I think we need to ban gun control laws that keep people from being able to protect themselves. ~ Pratt - Transcript

CNN now has a Brit heading the commentary section of their news to comment on American policies.. Nice class, CNN career short lived news executive.

Edit: He is now talking to his CNN lackeys to choir up and feel better.. and he is actually examining the 2nd Amendment on a piece of paper, EXAMINING whether it can tweaked.. unbelievable

Now THAT ...

... is a man who understands how to deal with the dirty tactics of an interviewer who is pretending to be a journalist, but is really just a propagandist promoting an agenda.

AWESOME!!!

Is this twerp a naturalized

Is this twerp a naturalized citizen or something? What right does he have to tell us what we should do with our laws and rights and constitution. Let him go back to his socialist paradise and improve upon it.

Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan

is a British national.

The question is, how can we expedite his exit process, legally?

Wow, very poor interview

I never thought Piers Morgan could go THAT low. It's unfortunate that emotions often override rational thought.

Does this make me gay?

I love watching Piers Morgan get royally ***'ed by guests like Larry Pratt and Jesse Ventura. Boy, I can't stand that guy! I wanna poke him in the eye with a fountain pen. He picks such fantastic guests.

Is this why he has a show? Because he's good at getting egg on his face?

Michael Nystrom's fists can punch through FUD.

Assault Rifles were born from "big gov't wars" not civilian

defense or for hunting purposes.

One person with a S&W .45 could have stopped this Lanza.

I don't agree that we should arm the teachers -- I think each school should have multiple exits per classroom, several large panic-rooms, and a SWAT trained private-security team on-site.

Most teachers do not have the "mettle" or the "training" to become the kind of safety-providers you could get with a highly trained team.

Also -- schools need the ability to lock each wing and each class needs to have bullet proof doors that lock.

Problem solve.

No.7's picture

Your solution is expensive, unrealistic, and absurd

The real solution to this problem and so many others is simply restoring the Constitution as the supreme law of the land that it is. Teachers should already be free to carry at work, it's their Constitutional Right. No teacher should be forced to carry, we as Libertarians oppose force.

The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his Government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe. - Andrew Jackson

My solution is too expensive?

You'd rather have welfarists carrying guns then a small team of prvate contractors?

My solution might cost the parents of a 2000 kid school $20 per month and its a free-market solution.

my idea can be implemented tomorrow your idea of restoring the Republic and restoring the Constitution well it took RonPaul 30 years to not get that done and it will likely take another let's just say 5 to 10 years, I don't even think its feasible, but let's just say takes 5 to 10 years my idea can be put in tomorrow yours is not going to be done this year the socialist ideas is too ban assault rifle or make more restrictions on who can get guns how long will that take them meanwhile the kids sit in schools unprotected.

I can see why it'd get downvoted.

I have teachers in my family and they would not carry guns.

Most teachers are big govt socialists, unionists, and pacifists.

The lockable bullet proof door would solve most problems.

No.7's picture

You can't want freedom for yourself and not for

"welfarists" too. It's fundamental to my freedom for everyone else to be free as well. That means that yes, the progressives, marxists, socialists, and even the dang ole commies should have the right to bear arms. Everyone should be able to defend themselves. The solution I proposed to you is not my solution, it's the founder's solution. I, unlike you, do not believe I am smart enough to solve all the problems in the world. I also do not assume that money is not an object in Government projects. You seem to think the Government has the right to steal as much money from us as possible to protect schools. You know what happens after you're solution?? Mass shootings move from schools to other crowded places. Quit being a whiny pessimist and support the message of Peace, Gold, and Love that Dr. Paul wants. Good day friend.

The individual who refuses to defend his rights when called by his Government, deserves to be a slave, and must be punished as an enemy of his country and friend to her foe. - Andrew Jackson

Don't bash OctoBox too hard...

After all, he just has another opinion.

Most of us here, Octo, believe in restoring the Constitution as Dr. Paul always preaches. If we were all "under Constitutional Law" right now, many believe that more civilians would be more safe.

Although, I strongly disagree with your "Most teachers are big govt socialists, unionists, and pacifists" comment. Wondering if you have a source for that comment...

Yep.

I whole-heartedly agree 100% with absolute certainty. With a cherry on top.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

More Taxes?

