Ron Paul speaking tour is $50,000 per engagement

I got pretty excited to hear that Ron was going to go on a speaking tour. I talked to a real great guy at Greater Talent network to ask him the rate to have RP come to our campus. After he asked me to sit down, he gave me the price: yep - $50,000.

He did say that was an initial rate and it could be negotiated later....the company is just putting out feelers for now.....

Wonder if we could have a speaking tour money bomb

Perhaps if you make the right arrangements

He will make a charitable donation of $50,000 to your school? Otherwise you may have to wait a couple years.

and where do you think ron paul is gonna put that money

hide under a mattress? put back into campaign for liberty? whose past strategies you may agree or disagree with, but ron paul is back at the steering wheel now. economy is not good so donation will dry up, but money has to come from somewhere. everything in politics costs money these days, including spreading the message. i hope we aren't getting the same kinds of 'libertarian' moochers again that bashed thomas woods for charging fees on his liberty classroom start-ups

Understand that I am a free market capitalist

When you read this. Seriously, I am writing my senior masters thesis on Austrian economics and Free market capitalism as found in economic dystopias (or more so not found in dystopias) so it almost pains me to say this, but maybe lowering the price a bit in the case of college campuses so we can get the young people involved would not be the worst idea ever? I know, I know, my fingers hurt while typing that, but we could really do some damage to the current political state if we garnered the young vote.

50k is a lowered price

50k is a lowered price compared to other speakers with far less popularity. Extremely lower.

Ok, well either way

I am just saying the college vote is a huge voting base and a completely attainable group of voters that could give the libertarian party a huge shot of adrenaline and scare the crap out of the GOP and the dems. Most college campuses are not putting up $50,000 for a speech. I just think it's a huge and major lost opportunity.

I would pay $5 to see him

I would pay $5 to see him speak at UCLA again. I think 9,999 people in LA would too.

of course you and I would

pay, we are not the ones who need to hear though are we?
