Running Our Guy For L.A. County Gop Chair - Need Online Support

eleganz at RPF asked to have this mirrored on DP. He is one of our L.A. County GOP Central Committee members. In the last election cycle we took about 40% of the seats. Given that not all show up and some splinter, that is a good number to start with. In any event they are running this guy for Chair and want his youtube liked and spread around. I asked if they had any youtube in English, but he hasn't checked back yet, so I will post it as is.

Art lost -- by two votes

Vote was 74 for Mark Vafiades, 72 for Arturo. Lost by a squeaker -- ONE vote would have made it a tie. Too bad, but it shows a LOT of strength in the Liberty Caucus. Art DID win the position of 2nd Vice Chairman, and Liberty Caucus members took the positions of Treasurer, Asst. Treasurer, and Asst. Secretary, giving us a 4 to 3 majority on the 7 member board.

LA County is the largest in the United States with a population of around 10 million people. This would be a nice victory.

Art Alas is a Liberty Republican and was a Republican delegate pledged to Ron Paul-

2) OUTREACH : Let’s put the “serve” back into “Conservative.”

Most Republicans agree that we are missing out on the fastest growing electorate – Latinos. Half of the population in LA is Latino. A language other than English is spoken in over 55% of LA County households. We need to expand our message to include this segment. The Republican message can be delivered without compromise on the most controversial issue of immigration. Here in a local news report, I made the case that “we don’t have a dictator” in reference to President Obama subverting Constitutional law (www.youtube.com/watch?v=vboejdqXg2k#t=0m32s). Thankfully, our values of voluntary charity and civic service mean we aren’t dependent upon calling out the Democrats. The actions of RPLAC will speak louder than our words:

1. Promoting self-reliance, urban farming, and food freedom in L.A. County’s worst ‘food deserts.’
2. Organizing Constitution classes at local churches, service, and veteran organizations.
3. Holding Citizenship seminars to help residents and other inhabitants obtain American Citizenship if they wish to become an American.
4. Challenge Assembly Districts to offer $500 or $1000 scholarships to college students who write the most effective plan to implement constitutional government, individual rights, or free enterprise in their assembly district.

With a solid re-branded message, we can offer help to Angelinos who find themselves in a hole. We should offer assistance by giving a them a ladder instead of throwing a sandwich. A hand up, not a hand out.

Yeap, he's our guy. I was

Yeap, he's our guy. I was going to be at that meeting on the 15th but will be leaving for Armenia to be a part of my uncle's presidential campaign. He was the last exile of USSR and the only one in their history where he won elections while in exile and got pardoned by a ton of pressure from the world... I'm in for a ride of my life!! ;)

Oh, his name is Paruyr Hayrikyan

Awesome!

Awesome!

Very exciting - have fun!!!

Support?

Really? You want us to throw our support behind a guy we can't even understand? With all the tension and controversy in southern California about illegal immigration, latino gangs, taxes, Democrat control, you need to present whatever this guy is saying in English. And make sure his lip movement matches the words. He does speak English, right?

Art speaks perfect English

when he's talking to an audience of English-speakers. His fluency in Spanish is a GOOD thing in Southern California. The Hispanic population here is largely conservative, and having a fellow Hispanic as head of the RPLAC will be a good outreach. You have a problem with people smart enough to speak more than one language?

P.s. I WILL be one of the people voting for him tomorrow.

dabooda...

I have no problem with people speaking multiple languages. I believe it to be admirable, helpful, an indication of ability to learn & be versitile, as well as possily showing an interest in people of the world. Unfortunately, I do not speak Spanish, not fluently anyway. I would love to discover more candidates I could rally behind because of their approach to government and their beliefs in the U.S. people and our Constitution. To do that and in order to make my own evaluation (that's still allowed I believe), I would need to understand what the candidate is saying. Present it in English, as most of the U.S. people do speak English, and then ask for support. Thank you.

I don't really know him, but I know eleganz well enough

and we can't vote in any event, our people we voted in will do that, representing us, so we are just trying to make this 'viral' because apparently a lot of older folks there are pretty impressed when that happens and it gives a candidate credibility. At this point we are backing the choice of our people, who was also a Ron Paul delegate.

You couldn't figure out that

You couldn't figure out that it was a Spanish news channel? I don't quite understand why you feel the need to bag on someone who is probably the first Republican to be able to reach out to Spanish-speakers in Los Angeles. It sounds like you kind of want the GOP to follow standard operating procedure in LA- which hasn't worked in God knows how many decades.

By the way if you are still wondering what he said in the video, he called Obama a dictator.

GOP

standard operating procedure in LA? The GOP has had practically no influence, effect, say, votes or any other participating part that has made a difference in LA or California for that matter in decades! Of course I figured out it was a Spanish news channel. And I didn't bag on anyone. I don't know where this guy stands because he speaks in the language of someone from a foreign country. There is closed captioning on every English speaking channel that gives you a choice of languages from which to choose to have interpreted as well as sign language. Why not this one? Or how about the OP presenting it in the language of the country in which they want the message heard? If you want support, we need to understand what he is saying. I'm not of the Nancy Pelosi school of accepting something because I'm told to.

There is no official language

There is no official language of the United States. The founders did that for a reason.

You seem to be

one of those people who like to argue by putting words in the mouths of others. Nowhere did I say "official' when it comes to the U.S. language. BTW... what was said in the nomination letter was this:

"I made the case that “we don’t have a dictator” in reference to President Obama subverting Constitutional law."

Doesn't seem to have the same meaning as you stated.

"I don't know where this guy

"I don't know where this guy stands because he speaks in the language of someone from a foreign country."

Guess what language the words Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego are from? Are they not part of THIS country?

awesome work

It'd be good to clean up this post, or create a new post, and hopefully get this on the front page.

Thank you Political Action

for some real information I can understand.

sorry, I'll try to edit that in. Sometimes I can't make links
