LIBOR connection debunked

"A false rumor spreading rapidly on fringe sites like Infowars and assorted Ron Paul messageboards ties the school murders to an existing hoax surrounding the Aurora, Colo. movie theater shooting. After that attack, conspiracy theorists fixated on the accused shooter’s father, Robert Holmes, pointing to media reports that he worked as an anti-fraud scientist for credit scoring company FICO."
“This rumor is 100% false,” a Senate Banking Committee aide, who asked not to be named, told TPM by email. “The Senate Banking Committee does not have any LIBOR hearings currently scheduled, and has never considered either of these men as potential witnesses.”

Big thanks to Stacey Herbert for chasing down the an actual source. Props to Max for taking his lumps and posting the truth:

Here is the youtube that is actually to blame for the Lanza rumor:

LIBOR & its scandal are centered in London.

LIBOR: London Inter-Bank Order Rate.If you view things from an American perspective, consider much of the world sees things from a different vantage point. For those that see things geographically, from New York view point, LIBOR & its scandal are centered across the pond...

Let me close with something attributed to me that I still know little about: The New York Times, May 29, 1901

Mr. Clemens, ... took up the matter of statistics in this wise:

"I have been as much impressed as has the chairman by Mr. Spencer's speech, and confused also. Statistics always have that effect. As they rise higher and higher to the sky, they become in the same proportion more and more inexplicable. I was glad when I heard it stated that Missouri had turned out 25,000,000 mules. [Roars of laughter.] It's from Missouri, and it is expected to be believed. When I was young and in Missouri, I could believe such things. It was a habit, but now that I have come to this grave part of the country, where the people rely largely upon truth, it is not to be expected."

I can concur that Sorcha Faal is a disinfo website because I debunked the story about the michigan militia being attacked by Obama by actually calling people in that area and asking them about it. Nobody heard "loud booms" or anything like that and they were plenty close to where the attacks were reported to be taking place.

I think Sorcha Faal is possibly a CIA test-bed to see what kind of garbage they can put out thru the "truth" movement that isn't actual truth.

Not saying there's no connection YET... still researching... also I have a confession to make I've been spreading this as well without an actual confirmation - so much stuff to run down... so little time.

As far as Max Keiser goes I still haven't forgiven him for not covering the 43 trillion bankster lawsuit (check my signature for link). For that reason I'm a bit suspicious that Max could be controlled opposition...

Let's also consider something else... even if this anon senator said this... doesn't make it true.

So while this put me back on the fence... It in no way officially can be said to be "debunked." If I'm missing something here fish please fill in the blanks.

Explain to me how this is credible debunking?

who asked not to be named

Is that the smoking gun? An anonymous source? Really???

Well, then at least it's keeping people narrow minded

Whatever the reason for these acts may be, they are surely used and manipulated to get us focused away from the big picture by confusing the details of these exploited tragedies.

Well, one thing is for sure:

There sure are a lot of people in today's world, that have a serious lack of calm, rational critical thinking.

More than 50% of the posts on any topic? Are either

I sure as hell would be praying to god that most of the people I've seen on the internet were not assigned to my jury.

Your post makes sense

There is very little middle ground. I grew up with an extreme conspiracy theorist for a Dad. I love and respect my Dad and he is still one of my favorite people to talk politics or state of the world with, but after 27 years of being told everything is a huge conspiracy I have to take it all with a grain of salt. Even if everything is a huge conspiracy... unfortunately there is not a lot we can do about it other than try to find the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. That is a hard thing to do though, so I think it is easier for some to just brush it off as not a conspiracy or for others to let things weave into such a huge mind blowing conspiracy they live in a constant state of paranoia.

Well, the real issue in life is ..

.. that the 'truth' - what actually happened, the real story - is almost always in between somewhere.

So people without the critical thinking to hang back and examine evidence - and automatically going to one extreme or the other - are flying blind.

And I am noticing that there are a *whole* lot of people more or less flying blind in recent years lol.

At either extreme, one is (pretty much) more or less clueless.

If you are in camp A) OR camp B) --- you are easy prey for all sorts of propaganda, dirty tricks, and straight up deliberate dis-information.

Who is saying "nothing is a conspiracy?"

I haven't heard that one, though there are certainly plenty of people who think everything is a conspiracy.

Get around online a bit, pay attention to article comments

There is a certain kind of individual that

A) Relies on 'mainstream', Big Corporate news outlets for all info, and

B) Takes everything they see and hear at face value, so

C) Anyone who comes up with additional or contradictory information to that narrative is a kook.

Hell, never mind comment sections. I have met plenty of these people.
Know them.

They scoff at anything that is not reported on Fox/CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/NYT/Time Magazine/Newsweek.

You don't know any of these people lol?

They're everywhere.

What matters is NOT believing the gov and msm

You don't have to believe the conspiracy to not believe the gov/msm.

File Sandy Hook under 9/11.

Good Write-In

There is no duration defined in the Oath

yea like I'm gonna believe

yea like I'm gonna believe the senate banking commitee

What if....

What if I told you I saw a purple unicorn, so you then go to the Senate Banking commitee and ask them if purple unicorns exist. Of course they'll say "No". So now, because you don't trust them, you start to believe that purple unicorns are real. If that sounds slightly stupid to you, then you'll understand why your last comment lends no logical support to this topic.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Your comment shows me how

Your comment shows me how naive you are.

