Anyone see Jamie Foxx on SNL? Is this how black people are going to act during the second term?

http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/jamie-foxx-mono...

Things are changing too radically for me. I can't deal with what's acceptable as comedic entertainment anymore. My generation wanted peace, health, music, creativity - at least I think they did. Even when the riots were going on in Watts, my generation got along fine with blacks. I thought as time went on, the racial barriers would be erased. It hasn't happened. I truly believe that black Americans don't want the barriers to go away.

Last night I watched Saturday Night Live, and now today, this monologue is mostly getting praise. I thought it was absolutely disgusting. If a white artist had done a similar monologue, his/her career would be over.

If Obombem's second term means trash like this from the black community is okay, then race relations are toast.

Hmmmm, you take a comedian skit and ask "Is this how Black people are going to act during his 2nd term." Well we see how White people are acting, giving us False Flags, GMO's, The Surveillance Grid, Wars, Famine, Vaccines, Voter Fraud, Genocide, Drones, Fluoride & Toxic Waste in the Water and Food, Institutionalized Pedophilia, Slavery, Worldwide Worship of Pagan Rituals, Jailing enmasse non-violent people, Fractional Reserve Banking,....I could go on....

Black people are not part of the power structure of society. The title of your post irritates me. (But I'm not mad!) Black people are more open to learning about these things mentioned above, than I think the average white person, and know something is inherently wrong in society. More apt to take the Red Pill than others. I talk to my family & friends and ask them what they like about Obama. It's all personality based and the fact that they view his ascendancy to the POTUS as something to be proud of. But when u start delving deeper into what he as actually done for THEM, they quickly change their belief system, much quicker than some, let's say Non-Blacks, who grew up on John Wayne and Leave it to Beaver. Jamie Foxx would do himself a favor listening to what other Black people have said about Obama, like Minister Farrakahn, or Cornel West. I love Obama as a Black Man, a person...love his family. I hate his politics and the direction he's taking us...just like all the other POTUS's back to JFK. He's a NWO stooge just like all the rest and this Black Man knows it....and I try to spread the word to my brethren as often as possible. Me and TMOT know what's crackin!!! I recently watched a video of a Black dude here on the DP asking what Obama has done fore them...was pretty good. I mention those points he made all the time...

Thanks Tuskeegee

Your posts are very reasoned and great to read. There is a lot of sense in what you are saying. Keep posting.

Lord Acton, Lord Chief Justice of England, 1875 - "The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the People v. The Banks."

Average white person?

Like Obama, why are you stereotyping us?

The personality vs ideology

"It's all personality based and the fact that they view his ascendancy to the POTUS as something to be proud of."

This is something I've thought about quite a bit. From the start I thought the right's attacks on Obama as a person/alien/other were all wrong. It should have always been about the larger Progressive Democrat ideology that should have been attacked. Not a personalized thing. I could not care less what he or Michelle Obama do--they should be made irrelevent due to their flat-earth economic and political ideology.

It is late now and I can't remember exactly how it goes, but I seem to remember a strategy in England after WWII, when Churchill's challenger Clement Atlee adopted the slogan 'Cheer Winston:Vote Labour', he won the election, against all expectation. In other words, the Labour party acknowledged Churchill's popularity and people's strong emotion toward him, and let them still feel that way even while voting against him.

This was better explained by Robin Koerner last year:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robin-koerner/ron-paul-can-win...

Anyway, this should always have been the strategy IMO

Was it really that bad?

Judging from the way people were talking I was expecting this to be about 20x worse.

While these kinds of jokes aren't my cup of tea, I don't see what the big deal is. People are saying how bad it would be if a white person came on stage and said the same thing. Maybe- actually I can definitely imagine most of those lines being said by a white comedian. I mean, there are more offensive things said about black people on South Park, Family Guy, etc., and those shows are written by white people.

