Change yourself, don't worry about what Rand is doing!

Hello Daily Paul, I'm as fired up as ever and I'm here to stay.

OK, this is a little bit of a response to those lame "goodbye" posts that show up here.

I'm as fired up about the liberty message as I've ever been. I don't give a rat's ass what people are saying about Rand or Ron or Boehner, or whatever.

I am doing my job in my town spreading the message of liberty. I have started to convert many people around me. They are hard-core libs, but they are starting to see the light. I have also hung up a national debt clock, and started a local liberty group on campus.

Two ways that can help put fire in your belly:

1) Read "the Market for Liberty" by Morris and Linda Tannehill

You can read it here for free:
http://freekeene.com/files/marketforliberty.pdf

2) Download some free liberty audiobooks on Itunes on your iphone. Type in "Mises Institute" as a search and you'll get a bunch of free audio books!

Come on now, spend this time grounding yourself in the message of liberty. We can gain some real traction in the next couple of years.

Change yourself, don't worry about what Rand is doing! Focus, focus, focus!

Embed yourself in the Republican Party and get ready for a fight

2014 and 2016 are just around the corner.

.

I've hit a plateau.

Before election I was able to draw in a certain number of democrats. It was difficult and no way could I bring up social issues. What worked was discussing obama's broken promises and promoting Ron Paul's solid positions on freedom, foreign invasions, tsa and things of that nature. They gravitated to his honesty and no-nonsense style. A few went further on their own and now understand and agree with sound money.

Now that election is over average people are done with politics until next election, they are complaicant and don't care. Average voting repubs are the same way.

One thing is for certain, no democrat that I've talk to will even consider Rand. Republicans like Rand, but for some reason the talk is christy in this area, probably because of tv and the recent storm :-(

I've been propping Justin Amash at guns shows, meetings, etc with warm response. I can't approach democrats yet until they become interested in discussing politics again, I hope to have a sheet made out less the social issues like I did with Ron.

So, if you have any suggestions, please share, I could use some. Meantime I am working local/state and just talking to the folks who are currently/always active in politics.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

You might try that book

The Market for Liberty gave me some vision for a new future, defined by liberty

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

See, this is where all sides of this movement can unite

because for the life of me I cannot get my Republican friends tuned in, but my Democrat friends are wide open to listening. Actually, just in time for the election I brought two over to our side! Either way though, you work on the republicans and gun show people, others of us can work on college students and democrats, and we can all spread the word together.

Good job

In my opinion, this is when we can really move. Don't talk politics, talk issues like taxation and inflation...

Taxation and Inflation

are important, but so is foreign policy. Most Americans are tired of all this war and bases all over the world. Democrats and Republicans alike, that is another common ground.
