Is he now embracing the very ideas he called Ron Paul 'kooky' for having? It's odd how he suddenly changes his approach after witnessing the popularity of the Liberty movement. Has he woken up from his slumber, or is he only in it for the ratings? Tell me what you think after watching this video!

Glenn Beck has always been all over the map. One day he is this way, the other is that. Just recently he was excoriating libertarians for threatening Mitt Romney's presidential prospects by writing in Ron Paul, voting Gary Johnson, abstaining altogether - i.e. not doing our patriotic duty and voting for the chosen Republican.

My impression is that, on the whole, he is more a part of the problem than the solution. He has the right instincts at times, but often suppresses them.

"Yesterday we obeyed kings and bent our necks before emperors, but today we kneel only to truth." - Kahlil Gibran

My honest opinion…

I think that he is as far away from libertarianism as he could possibly be. He is a dry drunk, he is pro-war, he is a christian-Zionist. He believes that war is the answer to every problem. This man is as trustworthy as rush limbaugh and sean hannity.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

has nothing to do with advocating the war. Zionism, although it has different forms (religious, secular, etc) used to focus on establishing of a separate state for Jewish people (although the location was disputed between Zionists themselves.)

After Israel had been created in 1948, being a Zionist means supporting the existense of state of Israel as opposed to Fatah and Hamas whose political charters do not recognize Israel's right to exist. If one uses his head, removing mental anxiety and emotions, one can see that Obama is a Zionist, Romney is a Zionist, Ron Paul is a Zionist, etc. Socialists and other groups like to instill extra meaning into words to promote or mask their personal agenda. That is the reason of confusion.

next question.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

That label will be applied to everyone now

to a point that it won't carry any real weight.. That is the idea after all of a co-opt.

Take a look at Gary and now Rand.. The word has been used for them as well.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

He's not. He believes in increasing his own personal wealth.

And he does this by trying to co-opt our message. That is all.

He claims to be one every 3 or 4 months...depending

on what story he's hyping. Sometimes he's GOP...sometimes Mormon...sometimes a happy member of AA....the list goes on.

He's been calling himself a

He's been calling himself a libertarian for years now.

Pull my finger Glenn!!!

He's come out as our enemy many times

Suggesting we're terrorists, calling RP a cook, he's the foil with which the Foxnews/establishment co-opted the tea party movement and you'll never hear him take one of our positions without misdirecting it, watering it down, leading the sheep back into the fold.

Worse, the man can't change. He's pathological. The man is not in control of his emotions, his mind or his body. He's a highly addictive and manic personality. Don't trust him to tell the truth, don't trust him to mind the kids, don't trust him to pick up lunch from the deli.

Only the financial ideas. He is still sporting a raging hard on to nuke Iran.

That sounds pretty libertarian to me.

He has been libertarian

ever since crap didn't stink, the FED helped the economy and central planning was a success.

for 15 mil a year

he can be anything his 'employers' want him to be.

I'm 100% certain

that it's for the ratings..but he may have had a slight change in his thinking, but he still will dog Ron Paul supporters.