Achem `

` <<< If there was a single character that I had to choose in response to this ridiculously embarrassing post for the the DP, then that character would represent it. No not a comma, not a period, not a pound, but a grave accent. That key right under ESC. Uncharacteristic of OP's history of course...

Who is Jamie Fox anyways?

-quiet engineer

I don't get it...

Foxx seems to me to be making fun of both black and white stereotypes. SNL intro monologues are highly scripted. It's comedy and SNL has a history of being politically and socially edgy.

I'm not getting it... :)

.
~wobbles but doesn't fall down~

"I killed every white person

"I killed every white person in the movie... that's good."
(laughter)

Now switch fox to a white man and switch white person with any other race, and see how many laughs it gets.

If you watched the whole episode though, you will have noticed a very racist skit on the Japanese, but there is no thread on the DP about how racist that Japanese skit was.

Thanks for the info. Well, that's the thing

Thanks for the info. Well, that's the thing :

I couldn't watch till the end. Too despicably tasteless. So, I missed the Japanese part. Very sweet, Jamie : even better from you, now I know !

Should I mention my father (and entire family side) is black ?

Jamie Foxx = Obama servile Celeb. Or just ... making a good buck, whatever it takes.

NOT FUNNY YOU, Foxxxxxx.

I

don't like the headline of your post, but I didn't like JF's monologue either.

I absolutely love Quentin Tarrantino flicks, and have been looking forward for months to Django Unchained. Now it's ruined.

With JF's 'Lord and Savior' comment, and now this nonsense, I won't give him my $10.50.

When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign: that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. ~J. Swift

I think you're

a little too sensitive. In my opinion comedy should be edgy, at least some comedy. Celebrate diversity. There's a little something out there for everyone to get a laugh. Here's an opportunity for you to strengthen your tolerance, a thing that our country and world need a whole lot more of. If you dislike it don't watch it. I'm not sure why you connect his behavior to President Obama. A little racist perhaps? Are white presidents the enablers of "distasteful" performances of white comedians in your mind?

When is a person's character going to become more important...

than skin color? I saw more blatant racism practiced by BOTH sides during this presidential campaign than any campaign since 1948. At that time, lynching was a generally accepted practice in the Deep South. Twenty years ago, "The Bodyguard" scared film producers so much they downplayed the Kevin Costner/Witney Houston relationship. Now, practically every prime time show has at least one interracial couple and many have homosexual couples. That is progress, my friends; please, let us not say anything to muck it up.

Unlike others, I do not downvote posts; I simply ask that you measure your words carefully before expressing them.

Same here

Same here. And extremely rare I even downvote comments.

I find odd that my "Unite" one below was downvoted, but meh...

Unite

HIS resentful, tasteless, rather despicable INDIVIDUAL performance does not represent "black people".

No more than I represent all cheese eaters.

The trap is to fall in all encompassing intolerance. Granted, HIS performance appeals for it. I, for one, find it very bad taste anyway. Bear with me.

So, WATCH OUT for the path to JARS AND LABELS of people.

The free, tolerant American People need to unite, not divide itself.

We know BETTER than skin color divisions or levels of wages', or etc.

Peace.

Yes, I agree that, even

Yes, I agree that, even though the JF comments, and performance, reeks of black-on-white racism, it's not fair to assume EVERY black person shares that point of view, even though some, or even many, might.

That's how some individuals

That's how some individuals will act whether they're black or not. Quit being a racist.

Just another black comedian

exploiting their race. It's a sad way to make a career, he's done a lot, and is extremely talented, but dipping back into to this sort of comedy is pretty disgusting. IMO beneath him.

This is more prevalent in politics (much more). A double edged sword of sorts, while it's great to have black leaders, the message preached is not helpful and extremely divisive.

Why is there

anything great about having black leaders, why would you group people by color because that is what the racist Jamie Faux was doing so whoever this leader is you are making reference to there color should have nothing to do with it !!!

