A Law To Limit Total Amount Of Ammunition Is Needed

And such laws would not infringe on your gun-toting rights. VA Tech, Colorado movie theater, and now 18 children dead means we need to limit the amount of harm a person can do by just going down to your local Wal-Mart buying a 9mm and buying all he bullets you want.

Also, all you gun-toting crazies should not be allowed concealed carry. If you are going to excersize your right to bear arms, then do it so everybody else can see.

Do the men with guns and bullets.....

that come to enforce that law have a limit on how many bullets they have and how many of them there are?

ignorance is astounding. What is to prevent the person from going to SEVERAL walmarts and making smaller purchases, or even getting them on the black market? My guess is your answer will be less privacy and liberty for security.
As someone who is familiar with the concealed carry licencing process, I can assure you that there are extensive background checks and documentation that must be provided. One of the stipulations for being allowed to CC, is to NOT show your firearm to anyone in public, or allow it to be visible in any way. I'm fine with this. It keeps the criminals guessing. You only pull it out if you're going to use it.
Even though I don't think one should have to ask permission for what is an inherent right, I do however support the 10+ hours of "personal responsibility" education and training that is required with a license. It helps to prevent some idiot from harming themselves or someone else due to lack of experience and familiarity with a weapon.

One of those "gun toting crazies" just might save your ass one day when there aren't any cops around to protect you. I believe these "incidents" will become more frequent, and the need for a more armed and more informed society is the only remedy.
This whole "sheepdog" mentality where people expect the military, police, and lawmakers to look out for and protect them is part of the problem as well. Men have become pussified, and gladly relinquish any responsibility to protect themselves, their family, or their fellow man.
You have fallen into the mental trap they have set for you, and your idiotic response is a perfect example of what the rest of the lemmings will be saying. Let's hope your awakening is not as painful as the ones who learned the hard way.

Okay, let's review this...

You do know that one standard box of pistol ammunition is 50 rounds right? The disgusting people who commit these violent acts don't have to be "buying all the bullets they want." They can just buy one box and do all of this damage.

So you're solution is limiting people to buying, say, only 4 rounds of ammunition a month? Is that it? Well, if you have someone who is going to murder someone, that is still 4 potential deaths. Limit it to one round? That still is one potential death of an innocent person. Or maybe, they just save up each month until they have 100 rounds saved up. A lot of good those ammunition "limits" did, huh?

Say you take it to the extreme, and no one can buy ANY ammunition. Guess what? The crazy person who is intent on killing several people can buy as much ammo as he wants from some online forum/craigslist/back-alley gun show/etc.

Or maybe he chooses to just take his car into a playground and run down 60 children instead. Then he's even more dangerous than a man with a gun; because not only is he quicker, but now he's more protected, and he can kill even more individuals while fleeing the scene.

Now, with this mentality, you limit the amount of gasoline you can purchase - you don't want this guy to be able to drive enough to kill so many individuals. So now, he can only buy enough gasoline to travel one mile. Now, he can only murder those he reaches within this one mile driving-range. But he still pursues his disgusting intents, and innocent lives are still lost. Then, you ban gasoline all-together so he can't kill anyone in his car.

Now, do you see the several failures and shortcomings of that mindset and those "limits?"

All these gun grabbers exploit the situation called for more gun laws, but none have the cajones to suggest a repeal of the 2nd amendment, instead they would propose legislation in conflict with the 2nd amendment.

I Would Support A Law To Control The Weaponry Of The State

Who is in charge, the citizenry or the state?

The founders were pretty clear in stating "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government...."

How are the people supposed to exercise their right (a self-evident right, no less) to abolish the government, and institute a new government, if the government has the guns and not the people?

Per Ron Paul (CNN's GOP Presidential Forum, Columbia SC, 9/5/11): "We weren't supposed to have 100,000 federal bureaucrats who carry guns. The people are supposed to carry the guns, not the bureaucrats.":
