A GOP county committee member blames Ron Paul supporters for a failed election

So, get this:

Tonight, I went to a monthly meeting of the county GOP here in town. The conversation veered towards the topic about why "we" lost the election. One man spoke up and said, "the Ron Paul people didn't come out and vote".

Needless to say, I got pissed off and said, "you can't blame the Ron Paul supporters, blame the candidate! The Ron Paul people would have shown up in droves if the GOP had put up a true conservative candidate."

I think most people at the meeting agreed with me, but some of them blamed the loss on Mitt Romney's Mormon background.

Why the hell don't these people wake up and look in the mirror. The problem is right there in the reflection.

At least they are being truthful. The media is trying to analyze the problems of why Mittens didn't win and not once have they mentioned Ron Paul supporters or Gary Johnson voters.

It is not just RP people that didn't show up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not ever agree with them on that.

Mitt Romney Caused Many Not To Show Up!

Mitt Romney was an east coast liberal, creator of obamacare, anti-gun, anti-life, wealthy out-of-touch, big cultish jerk; a Rockefeller Republican and globalist.

What about that inspires anyone outside of said cult to go vote for him... to even make him their nominee.

Unless you are completely brainwashed by Fox News, even establishment Republicans know Romney was a man that left a bad nasty taste with them, even while singing his praises they cursed him.

Romney is like 1970's diet soda. Yucko!

It is not Ron Paul that caused Romney to lose. It was Romney.

It is not even the larger Tea Party that caused Romney to lose. It was Romney that caused many conservatives (up and down the ticket/ballot) to lose nationwide on election day.

It was Romney that defeated the Tea Party and it was Romney that caused all conservatives to be defeated; both before and after the general election.

The big jerk did not inspire anyone to waste gas on election day. And being that Romney was at the top of the ticket it was his job to get the vote out. He did not.

And that is not Ron Paul's fault nor is it your fault.

Lay the blame at the heels to whom it belongs. Do not accept, not for a moment, that you had something to do with it.

Romney and the Carl Rove Fox News machine that made him was wholly to blame.

Throw this back in their face when they shake their hypocritical fingers at you and at Ron Paul.

They were the ones who nominated a liberal to the head of the conservative party. Let everyone know it at your next county meeting. Call them out on it and shout the liars down.

from their (Romney camp) perspective

It is the fault of their programmers who failed miserably to steal the election. They lost at their own game!

I'm glad we could help.

And think - all we had to do was stay home. If all political statements were so easy...

I would love to take

credit for the loss of mittwitt and his Khazarian puppet masters however, mittwitt lost the popular vote and the electorial college vote by 33%. An ass whipping. Mittwitt lost 7 out of 8 of the battleground states.

Even if every RP supporter would have voted for mittwitt...he still would have lost. mittwitt was that effing bad.

If the GOP runs Jeb in 2016, Hillary will beat him even worse than mittwitt and McShame put together.

The NeoCons must go or the GOP will never win another presidential election.

Tell them they're right..

They lost because they drove away the Ron Paul voters with their dishonesty, trickery, breaking of the rules... and nominating a candidate that wasn't any different from his opponent.

... and if you ever want to win another election, you better start listening to them!

End media prejudice against Ron Paul in 2012.

That's what we're up against ... willful ignorance

"Why the hell don't these people wake up and look in the mirror. The problem is right there in the reflection."

I feel you. Thank you for standing.

But hey, as they say...

"To study and not think is a waste. To think and not study is dangerous." -- Confucius

I would have answered, "Not true; but, even if it were..."

that did not bother Mitt Romney's daddy when he and others in the GOP establishment helped defeat Barry Goldwater.

Blame the Victim

Right, blame Ron Paul for Mitt Romney's failure. Whatever happened to Republicans and all their talk about personal responsibility? Own up to your defeat, Romney. You blew what should have been a layup of a victory over one of the most vulnerable incumbent presidents in history.

The Republicans, as usual, nominated an utterly bland candidate who not only offends no one, but also appeals to no one. Romney was so statist on so many issues (central banking, taxation, war, regulation, healthcare, the environment, etc.) that he actually repelled Republicans - not libertarians, but plain old conservative Republicans. In terms the mainstream might understand, Romney was so moderate he was actually more "left" of center than "right" of center.

Good for you!

On a related note... what ever happened to personal accountability? They are sounding like a bunch of libs whining about how somebody else is to blame for their poor decisions.

You really can't fault people for KEEPING their word...

Ron Paul convert from the Heart of Dixie

Well, I'm a little more forward.

When republicans complain to me about romney not winning, I come right out and say: r3VOLution has spoken...maybe you'll listen now.

It usually turns into a conversation, which is what I aim for. People are thinking. Many are not on board yet, but things like this do take time. Not to say that there hasn't been success, I have brought others on board :-)

PS: I WANT them to know that we a factor. Otherwise we will be dismissed.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Does my heart good to know that he realized WE were the reason.

He's right - We WOULD have come out if our candidate had been nominated and I am plenty proud to have helped Romney lose without actually voting democrat.

Let the establishment wallow in their tears and realize how badly they screwed up.

Not that they'll do anything different anyway.

They never learn.