I don't see....

how Sierras post said anything about believing the fathers were actually libor testifiers? He just implied he wouldn't believe the SBC.

I've heard your story before.

You guys always say the same thing. When your conspiracy is proven to have no merit, you say, "All I know is that the official story is crap." And when someone asks for more factual proof of your theory, you just point to every other thing that has ever happened such as the gulf of Tonkin, even though it has nothing to do with the current conspiracy. If you could even remotely show that the government did one bad thing one time, you think that is proof positive that they do every bad thing that ever happens, even though you have no proof. As for the official story being crap, do you guys even know how hard it is to dissect a crime scene, especially one this chaotic, where most of your witnesses are kids who don't know what the heck they are talking about. Then you have reporters who will report anything thing they hear without confirmation just because it's a big story and they need to get the news out fast. This thing has so many moving parts and so many unreliable witnesses, it is unlikey we will get the exacty picture of what happened, but I guess for you guys, that just gives you freedom to claim any random thing you want about it, regardless of any actual proof you have.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

a history of lies that resulted in the deaths of millions

doesn't matter to you?

How is it possible that this government and the msm has any clout with you.

Btw: i apply the same scrutiny to conspiracy stuff.

I don't recall saying they had any clout. However, believing everything you hear is just as dumb as believing nothing you hear. I'm just not inclined to pick either extreme. There just isn't any credible evidence on this to automatically convince me it's a conspiracy. Sometimes crazy people do crazy things and until I see some evidence that is complete crap, it looks like Sandy Hook was an example of that.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

There is little difference between us

Except perhaps that you require evidence to disprove something from the msm whereas I'm at the point where I don't believe them right off the bat.

Well said

but prepare for on onslaught on negative votes as most of the sane Ron Paul supporters have left and conspiracy sheep have taken over this site.

how many minutes before

"omg the zionists have gotten to Max too now!" posts?

My main conspiracy theory is people are posting fantastical theories so that the real conspiracies are guilty by association and not believed.

Can you tell the difference between a question and a theory?

I agree with you, although I do not agree that people should not ask "crazy" questions when we are a nation run by psychopaths.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Questions are fine, but what these people are doing is like asking George Bush where he was the night my tuna sandwich was stolen from the company fridge. I don't know him, he doesn't know me. There just isn't any logical reason to start the search for my sandwich with George Bush. If there was some evidence that implicated him, then sure, lets ask all the questions we want. But what you guys are doing is assuming the government is guilty, even though there is no logical evidence implicating them, then you try your hardests to find random connection which substantiate your baseless claim.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Regardless of LIBOR...

The movie theater shooting official story was all crap. The local TV stations interviewed the people from that theater...they all described canisters being lobbed from different corners giving credence to the multiple-perp scenerio. The "lone shooter" was wearing a mask and couldn't be identified. No mention of flaming orange hair in the police reports, and mostly, why didn't he kill himself like "normal" mass killers?
In CT, what happened to the guy in black who was caught running in the woods behind the school? What happened to the guy who was face-down on the firestation floor? Why was the original police statement that the kid had two 9mm handguns, then 18 hours later the corroner changed his story and said everyone died from a rifle? Can the police officers not tell the difference between and handgun and a rifle? And why the hell do they keep calling and AR an "assault rifle"? I looked at them closely in the gun store and not a single one had a little switch for full auto on it!!

Silence isn't always golden....sometimes it's yellow.

"The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them." - Patrick Henry

Those are very good questions!

And a better place to direct energy than an apparently dead-end LIBOR connection.
Add to the list: Where is the security camera footage? Are you telling me a school with a buzz-in security system does not also have any cameras anywhere on the campus?

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Of course...

This didn't play any part in the Libor scandal, GE Financial, bond rigging:

You sort of proved my point.

They were sentencing people in October. I cannot find anything that indicates there are hearings still going on. (Can you? I am not saying "there are no hearings" I am saying I keep finding things that indicate they are over. )
3 men were sentenced, and none of them are named "Lanza" or "Holmes." That does not mean they are not involved, it means if they were, they got away with it.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

I saw it here. Did they steal it from the DP'ers?

Answer: of course not stupid..
Oh wait.. I'm sorry, I didn't realize an unknown senate banking committee aide said this was'nt true. Sorry, sorry everyone.

There latest story I suppose is fake (fringy)too right?

This is about digging to the SOURCE of information. I am NOT claiming there is no connection between anyone or anything, i am saying THIS story has NO credible source. They all lead in a circle back to ONE youtuber. He posted his rumor one day promising sources the next day. The next day, he posted a list of people who picked up his video.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DELIBERATELY ENGAGE IN DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGNS. The fact that this un-sourced rumor spread like wildfire, and is now being ERRONEOUSLY linked to Ron Paul tells me something, apparently you don't read handwriting on walls?

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

And Fast-N-Furious is not related to gun control efforts either.

The government would never be involved is letting Americans die so to justify excessive government growth.

The government would never create a ponzi scheme out of the Federal Reserve System to endlessly sell bonds to itself to justify excessive government growth.

The government would never create gun free zones just to give crazed shooters easy targets; allto justify more government and steal guns from everyone who is not in government... all to justify excessive government growth.

No... it could never happen.

911 was not the government's fault. Right. They just let it happen. Because it did justify excessive government growth.
