If we're not occupying, then?

I am fascinated by what our government has turned into, along with the people profiting from these wars ....All in the name of God and of our dying troops everyday. What fascinates me the most is how they kept all of this a secret for so long! Wrongfully killing presidents (Kennedy, and an attempt on Reagan), all because they were against the "establishment".. Thankfully for Internet, a globally connected world ( in most cases if you know what I mean) and through social media and other means, people like you and I are able to finally see clear and make sense to what is really going on here.

It's easy to understand, once you open your mind up and let it think freely, and by that I mean real news and real information being taken in, in order to see clear. The Taliban is fighting to take opium out of Afghanistan while we give the people the resources, the protection, and the means to producing that plant in Afganistan, only for profit and launder money to fund terrorism and self interest groups. It's almost like a relationship, it's all a game. Not only that, when opium and other drugs become abundant in America who profits? DEA and government agencies... The truth is overwhelming when you learn how America and the globe is set up and controlled by a few.. When I first heard about the NWO I thought that it was just a bunch of non-sense, but then I came fully awake and believe me, I know what "awake" is. It is absolutely mind boggling to grasp at first, but life makes so much more sense when you learn the ends and outs of our government. Don't get me wrong when I say all government is corrupt, some are not. Most are only seeking a better life for their family, but nowadays it's hard to see through your sun glasses at night with all of the war propaganda and lies fogging you up in American society today. So I just assume they are all evil, because in a sense, they are..m. By representing themselves instead if the people, politicians have allowed our country, culture, and way of life to deteriorate. It has become my conclusion that Politicians "have to know" and be aware of what's going on behind doors or they are just as dumb as 70 percent of America's population, if you ask me. .

The hardest part of understanding and taking in all if the lies and deception we were fed over the past century, is getting people to believe your "extreme ideas". It sucks, but there's no turning back once you know what I know. It just makes you feel isolated and afraid of everyone thinking you are crazy. I haven't come accustomed to this new me yet since I am only 24, but I really hope people can find a way to wake up from the illusion that most of society still live in as we are forced and tricked into accepting the justification of killing innocent women and children, all in the name of god, fear, terrorism, honor, "promoting democracy" prestige, and economic colonialism. All I know is, someone will have to answer to this nonsense one day. Like history shows us, the people will always prevail in the end. You can have the best technology, army, the most money in the world, or even control the globe secretly for 100 years. The people will sooner or later to begin to wake up and re conquer those freedoms. The facts are all all around you. The government, along with VERY VERY rich interest groups are taking over every business, controlling the pharmacudical industry, drug war, banking industry, encouraging bad investments in housing market through false interest rates, automobile industry, expanding federal employees and promoting violence in America and other countries, etc..

As a Ron Paul fan, supporter, I understand how "the system" works. I agree with everything Paul stands for. I came to a crossroads when I was thinking the other day, about our involvement oversees and the thought of what we would do if Russia or China invaded Afganistsn, as Russia did in the 80's but left per our funding, creating, and supporting Alqueda to push them out of their country. Then later demonize Sadam, our old "asset", and put in place someone that could control that liquid gold and put the profits in the right hands. The facts are real and they are overwhelming.. The truth is, if we ever want lasting freedom and a trusting government, we can't allow them to expand CIA covert operations oversees, even if Russia is invading Iraq or Afganistan and killing innocent people, we can't aid another Taliban again, because sooner or later, those privileges will be misused, as it is today. What would happen if Ron Paul was elected and Russia invaded Iraq? Would we have to find another reason to go to war? I'm list here because the reality is, if we don't do it, then they will? I'm not sure which is worse, but both seem Pretty evil to me..

Lord help this country, the zombies living it, and bless the ones that are awake with faith, courage, discipline, and patience and confidence to spread the TRUTH.

We should be careful when we assume we are completely aware

What if we have only peeled back a few layers of the onion? What if the truth is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma? What if author Andrew Carrington Hitchcock is correct? What if author Eric Jon Phelps is correct? What if author Zacharia Sitchen is correct? Hell, what if it's David Icke that is correct? What if the correct book won't be written for another ten years? What if people, by design, don't use enough of their brains to even understand the truth?

It's a life long journey of learning and understanding, and hopefully we will come out if it all being fully aware.

Why do you believe that "the people" will prevail?

It seems to me that history teaches us the opposite. Every revolution seems to end up with the same gang being in charge. As has been noted elsewhere the American experiment has ended in failure. A closer examination of this experiment reveals that the seeds of failure were sown at the very beginning. As a result the powers who were running the show during colonial times have been pretty much in charge of America since at least the end of the Civil War and in effect even before that.

I do not say this to dampen anyone's enthusiasm or to introduce a spirit of apathy. It is simply to suggest that we look at the true situation of humanity in the world. The means sought to improve the lot of any particular grouping of people for the entire length of human history, about six thousand years, have generally been through wars, revolutions, invasions, subjugation of others, extirpating other peoples to secure resources and lebensraum and so on.

America is the top dog in the world at the moment and owes most of her wealth to monetary manipulation in addition to the aggression and neo-colonialism you have mentioned in the OP. (America has been the aggressor in about 500 conflicts, including the subjugation and extirpation of the native peoples, since her founding). The attitudes of other nations towards her are conditioned largely by their share of the spoils or lack of them. The same was true of Britain, where I live, for the prior two hundred or so years. These depredations have always been presented as somehow being morally permissible for whatever trumped up reason the aggressor could manufacture.

Politically the structure of most societies has been designed to keep the patrician classes in power with an occasional sacrifice from amongst their number to satisfy whatever gods they worship. The hierarchy in society is usually designed to provide the means to reward loyalty to the ruling classes and results in a large contingent of rent seekers of all descriptions whose primary occupation is to preserve the status quo which provides their bread and butter. These are the conservatives or right wing. Those who would like to see a little more of the spoils coming their way oppose the conservatives and engender support through persuading the people that they are hard done by and deserve a bigger slice of the pie. These are the liberals or left wing. They both have their origins in the ruling class who find this arrangement to be the most conducive to their maintaining power.

The political theorist James Burnham put it best I think when he said in his seminal work "The Managerial Revolution": "Any ideology expresses the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the masses and the aims of the ruling classes".

This being the case it should be clear to any thinking person that whatever the situation is today in the world it likely resembles pretty much what the situation was at any point in time throughout human history. Only individual circumstances would vary depending upon where God happened to ordain where and when one was born, lived and died. Perhaps it is these manifold individual variations that give us the idea that there is fundamental change taking place. In other words it is a mirage.

The ONLY real change taking place has been in the spiritual realm. Indeed the unchanging awfulness of the material realm has been the seed bed of this spiritual growth. This is the truth that has escaped the vast majority of those who have been born, lived and died on the Earth. While most have sought the mirage of ''change" in their material circumstances the small band of those who have sought the spiritual riches have actually prepared the way for the liberation of the entire human race in due time.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
