TSA

I heard that the TSA was wanting to set up checkpoints and random searches in malls, theaters, and the streets and highways. Why not schools? Thoughts anyone? BTW, I heard this BEFORE the mall shooting or the school shooting. I think there was more involved than drugs and mental illness to these stories.

This bill and also his initiative to stop forced psychiatric

testing for students (which was used to force students to take psychiatric drugs) would have helped to slow down the pill-popping culture.

(Here is the 2007 video of Kent Snyder on Ron Paul's initiative.)

If there is any decency in congress

This should be the first bill introduced as "meaningful action" to prevent another attack on unarmed civilians.

In a free society, people have a right to defend themselves against a threat to their life- even at a school.

This talk about armed police or security at schools is not just expensive and unrealistic, but it would further the agenda to numb the populace to a police state. The answer is to allow people to have their freedom.

Not everyone will want to take on the responsibility of bearing arms, just as not everyone is cut out to be a fireman or a medic, but someone might or might not be armed. This would act as a deterrent and the element of concealment and mystery as to who is armed works to the advantage of the righteous. Do not fear freedom.

The founders would be ashamed at us for what we are putting up with.

Security guards at schools would be the first targets,....

unless they wore plain clothes, not uniforms. Several teachers carrying concealed would be enough of a deterrent, IMO. Having gun-free zones are like open invitations for people hellbent on killing innocents. There won't be any decency left in Congress after Ron Paul leaves next month (That is really sad to write.). It will be just a den filled with greedy amoral liars.
Appreciated reading your comment.

Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990, AKA

"Fill Our Schools with Un-armed Targets"

This bill from 1990 should have never come to a vote.

It should have not been passed. It's unconstitutional. These poor kids and teachers are targets alright, sitting ducks for the crazies. This is a grim situation made grimmer by this gun-free zone law.
Thanks for the bump.
