Like lemmings

in reverse. Gotta be a cartoon in that -- lemmings jumping in the water, squid jumping out.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker, more appropriate now than ever:

OH... have fun day :)

Squid Drowning? ....And All This Time I Though Sqid Could Swim

That's like saying that the polar bear are an endangered species because they cannot swim, meaning that Polar Bears never could swim or all of a sudden forgot to swim or unlearned something that comes natural to them...SWIMMING!

How many people have ever watched a polar Bear swim? They are excellent swimmers. .....AND BY THE WAY, THE POLAR BEAR POPULATION IS INCREASING..

More B.S. from the environmentalist wacos! They are either completely ignorant or just being political, as in politically correct...

just an attempt at humor
i know what you mean about the polar bears and such
there is a commercial on tv about how many wild cats
are left(i don't remember which ones)
but it shows babies and their parents,so i posed this question to our kids
if them cats were all stressed out from poaching, and constantly
being hunted into extinction,do you really think they would be having kids? or do you all think they would be too tired and stressed for that?
there answer was they would be tired, and them cats didn't look
tired but were actually playing around

Yea, sure..Ha!

I've lived on the pacific.....

All my life.

During that time I've seen this happen with: flys, bees, lobster, star fish, man-o-war, jellies, clams, sea urchins and crab.

Some of these creatures, by the millions.

I've seen the ebb line(?) (or the area where the foam resides) THICK orange with bees and thick black with flys. So thick you could scoop up hundreds with a simple pass of your hand (not that I recommend doing that).

Why does this happen? There probably is not just one reason. And it would be VERY hard for anyone to say for sure.

I envy anyone who lives . . .

by/near an ocean or any large body of water--

wow; just wow--

love water--

and have never lived on it--

Now I live closer to water than ever before, and it is wonderful--

but not an ocean--

the waves; the sound of the waves--

the sand--

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Live your Dream!

Others live it for you...

I'm afraid we're 'stuck' where we are . . .

for now--

but we visit the water whenever we can--