"I don't agree that we should arm the teachers -- I think each school should have multiple exits per classroom, several large panic-rooms, and a SWAT trained private-security team on-site"

Last time I checked our country is broke! How are we going to afford to outfit every school with more exits, panic rooms and swat teams, bullet proof doors and some kind of control room with computers that can lock down different wings????????????????? You sound like you are running for congress with that bright idea.

Who said more taxes?

Private security in a 2000 kid school might cost the parents $10 to $20 per month

The door idea alone w would save lives.

These can be free market solutions.

We Need To Send

"We need to send Ted Nugent to London to annoy them" Adam Carolla

Be careful - - if you look at this

from a non-libertarian point of view, the ridicule works very well.

No one cares if someone makes logical points with verified statistics.

The whole narrative is that anyone who wants anything other than a muzzle loader is selfish and foolish. The MSM is skewing every emotionally wrenching event to fit the "selfish and foolish" meme. For example, I saw a report on CNN that compared US behavior during Katrina to the Japanese during the Tsunami, where they dutifully lined up to receive their government food like so many sheep.

Using logic and reason will not work in this battle for the social narrative. We are not owning anyone, we are getting hammered. Expect a ban on assault weapons, large clips, making your own ammunition, and a large tax and restrictions on ammunition.

Correct

As well as I thought Pratt performed during the interview, Pierced-brain Morgan fed his audience what they thrive on; irrational emotion-based pablum, demagoguery, and ad-hominem, tactless, disrespectful discourse. Pratt did as well as anyone could do under the circumstances and I commend him. He won to the extent that P.M. failed to get him to conform to his and his audiences' image of a "gun nut" or kook.

na i doubt

i am always keen on 'the other point of view', especially when i see it on live television and not in front of my computer, i know how things feel to the general public, i can feel the air. his appearance was good. a side piece of evidence was morgan feeling the need to bring on 4 consecutive anti gun guests thereafter. if the segment was edited, it would have been way worse if he ended with this interview.

It's not fair to say Piers had a tantrum in front of the nation

due to the fact that nobody watches his stupid show.

Ahh hahahaha

No offense to Brits here, but I hate that Brit. I think they might hate him, too, though.

nice lol

I've watched him a few times.. once when he was interviewing the Jackson's after Micheal died, then when Jesse Ventura was on and this one.

Piers is quite the obsessive type and he has some sort of superiority complex going on. He has this mind set that because its his show he gets to yell and scream and talk over people when the conversation is not going the way he likes it. Pretty much the british version of Bill O'Reilly lol. Except much more annoying when piers starts to get angry.

This stuff is the slap you in the face kind of bias that -should- make people sit back and say, hey.. wait a minute he is arguing facts and you dont want to hear what he has to say?

Why is it that people dont want to take a step back and logically think this through? Speaking from the people at homes' perspective, I know why the media do it, pure propaganda force feeding.

oh you've got to watch

that Ventura interview. You see Morgan's own audience nodding with Ventura on 9/11 points.

"Watching CNN on Comcast: $45/month.
"50 inch TV: $700.
"Watching Piers Morgan's own audience agree with his opponent: PRICELESS.

For everything else, there's Ron Paul."

He tried to pull his crap on

He tried to pull his crap on Ron Paul too. He is an imbecile. Why doesn't he go back to his socialist paradise in Europe?

Is everyone going to ignore prescription drugs?

Piers is really trying to push his agenda. Tonight's episode was just as bad. It's crazy how all these debates I have been hearing never mention prescription meds these killers are on. I'm sure someone will post it soon.

I've been trying

to bring that up, sir! We need to shift the conversation in that direction, imo.

Don't forget all the

Don't forget all the stocking-up on ammunition - over 1 billion bullets.

Incredible.

Huge respect to Pratt. Really retained his dignity in the face of quite unbelievably ugly intimidation tactics by Morgan. Who seems to sink lower and lower into irrational and hysterical socialist dogma. This is a despicable abuse of Morgan's power as host of the show, nothing more than anti-intellectual abuse. What makes Pratt's composure and coherence so impressive is that Morgan rarely has such a warp factor 10 meltdown. He actually loses it and throws everything he can at his 'guest' but it does not work. Morgan defeated.

Morgan's Tactic

Morgan's tactic of using ridicule is right out of the Alinsky playbook. Kudos to Mr Pratt for maintainig the high ground.
