Why Ron Paul Fans Are Especially Furious About John Boehner's Conservative 'Purge'

Fans of Republican Congressman Ron Paul suffered another defeat in their quest for acceptance in the GOP this week, with House Speaker John Boehner's decision to remove four libertarian-friendly Republican Congressmen from top congressional committees.

The "purge" — which removed freshmen Reps. Justin Amash (R-MI), Tim Huelskamp (R-KS), Walter Jones (R-NC), and David Schweikert (R-AZ) from the House Budget and Banking Committees — sparked outrage among movement conservatives, who interpreted the action as a "warning" for other Republican members to fall in line with a deal that would raise taxes.

Nowhere has the criticism been more biting than among members of the so-called "Liberty Movement," the cottage political industry and grassroots networks spawned by Ron Paul and his disciples.

Bless you stalwarts who still want to fight in the GOP

... personally I think you're nuts. Unfortunately I won't vote for any D's or R's again as long as I live, even if they are supposedly liberty folk. Think about it ... do you really want to throw away another four years in the two-faced party of fraud?

I'm glad Boehner did this.

I'm glad Boehner did this. Why you ask? The more people Boehner excludes from the GOP, the more likely it is for people like Boehner, McConnel, and all of those other establishment Republicans will get a taste of their own medicine and be ousted by their own party. I'm betting that for the next 4+ years there will be a purge in the party, but it will be for those who actually deserve it. Most real Republicans are getting tired of losing again and again and again, and the establishment GOP is responsible.

At the very least, maybe this

At the very least, maybe this will wake up the remaining few that still think John Boehner has a shred of conservatism. Or love of freedom, for that matter.

I suspect these liberty heroes--Justin Amash, Tim Huelskamp, Walter Jones, and David Schweikert--will wear this as a badge of honor.

Well I DID mention John Boehner and John Bolton...

...over and over I mentioned John Bolton who is a U.N. stooge and hateful anti-American who should be charged with treason against the United States.

But you're right about the rest you mentioned.

Sadly, we could go on with new additions to our lists deep into the night.

Sorry! :) I did not mean to imply Bolton and Boehner

were not mentioned, Just that I agreed with your assessment that Bolton is not mentioned enough as an opponent of liberty. (Neither is Boehner, for that matter)