I didn't know Jamie Foxx had such a lovely singing voice

I didn't know Jamie Foxx had such a lovely singing voice, to tell you the truth. Absolutely beautiful.

And I expected much worse from him on the black thing.

Expect worse from black actors and commentators as we head into the next couple of years. Because poverty and vice are heading through the roof, especially among blacks and other minorities.

Foxx was right. The first half of Obama's presidency was his white half: his rich, fat white Wall Street Banker half, that is to say.

Obama's next term will be his black half: His incredibly corrupt, African dictator a la Mugabe Sese-Seko half.

The black middle class is hanging by a thread. During the Bush years, the number of black entrepreneurs skyrocketed to a record. But these businesses and the wealth they generated were hopelessly leveraged with subprime loans.

These have ceased since 2008, and the result are record numbers of failing black businesses. The only thing propping up the black middle class are government jobs. Blacks are very much overrepresented in the government, and these are the last source of good paying middle class salaries for blacks.

Obama will make cuts to the federal workforce in order to bail out Wall Street (that is, avoiding the fiscal cliff) and this will hit blacks harder than any other group.

They just don't see it coming.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Jamie Foxx seem to be a racist.

"Endless money forms the sinews of war." - Cicero, www.freedomshift.blogspot.com

"Is this how Black people are going to act during the second

term?"

No. This is how ONE man, who happens to be black, is acting. Last I checked, Black people did NOT elect Jamie Foxx as their representative. Just like MLK did not elevate every Black person to peaceful, intellectual status, Jamie Foxx does NOT do the opposite.

Like him or not, he is an entertainer. Some are entertained by wholesome goodness, others by conflict and gore. Either way, you make his monologue relevant on some level by even acknowledging it. By posting it here, you give the host site hits and traffic. Finally, by generalizing and ASSuming that all Black people feel the same way shows either an ignorance of individualism or an overt act of division on your own part.

Move past the race issue yourself before you expect others to do the same.

As if

a ton of black people didn't vote for Obama just because he was black. That's racist to acknowledge that? I guess dealing with reality is racist then.

Sure some did.

But that is not what we are discussing here. Also, I never suggested that the OP was being racist. I said either ignorant of individualism or intentionally divisive.

As far as who voted for whom and why, it is impossible to know intent of action unless it is expressed. You can make ASSumptions all you want, but they are worthless. Did some Black people vote for Obama because he is Black? Sure. Did some White people vote for him for the exact same reason? Probably. Did some White people vote for Romney just because he is White? Just as likely as your assertion. In the end, who cares? The vast majority made their decision based on either a lack of knowledge or willful ignorance of truth. On both sides. I'd be willing to bet that more than one person made their choice based on the results of a "Magic Eight Ball". Same result as many other ignorant choices.

People do not share a hive mind with others of like skin color. Millions of individuals made individual decisions for whatever reason, whether you agree with the methodology or the result, or not.

thats the point

Blacks have been colonized not to think as individuals. They vote like a cult even when the candidate is not black.

Could you possibly be

any more ignorant? How, exactly, were they "colonized"? So, they all believe in welfare? They all sell crack? They all carry guns? They all live in the ghetto? They all get their hair braided? They all sag their pants? Give me a break.

You should spend a little time getting to know your fellow man. And look up "Individualism".

Oh please

There was even an SNL sketch from not that long ago with a panel of black commentators discussing what Obama could possibly do to lose their vote and the conclusion they came to at the end was nothing. It was poking fun at how extremely loyal most of the black community is to Obama because of his race. You act like this is some crazy accusation that we just came up with, when the fact is that prominent black people in entertainment and the media openly talk about it all the time. It's not even a secret.

And it's not just because he's a democrat either. I remember in the 90's Chris Rock talked about how no republican president could ever have Colin Powell as their vice president (this was supposedly being considered at the time) because a black person would immediately kill that president so that Colin Powell would become president.
