Re: Why Ban Assault Weapons? (Share this picture)

A comment by "Kiss My Tea Bag" inspired me to make this picture w/ text:

Here is the comment:

"We have a president and many Democrats that want get as many assault weapons to Syrian citizens to fight and defend themselves from an oppressive regime while they take action against American citizens from having those same weapons.

You want to greatly reduce gun violence? End the War on Drugs. You want to stop the mentally disturbed from carrying out mass killings? Stop the DoE, FDA and Big Pharma from pumping them full of psychotropic pharmaceuticals that turns them into suicidal/homicidal zombies.

Emotional PC over-reactions bring a series of unintended consequences that cycle into more emotional PC over-reactions."

Thanks "KMTB"!

According to a trusted friend, during the 1968 "Tet Offensive,"

the CIA air dropped hundreds of cases of "grease guns" (crude machine guns)and millions of rounds of ammunition into South Vietnam, so that the citizens could "protect themselves". Given the concentrations of Viet Cong and North Vietnamese in South Vietnam, our government tells us THAT is more responsible than private ownership of "assault weapons"?

Your logic

Your logic is sound. Nice work.

If a Picture is worth 1,000 words....

...then a photograph proves that....

This one is worth a million, speaks volumes.

Thanks a million and BUMP!

Epic.

I try to change people every day. Do You?

Rationality is in the mind of the beholder (or something)

My brother in law died in a handgun accident when my first baby was a month old. It turned me "anti gun" for many years. From that view, I can see "scary, scary men with guns!" in that photo and a threat that Americans might rebel...
I just doubt this has the same effect on liberals as it does on conservatives.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

In theory...

I have no doubt...
But in the linked photo, there are no US style AR's... Look more like AK's!

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

The Poor-Man's Rifle...

...or weapon used against repressive regimes is the one in the above-linked photo...the SKS 7.62x39mm Carbine.
Inexpensive, battle-tested,and a veritable workhorse for patriots and the not-so-wealthy gun enthusiast.

This was the fore-runner to the AK47, happy viewing

Are not...

Are not the "Syrian Rebels" the same people our CIA calls al qaeda?"

Are Not..

...the CIA Agents and their ilk not any better than terrorists themselves?
Thanks for making that point.
