EXCLUSIVE: Nancy Lanza feared son, Adam, was ‘getting worse’; told friend ‘he was burning himself with a lighter’ and that she was ‘losing him’

Excerpts from article:

Adam Lanza’s mother Nancy Lanza told a friend that she was afraid she was ‘losing’ her son, whose behavior was gradually getting worse.
Adam, who killed Nancy Lanza, 54, before unleashing a nightmarish attack that killed 20 children and six others at the school Friday, was prone to hurting himself, the drinking buddy said.

“Nancy told me he was burning himself with a lighter. In the ankles or arms or something,” he recalled of a conversation they had about a year ago. “It was like he was trying to feel something.”

(earlier reported he could not feel pain and was closely watched all through childhood and he was never to be left alone because he might hurt himself. {babysitter})

Very bad parenting, the

Very bad parenting, the mother was obviously irresponsible, why not having the guns looked? The kid must have hated his mother pretty bad in order to kill her, if he didn't love his mother, how can he care about others?
This kid was the product of bad parenting, violent video games, drugs and pure evil, for example look at those soldiers killing 17 villagers few month ago in Afghanistan, evil people simply exist.

So, just to make sure I'm getting this

- Kid was notably withdrawn, possibly mildly autistic, and probably relied almost completely on his mother to function
- The mother seemingly hung around a bar (or bars) enough that she was known as a regular
- Kid may have been on anti-depressants
- The boy may have heard constant talk from the mother about blaming the school system for not helping her son
- The mother taught her unpredictable son to be comfortable handling firearms, HOWEVER she apparently did nothing special to secure those weapons from a son she could barely handle
- The son erupts one day, kills the mother using unsecured weapons, then realizing his life was effectively over went straight for the source of the mother's anger....

Am I leaving anything out? All theory and pieced together bits of information, and I'm not really following or interested in this case.
